I've been receiving a hella lot of complaints (and submissions) about / for the banner. Just the other day I bought a new 19" LCD Flat Screen monitor which - surprise surprise - I can actually see!
What does this mean?
It means that - at last - I can see what people have been complaining about... and I completely agree. Well, at least on one thing. There still won't be any submissions from users for a new banner, since that is against forum policy. Also, I can't really make it merge nicely with the bg without using transparent PNGs (which older versions of Internet Explorer can't run properly... then again, that might spur some stubborn users out there to conver to FireFox - the internet god!).
I do, however, totally see what you guys mean about the 'coffe stain' issue going on there. I swear, I couldn't see that at all on my old monitor. Looked black to me.
I will be updating it tomorrow with two changes I think are going to appease quite a few people (at least to some degree).

> Removed odd smudges from upper left of banner image (which were actually old traces of "Robo-Diablo")
> Changed banner to a PNG image
> Added a transparency mask to both edges, for seamless blending with the background
> Removed the weird 'coffee stains' from both sides of the image'
If anyone is having trouble with viewing the image (specifically if you are seeing it with a white background), that is not my fault, but your internet browser's. All up-to-date browsers can handle transparent PNGs without issue. Only old versions - especially Internet Explorer - can't view them properly.
It would be unfair to continue punishing those of us who have upgraded for the small few of you who haven't. (Not trying to single anyone out here, but it's that old 'greater good' sorta thing).

Also, Opera ftw...
Either way, I wan't the old mountains back... But I know I won't get that so I'll shut up about that...
I suppose I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.
Yeah, the old mountains were Warcraft, so they really weren't appropriate anyways.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
I use 6 web browsers and Opera is my favorite.

Meh, looked like land masses on some sort of background map to me...
I thought that it was a generic banner from vBulletin that Umaro added "Diablo3.com" to... That's what I was told originally...
Meh, it was what was up when I joined, and I have somewhat of a hard head. ;D
I use FF and Opera. (IE want's me, but IE is a whore and I refuse to touch it!)
Yeah, it was a generic Warcraft Theme.
I'm the same about a lot of things. (As far as sudden change goes).
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
See, now I can see what you're talking about.
