I saw in the news that this game was given a free-to-play option (So I guess it's now called Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited). I did my best to search for this game to see if anyone else spoke about it in the forums and I didn't find too much discussion, so I wondered if anyone had any experience with it as I was thinking of giving it a try because it looked kind of cool and free happens to be very appealing right now. Not much more to say than that...

I haven't played it yet...but being a free mmo make it almost certainly a failure especially compared to WoW....but give it a go and see for yourself....nothing to lose considering its free
I been playing it for a few months so far. If your already a DnD fan then u will love it. its by far the best F2P game out there so far. But thats my Opinion.
Try it even if you never played DnD. If you like a lot of RPGs then Definitely try it.
I'm a 4th lvl cleric/2nd level ranger so far. btw levels take longer to get to the cap is 20 atm, but don't think its fast to get to. once u start playing you will understand what i mean.
Only downside to F2P players is it takes longer to reach max lvl and to unlock areas. If you have a lot of time on your hands then have a blast.

Whats the end game like? raids? pvp? something else?
Hmph, played it when it was Pay2Play, played it when it was Free2Play.
Lacks a proper tutorial for those not yet initiated in the mystery that is Dungeon&Dragon.
And the worst thing is, you have to pay for Drows and some classes! Pay!
not true to unlock stuff on a F2P u just have to gain enough favor! i'm 50 favor away from drow as of now and i only played for 2 months!
the only thing a VIP gains is that they don't have to unlock all the stuff. They get bigger bank space, they can start guilds, and unlimited auctioning at auction house thats all!

Hey emilemil1 what are you rolling? I plan on downloading the game soon and I think a buddy of mine are going to try playing--it's always good to know people in these sorts of things...
Or how about, if there is anyone from Diablofans who plays, what server do you play on?

I will probably start with a Drow Sorcerer. I always go with a 100% magic build when I try a new game
I will choose Bard if I have a premade party to play with.
EDIT: Final Choice: Human Cleric
Customized for wisdom (18), constitution (14) and charisma (14).
Skills/feats are all supporting healing.
That would be awesome if you wanted to party with my buddy and I since I think I'll go for some type of DPS/Melee Support (like a bard/fighter/rogue who buffs damage and does solid damage, and can maybe tank easier stuff--or slightly harder stuff with good healing) and I think my friend plans on an offensive caster (wizard/sorc).
What server or whatever are you on?

Im gona join you guys on Ghallanda. Probably tomorrow
cool?
Sounds good to me. I'll do my best to make it online and I'll try to drag my buddy online with me. As I said he says he wants to make a caster who nukes stuff (his words) and I will actually probably just make a fighter/tanky type character. I'll let you know on this forum when I get online and what my in game name is once I get in-game and I guess just let us know what name to look for you under.
Cheers and I hope this game turns out to be entertaining

I've always found rogues (Or stealth-based characters, for that matter) the most fun to play.
With mages, you can simply blow shit up. Warriors, rush in and beat shit up. Rogues you generally need to plan attacks, since you don't have as much health/armor as the warriors, or the range capabilities of mages.
Take, for example, a rogue character in Oblivion. Definitely the most fun I had in that game.
Making new poisons was so much fun ^^.

I thought it was a different version.
Man, would I ever be pissed if I was one of the older players.
Basically paid for nothing :/.
