We've been quiet for a while over here, but that's about to change. As you all know, we're applying the polishing touches on our huge Zone 3 update. But we're also going to be making some website changes. Big ones. Our website has been long neglected, but our crack team has put together a killer new site that will be unveiled very soon! Probably even this week. Right now we're tentatively scheduled to bring down this site on Thursday morning, and we'll be down for several hours while we make sure everything is hooked up right. When we come back up, a sparkling new Mythos site will be revealed.
There are a couple of things you need to be aware of. When the new site comes up, there will be no more beta sign ups. Also, the invitations granted to your account will no longer work, so send them out now if you've got 'em! This is because we'll soon be transitioning into an Open Beta Test, where anyone can download and play Mythos! There's a lot to be excited about, and the action is going to be fast and furious from here on out. Buckle your seat belts!!!

Yeah I just read that last night too. I'm really surprised more of this forum isn't interested in the game. It pratically has the same exact gameplay functionality as diabloII.
yeah but its not as dark as diablo. its quite teh colourful. much more warcraft-style... but I'll definitely give it a go. who knows, it may be slightly impressive.
Along with the beta release will probably also come the new zone. This will be the biggest upgrade to mythos yet, including PvP, crafting, a new race and class, as well as tons of fixed bugs. So perhaps it will be fixed and you'll be able to run it in windows vista 64.
I take it you've checked out the forum and told them about your problem. If you don't and they aren't made aware of it then it won't get fixed.
I could go on and on about all of the similar qualities that it has to diablo 2.
The interface is completely identical. Health on the bottom left, Mana on the bottom right. Item slots on the bottom. Left click skill, right click skill. A skill tree with 3 different trees per class. Stats screen is pretty much the same. The action is very diabloII. It's quick and relies heavily on AOE. Rare items, Special items, Set items.
I've played through the beta a few different times. I've experienced no lag. No there isn't a single player. I've never played single player on d2 or starcraft. So I don't notice it.
The theme is more lighter, the graphics are a bit cutesy. It's the only game I've found that has the closest gameplay functionality as diablo2.
It's strange how Blizzard have managed to create a reputation for only releasing games when they are ready and if they are good enough yet Flagship, the devs who made Diablo 2, managed to tarnish their reputation with the first game that they put out.
I'll probably try Mythos but I'm not at all excited by it as so far every game that Flagship have released has been poor.

They've only released one game?
Flagship is founded by the D2 fathers. Mythos is being developed by the developers of Fate, the single player rpg.
its not just that the Blizzard games are relatively bug free (as much as it can when a game is released). Its also the quality of the games in general. I was quite enthusiastic about Hellgate: London when it came out and i rushed to buy it and i was widely disappointed with the result, meaning both bugs and game content. The one game i didnt expect to be as good as it is is The Witcher and i'll expect the next of that studio (CD-Project) too from now on.

Blizzard is lucky, it has enough ressources to close undesirable projects. If you look at their list of cancelled games they have a product deemed acceptable for ever 4 unsuccessful ventures.
If blizzard hadn't been so successful early on and had they not reeled in considerable amounts of money from WoW, they might have been forced to finish and release SC ghost even though it wasn't ready and was somewhat "outdated" as far as graphics go.
I don't know the financial status of FFS so I don't know if they were forced to release prematurely.
Neither of us really know how much each team contributes. So I suppose it's more of a stale mate if I try to argue. It's being released under Flagship but developed by the Seattle team(I think). Yeah...
Mythos is fun at first but god it gets boring quickly. It's a fun diversion but don't think you're getting a game with the immersiveness of diablo. It's a fair old grind.

Also, when creating a thread like this, make sure you add a link to you post for Flagship and/or their Mythos site...

Don't be embaressed. You thought they had more than 1 release. It's ok..
What a bizarre post, on so many levels.
