The monk did not even flinch at the shouting from the paladin. He sat there continuing to hum away and meditate. He gently rocked back and forth as he hummed. His arms were laying idle on his crossed legs with both of this hands hanging over his knees the thumb and middle finger touching together.
The mule started when the man in armor shouted. It began to back away from the group and away from the monk. The pots and pans and the bags on its back rattled, clanked, and moaned (leather type moan) as the mule moved away from the group.

As we approached the meditating monk - his mule started getting a little nervous after Sir Elric spoke - so I slowly walk over pulling out a root I had stashed away offering it to the mule.

The mule continued to back away from the group. When the lady pulled the root out it stopped backing up. He looked at the monk for a few moments and then he stepped forward toward the woman. The mule took hold of the root in it's teeth and pulled it away and then began to chew on it.

"Monk, we are on a most noble quest to hunt down an evil mage, you are most welcome to accompany us, what say you?" Sir Elric asked. "On quests such as this, one often finds the need for another warrior or healer
"we are travelling to Amn, to learn what we can of this talisman, It belongs to the evil mage" Said Sir Elric holding up a cloth with a drawing of the talisman, as Baeithra Baeurden held the actual talisman.

Venex was almost too distracted to notice the monk and his mule. He had been practicing the golem incantation taught to him by Balgarath when the company came upon the holy man sitting by the road and was deep in concentration. He held his wand over the dirt and chanted. "Praeses Alia Fero!". Nothing happened. He obviously wasn't doing something right. He tried it with a different emphasis. "Praeses Alia Fero!". Still nothing. "Well this is useless," he grumbled to himself.
Suddenly he realized that he was standing alone. Nobody was ahead of him. He turned around and saw the group standing around a monk, meditating at the side of the road. "On quests such as this, one often finds the need for another warrior or healer," Sir Elric was saying.
The Necromancer decided that the monk wasn't worth his attention at the moment and instead continued practing quietly. "Praeses Alia Fero!". Nothing.
Skylor blinked and opened his eyes and looked around. He smiled wide as he looked the entire group over. He stood up and brushed off his robes then rolled up the small cloth he had been sitting on and looked at his mule.
The mule was still munching on a root given to him by the woman. The monk arched an eyebrow and chuckled in amusement.
"Goofy old mule." He said and then he turned his attention to the the paladin. "You travel on a noble quest you say? Hrm...that is a very interseting medalion. I think maybe whomever made it has much fear in their heart but anyway that's neither here nor there."
Skylor put his rolled up padding back on a satchel that the mule carried and then grabbed his spade staff which he had left on the ground. He planted the spade end into the ground with the cresent facing the sky.
"Well sir knight do you think you can travel with an excummunicated paladin of Torm?" The monk smiled. "Because that's what I am. If you can travel with someone that was thrown from the church because of actions unbecomming then I will gladly travel with you to try and spread inner peace and tranquility, in addition with that I can heal when I need to and I hit pretty hard too."

"Then I welcome the addition of your skills, your fall from the path of righteousness is not my primary concern right now, The whereabouts of a vile and evil mage is" Sir Elric said to the monk. "I will worry about your salvation when this black hearted scoundrel is spending an eternity in the Nine Hells"

The monk grabbed the lead rope of the mule and made sure everything was fastened down tight.
"We are ready and will follow your lead sir knight."

"Then let us adventure together!" Sir Elric said. "And may the gods be with us!"
And so with the addition of the monk amongst their ranks, the group continued onward to Amn, and closer to their goal finding the mage.
"lady Cinara, if you do not mind me asking, how is it you came to be an adventurer?" Sir Karl asked. "Usually, woman like yourself remain in the temples and churches, it is rare to see one that is not some battle hardened barbarian woman, ha ha"

As the monk joined the ranks of the traveling party and began to follow them on the road he looked over the group again. He noticed that most of the group was extremely quiet and regarded the one that was waving a wand over dirt with some interest. The man must be mad. This should be interesting really. A group of warriors, necromancers, and clerics all after that mage. Yes, that mage.
Skylor smiled wide and walked along with them with Karym close behind him.

Carloseus jumped up and organized his belongings quickly. The group was on beginning to leave and here he was sleeping! He finally managed everything into an imbued pack, an old used and worn traveling sack which held ten times the size it was. Passed down to him by his father, before his entire family had met their end at the hands of demons.
"Ahh, we begin again at last!" he exclaimed. His body had recovered from the first battle with his new fellowship, and he felt stronger though his physical appearances were unaltered. He had hoped to impress lady Cinara with a larger appearance, however he had not grown in size at all despite the new power coursing through his veins.
Thufir, staying near the back of the group, as was his habit, missed the exchange between the monk and the others. What he did notice, however, was Venex falling back a bit, muttering. "What are you saying, Venex? Trying to get another Johnny?"
Zubin was standing far away from Venex but was seeing all that was happening. He saw a monk who had just joined the group walking with a mild smile on his face. He looked as if he did not have any worries. Zubin knew that the group was about to leave as he saw Carl packing things and then talking to Cinara. Zubin saw that mostly everyone was busy doing something.
He started to walk towards Carl and Cinara. When he approached them he said : ''Ummm... Hello Carl. Hope you remember me.''. He turned towards lady Cinara and said : ''Hello lady. I think we never had an actual meeting. I'm Zubin. I'm not so experienced in killing demons but i can do many things ummm ... cannot recall them all right now.''. He then stood still for a while and then politely said : ''Can i join you two in the journey? As i mostly see you both together i think i can continue the journey with you. I can make you some of the world's most delicious and soothing drinks if you want. I always keep the ingredients in my bag. But i can only make some of them right now as i lack sources.''.
Zubin waited for an answer with a cheesy grin on his face. (actually he looked stupid)

"What are you saying, Venex? Trying to get another Johnny?" It was Thufir. Venex put his wand back in it's place, tired and frustrated with his fruitless attempts at producing a golem. He turned to face his friend.
"In a manner, yes. But not really." He could see Thufir was confused. "I spoke earlier with Balgarath - he being a wiser Necromancer than myself - about how to raise one of those..." he pointed at Vassalus. "Johnny is a great companion, and one I would never hope to lose, but I can feel that wherever we're off to will be more perilous than any place I've been before. I want to be ready. I feel the pull of Trang-Oul encouraging me to hone my skills."
Thufir nodded, getting the gist. "I just," said the Necromancer. "Just can't get the damned spell to work! I must speak with Balgarath again. You may accompany me if you'd like." He headed over to the cloaked Necromancer and looked to see if Thufir would follow.
Balgarath reached into his cloak and pulled out a long pipe and some narlet weed, and began to smoke it when Venex approached him with a troubled look on his face.
"Hmm having trouble are we young necromancer" Balgarath said "I almost forgot, here take this charm, it should help you to better channel your magical energies"
Balgarath handed Venex a small charm with a itching of a serpent on it.
"hmm it is getting late, we had best seek shelter" Balgarath said.
"Yes, If memory serves, there should be a small tavern not far from here." Sir Karl replied. "Not the most luxurious of establishments, nor is it the most forthcoming, but it should suffice."

"Well Sir Karl, not too long ago demons invaded my home while I was away gathering herbs and when I came back everything was burned to the ground. My parents were dead and my brothers were turned into beasts; but we are somehow able to communicate with each other telepathicly. We decided to go in search of the demons that placed the curse/spell on them.
As far as my fighting skills, my father was a warrior and since we lived on the outskirts of the forest he thought it best to teach us the arts of combat. We sparred regularly and even had a few skirmishes with groups of thieves and the foul folk.
When we came upon Kythorn, we found need of our services there and decided to stay for a bit. That is when I learned of the similar demon problems and decided to join the group."
*Balgarath announced that we will be seeking shelter soon and Sir Karl mentioned a tavern near.*
"A tavern would be nice right now - my water skins are low and I am getting hungry." I replied.

Venex accepted the charm graciously, tying it to his vest along with his other trinkets. He noticed that the engraving on the charm glowed a deep blue colour when he had finished tying the knot. Suddenly a surge of energy ran through his body, and the Necromancer fought to keep from yelping in surprise. The charm had given him energy, he realized. Energy enough to create a golem?
He walked back to Thufir as he heard voices behind him speaking. "Yes, If memory serves, there should be a small tavern not far..." Sir Elric was saying. He ignored it, again caught up in the magic. "Praeses..." he began, waving his wand over the earth. "Alia..." This is it! "Fero!"
There was a muffled roar as the earth at his feet cracked and buckled upwards. The Necromancer did yelp this time and nearly fell over. He stepped back clumsily as a hulking form of mud and dirty rose in front of him. The golem was taller than he, and horridly ugly - not bad for a creature made of muck I suppose. The golem gave a rough salute, as was the custom of summoned creatures. Johnny stood staring at the golem, impressed and intimidated. He felt rather weak in comparison, or so Venex guessed.
"Well hello," he said at last. "We need to get you name now. Don't we, Johnny?" The skeleton nodded slowly and cautiously, not wanting to startle the mud being. "I've got it!" he said, excitedly.
"Well, you seem to have gotten it to work. I thought maybe you'd forgotten to focus on the dirt!" Thufir laughed. "Than again, who'd want to!" Brevity aside, Thufir thought on how this would impact the group. Another member would be helpful, especially a member who was as tough to kill as the earth itself. "Hey, just how many of those can you make? And how often can you make them? What happens when they're destroyed?" he asked as plans began to form in his head.
"I believe only one," responded Venex. "And doing so is very taxing. I hope we arrive at the tavern soon as I-" he yawned "... I'm very tired now". His eyes shut and opened, slowly. "As for what happens when he's destroyed, I suppose we shall have to wait and see..."
