I have tried numerous times to add the beta to my battle.net account. Every time i download the program, it reads my computer specs, and when i hit send it always messes up. I have turned off norton and windows firewall and for some reason i still cannot send. Anyone run into this problem and know how to fix it?
use internet explorer to open your battle.net account. it always fails to update it when using firefox and i suspect it does the same with other browsers too.
I get the same problme. It tells me its unable to send to battle.net and its like make sure your connected to the internet (Which I am) and whatever. Kinda sucks.

Go to Control Panel > Internet Options
From the Internet Options dialog box, go to the Connections tab.
Click LAN Setting. Uncheck the Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) checkbox. Finally, tick: 'Automatically detect settings'.
Tried that still didnt work think I should redownload a new beta opt in thing since the oen I had sitting on my desktop is kinda old.

Hi, I had the same problem. This is what I did to solve my similar problem.
I looked up my modem/router on google to find my defualt IP to my router, so look at your modem/router or just router if its seperate from the modem on google. So in my case I went to google and typed in "thompson Model number acg905-c defualt ip address". My results came up as 192.168.100.1 (my past routers were 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1). Then I opened up my intenet browser and typed in the IP address for my router "192.168.100.1" . The browser accessed my router and asked for a password, most cases your defult user name is "admin" and the password is left blank, or the user name is left blank and the password is "admin". (if you cant figure it out use the google method, so in my case I would search for "thompson Model number acg905-c defualt user name and password".
Once inside your router settings, look for an option called Forwarding or port forwarding. Once in this section of your router your going to want add these to your list of ports to forward.

Set the Protocal to "Both" TCP UDP option for all of these ports.
Its going to ask for a name for each port, you can name them all the same thing, I named my Blizzard.
Once you enter all of these click save or apply, most cases routers need about a min to reset. Let it breath then go back to battle.net redownload a fresh opt in download, since I was told by a blizzard rep that they have a time limit and try again, make sure you turn off or in some cases remove your antivirus/firwalls.
no it didnt! ugg alkerjq;e i guess im doomed to never experience beta.. noble effort guys.
Good news! after doing everything we could.. and after pulling some hair out, i decided to change my default browser to firefox. Success!!! Desmondtiny, give it a try! i was getting the same error as you over and over. hope it works for you.

So, with my new rig, I am trying to update my beta settings. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to work. I have tried all of the above suggestions and still cannot get it to work. It reads my computer but when I go to send I get the same error message of not being able to send the information. Does anybody have any other suggestions?
I've removed firewalls, security systems, opened ports and have tried IE, firefox, and safari. Nothing has worked.

did you just use ie,firefox and safari just to get to battle.net? or did you change them to your default browser? it was the only thing that worked for me.
silly question
I am still having problems with this but I have a question,
after I add game, and submit my system specs for beta, if I get a new computer, can I resubmit my specs?
I plan to get new computer at some point down the road soon, and I don't want them to skip me if my current computer doesn't have enough ram or what have you.

This relates to my problem I am having. I added a few gigs of RAM and decided 'eh, what the hell might as well update.' Well I go to update and get that error. So me being smart I think, 'well maybe it is because my info is already in.' So I delete my existing (off by 2GB RAM) info to attempt to upload it again and get the error. So now I am stuck and hoping to find a solution by July.
