-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

DiabloII with higher resolution and i want all monster to die like diablo(you know it shouts and fall..very fantastic)!!!but there is no doubt that diablo 1 is more and more gothic than diablo 2.need very dark colours please.need to practise before the real diablo:)
well...if it turns to any other graphics not DII... the only thing that i concern is "IT MAY NOT TURN OUT THAT EXCITING LIKE DII"...which made me running away from the monsters in hell level...they're just like some maniac killer bees...and to be honest, I liked that.
who the hell keeps voting for WOW, those graphics suck!

I voted for onlivion graphics, but with one exception i would want the whole game in oblivion graphics but could you imagine the atmosphere of diablo 3 and all the surroundings graces by the awseome detail of the oblivion graphics? How ever cool that would be i would still keep the character and monster desing in diablo 2 graphics format. Concidering that i am going to college for game and art design and i am getting a job placement within Blizzard i might have the chance to actually present this idea.....maybe. P.S. WoW is overated!!!!!!!!!!! and i am sick and tired of Blizzard posting nothing but WoW stuff on there website.
I really liked the oblivion graphics but i dont think my computer would be able to run such high graphics cause its a piece of crap so i stuck with D2 graphics

Wow, not to mention the lack of players who would have computers that could support such disgustingly high amounts of power.

Well, duh. It's an MMORPG with over 6 million subscribers. And they only have a few thousand employees to maintain the game in its entirety. Not to say it's overrated, it just requires a large workforce. Don't get me wrong, that game kicks ass.
I think that D3 should have 3D graphics to a certain degree. Something along the lines of Untold Legends with smoother models (much smoother). And since that wouldn't require as much computer power to render, there's room for better physics engines in the game as well. And give it a bit more complexity to the events in a given battle. Such as parrying, and dodging and stuff like that. And that kind of engine would require a 3D environment to work.
Right, mutton. But you have to understand my frustration i dont really mind WoW at all but blizzard has other games that helped make it's name besides warcraft you know and all i am saying is hey, how about throwing a little bone to those who dont really care to hear about WoW news 24/7.
As far as not being able to support the oblivion grapghics let me explain the whole concept of mine a little better. First off i didin't mean to have the whole game in the oblivion graphics format, but the envirnment, the trees all the foilage the fire water lighting rain etc nature shit. Second i dont expect the game to be first peson like oblivion what i mean is everything except envirnment is D2 style., and as far as not being able to run the game because of your out dated graphics cards well i hate to say it but pc games are not just gonna start going technilogically backwardds to fit our needs they gonna keep moving on up.

Well I'd have to answer your question with another question. Hey, why not throw Blizzard a bone? I mean, they are running an internationally renowned MMORPG with millions of subscribers that requires lots of maintenance. Patience is a virtue.
You'll see some new gaming developments soon enough. Probably after the WoW expansion. And they've already got undisclosed projects in development, so leave it alone.

Do you have any idea how ugly that would look? Not to mention that it would still require a massive amount of processing power? I mean, D2 characters were very detailed, but they were still only pixels, and putting them into an environment filled with light engines, tons of objects, such as grass, shrubbery, trees, rocks, and shit like that, it would be terrible.
Wow, my GPU is only outdated by about a year since the release of Oblivion. Anyone else here can agree with me that it requires a disgustingly large amount of computer power to play, and unlike you, we don't have parents that are willing to dish out thousands of dollars for top-of-the-line hardware.
And who says it has to step backwards? In fact, knowing more about technology now, we could probably take D2 graphics, with smooth model versions of characters like in Untold Legends, which is basically a spoof off of D2, and then, add more interactivity content, like I mentioned before.
Besides, if the hardware requirements are less demanding, that means more people can buy it, which means that Blizzard doesn't share your thinking.
Hey mutton listem before you go bashing people online think for one i dont live with my parents i make 12 dollars an hour and two dont take a post so seriously it's a discussion not an arguement. Also thank you for proving my point even more about blizzard your right they are currently attending to ONE game and one only and it is getting real old.
and who is to say that they couldn't take teh oblivion graphics and kick them down some on the pixels and every other deciding factore to be more friendly and by the way Mutty boy it was an idea nothing to take seriously when i said that it would be cool. so take your ADD riddled ass out to your mom and ask for your daily dose of riddelin.
Wrong thread. But forgive me for making the misconception about your age. I figured you for a mere child because of your poor spelling.
But seriously, you need to get of Blizzard's case. I don't know how many reiterations of why they are putting so much effort into WoW it will take before you cut them some slack. It's one thing to hope for D3 to start going in the works, but it's another to just complain and complain.
Anyways, anyone else have any opinions on graphics.
I'm sure many of us Diablo fans have seen/played Dungeon Siege 1/2. To me, Dungeon Siege looked and felt like what Diablo 3 should have been. However, I've lost intreast playing Dungeon Siege and never finished it. It just didnt live up to a Diablo replacement.
Please tell me Diablo 3 is real:confused:
