Something that I thought would be awesome for D3, Is the ability to see EVERYTHING that your are wearing. Such as the Rings and the Ammy's that in previous D1 and D2 were not visable.
If i managed to obtain a GG ammy or ring, that glowed a bright gold color or silver etc. I would like to be able to see it on my char, and im sure other players would be like "wow! thats awesome! What is it?!"
Not to mention that its easier to keep track of which rings or ammy's your wearing due to their unique colors.
I know this my seem a little silly but who doesnt like a little "bling bling."
Also, the gems that you obtain-
The gems when inserted into helms armors weps etc. Only turn that item that color!
NO! I dont like that....
Instead you should be able to "see" the gems in the armor, helm, wep, etc.
Rather than changing the items color, you should see the gems in the item.
I know this may seem complex, but would bring a hole new meaning to "Godly"

Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster and if you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes into you.
You guys are blowing it out of proportion!
I say bling you think omg Shiny dude running around looking retarded.
Geez, think how it looks first before flaming.
It doesnt need to glow so bright that it takes your eyes off of everything else
When I mean you see the gems, i mean you see golf ball size gems with good graphical features in places like the shoulder armor peices, or one in the center!
Being ab le to phisically place the gems would be great!
The rings and ammys --- Seeing them on the hands and around the necks is what i ment.
Not a barb looking like puff daddy.....good grief its called imagination...get one?
Instead of immediatly thinking of the negatives...think of how YOU would see it in a POSITIVE scenario....
~~Imagination~~ Im basically saying that a more graphical character would be great, compared to the yellow armored barb with a yellow helm blah blah.
Complete customization of weapons and armors is what im trying to emphasize.
Cheers

 lol omg I give up. I geuss im thinking way to far out of the box.
but hey I have ideas just like everyone else.
 wait a sec, another idea is coming in.
nope that would prolly get flamed to...
 I can only hope someone can see what i see pertaining to this topic.
Think of the most bad ass barb armor, spikes, colors, blood stains...
little red spec in the center of the armor (Ruby).
!!! An Idea !!!
You know how when you put a gem or skull in a socket right?
And you cannot take that gem or skull out....
The idea i thought of is - - If you choose to take out a gem or skull (out of armor/wep etc.) Then upon removal of the gem/skull it should be destroyed. AND it should cost some gold to have it removed?!
Just another idea...
What ya think?

Incase you havent noticed, in the gameplay video, the guy playing the game zoomed in on his character (mouse scroll wheel most likely). When in a far away distance, like during a fight (default) then you probly shouldnt be able to see the rings or ammys..
But when you zoom in on the character, or if other players look at you zoomed in, THEN it should show *in proportion to actual size* the rings ammys, and gems....or whatever is relatively small.
Sounds good to me..

Well, if you're running around sporting full plate, it would be kinda tough to see rings and ammys, especially as you would likely have them inside the armour, as ammys would get in the way, and if the rings were properly sized to wear on top of armour, what happens when you put on leather gloves?
While I would like to see things like the gloves/boots and maybe even belt, I don't really care about rings/ammys.
And for the gems part, I like that they change the entire helm/sword/whatever.It's neat to have a blue sword or a green bone helm. However, I wish the colors would blend a bit if you had multiple gems instead of being covered by the first gem's color.
Im just suggesting introcut little nic nacks...I love the sophistication of armors and clothings.
I geuss im obsessed with detailed characters, you know...realism.
It doesnt matter about the rings and such, all i was proposing was extreme detail.
designs on armors, becoming three demensional, having actual texture.
same goes for helms and other articles of armor.
Dont limit your thoughts to "previous" diablo game graphics and or colors.
Blizzard is going to do a good job, that i have no doubt about.
All im looking for is realism- - -A Barabarian, boasting a 5 foot axe, with a unique design carved into the axe, the barb also wearing an armor more huge than any human could ever wield, also covered in designs that make this armor unique, the armor rimmed with silver curved strips due to the diamond in the center of the armor.
The armor black as the void because of the skulls mounted at each shoulder.
Its all about imagination, and everyone knows that Blizzard is looking for ideas to implement into D3.
I am going to seek out the armors and weapons that SCREAM godlike.
When looked at by others, fear strikes them, with shock and awe....
Thats another thing that im hopeful about, is that the uniqueness of weapons and armors in D3 are so vast, that very rarely there are 2 or 3 people that will ever look alike....
Variety is what im hoping for...a truely customized charachter that no one can copy....easily...
woops, sorry i got off on a tangeant....anyway.

Yes, and we can all dress like Flavor Flay and look like restarted idiots with a big ass helmet with horns, huge clock for an amulet and all that crap.

Nothing wrong with a good tangent.
This is part of why I'd like to see randomized rares as the best equipment instead of uniques as it currently is in D2. Uniques are the least unique equipment available and yet they tend to be the strongest stuff available so everyone uses them. It doesn't hurt single player in the slightest so it doesn't really effect me much, but I think it makes a big difference for multiplayer.

If you don't like his idea, just say so. There's no need to be rude.
Maybe the OP is black and he want some bling bling in the game. Maybe they should add another slot for a grill. So when you see your character in the menu screen their mouth will bling.
Above all that little comment sounds racist, you profile race that way, your bound to get flamed dude. Black, white, asian, w/e you should never bring race into the subject UNLESS they make a game where you can select color of skin.
If it makes any difference to you, I am white.

I can definitely picture what you're saying Shifter.
Crowns lined with gems at the top like Old World European kings.
Armors with intricate, ancient and medieval designs drawn out with a connect-the-dots like format of jewels.
Boots encrusted along the top brim, where you put your foot in.
Instead of a bunch of enormous accessories, a gleam of said jewels color now and again.
An infrared consistency (hold your average digital alarm clock to a surface and see what the red looks like, in the dark) on dungeon floors from light passing through your boots jewelry.
I imagine this would take very complex scripting and tedious, meticulous work, but it would be sexy as hell.
In fact, in the time and age you expect Sanctuary to take place, at least if you compared it with Earth's history, men moreso, but women still, wore jewelry a lot.
I think having some gems show on armor and other items rather than 10 necklaces and rings like back in the medieval ages isn't an unreasonable wish.
Those disagreeing with Shifter are disagreeing with what they're imagining, not what Shifter is.
Of course no one wants enormous jewels and shit.
Try being more open to entertaining a thought from multiple perspectives, sometimes not your own.
You'll find yourself coming up with a lot of great ideas that a lot of people can appreciate.

I'm not racist. Being racist means you think your race is better than another race. I just made a joke of a stereotype. Calm down.
No different than saying all Koreans are good at Starcraft.
i like the idea about the gems but not the rings and ammy. first off you wouldnt be able to see it because it would be under armour and too much of the glowing effect is not good.
as for the gems it would have to be extremely subtle

if ur going to use colours for the first two then use yellow for the last one
It is kind of pointless to have the ammys and rings shown. Cuz the only time you will really be able to see it is if your not wearing gloves and body armor even then they would be small unless they gave off the shine like the axes did in the gameplay video.

My life is like a dragon, first praised, then hated, now lost.
I see that many of you would agree on the rings and ammy aspect.
Now that I think about it, you all have good points.
The rings and ammy wouldnt be visable when wearing armor.
Something I thought of earlier, was when wearing a certian ring or ammy, with gloves or armors, that the rings and ammy would have some type of visual effect on them. Color or enhanced features.
Example: Wearing this green colored ring, with blue gloves/gauntlets, will change it to purple. OR the ring will simply add a couple spikes to the gloves + defence rating.
Same goes with armors, an ammy will add spikes or extra plates, or w/e.
Just some ideas... Cheers!
