Of course they wanna spend time knowing what we want so that they can make it for us so that we give them money for it......
Anyone selling or inventing anything does this, Blizz is just smarter and takes it way further, hence we the fans take our loyalty and checkbooks further. Basic math/cause & effect.
Nope, Blizz doesn't rush WoW. I have one buddy who plays WoW; when WotLK came out he completed most of it in about 20 hours.
If you (WORKED HARD TO) pay monthly to play Diablo II and completed 95% of what LoD had to offer in 20 hours, how long would you pay money to play a game with nothing left to offer?

Because WoW players won't tolerate Blizz's bullshit when they're making monthly payments and they'll move on to another game instead of waiting, meanwhile us Diablo players get demonic dick in the ass since they aren't making money off of us. I don't care how much you love the game, a business is a business and you're profit, so remember this for the next time you go to say "Blizz 'cares' about their fans" and correct yourself, "Blizz 'customer services' their fans." What better way to make us loyal than to make us feel good and involve our emotions in the product? Business 101, if you're sellin' somethin' involvin' the customer/client's emotions, you will succeed. -

Nov 20, 2008USNSEALs posted a message on Blizzcast #6 - Diablo III Senior Artist & New Monster ArtActually, the game Neverwinter Nights has a mod built by a few guys, their own server, it took them 6 years to make the world, called Path of Ascension, and the ultimate bows in their world have unlimited ammo - how it happens is, the ancient power within them summons arrows via magic. I think if Neverwinter Nights can do it, Diablo III damn well better.Posted in: News

Oct 13, 2008USNSEALs posted a message on Character Stat AssigningWell, I think the point of it is - a Wizard should be a Wizard.Posted in: News
In Diablo II it would've been a Wizard nuking the shit out of you, and tanking damage like a Barb at the same time.
If anything, this would help keep focus on the story.
What Wizard has the vigor of a Barbarian?
That's one of the things that made Diablo II not set itself apart from other games.
It really makes you play your character like it should be played.
Furthermore, every single person, if they haven't said they are for, have not said they are not for realism.
I don't know about you guys and gals, but I didn't get to pump any stats into the Huge Muscles category for my birthday. -

In Diablo II, if you took the time to really enjoy every detail, playing it the second time around, there was a feel of 'I know what to do next. I remember this guy was here, I know I have to do this to get to this.' It didn't even take 3 or 4 completions.
How is Diablo III going to improve upon that if at all?
Pertaining to that, Diablo II didn't have much storyline or that feeling you get when you read a book; it had cinematics between Acts, but maybe a few minutes, as compared to the roughly 5 hours of gameplay.
How will Diablo III be more immersed in the story, the feeling of being in an entirely other world and learning that world every minute, as opposed to fighting monsters for a quest with a short story you received from an NPC and a cinematic between Acts? -

I didn't know it was Barb 'til I clicked on it for a bigger view. -

Aug 7, 2008USNSEALs posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsAn entire company is not going to change a damn thing for one Mr. The New Asshole.Posted in: News
He may provide suggestions, such as anyone else on the team, and they'll be democratically considered.
The difference is I doubt he'll slam his keyboard and start a petition when he's disagreed with.
That's the thick line between professional and non.
Most importantly, Art Directors direct. They lead, supervise, organize, structurize, junction communication and ensure function. Art Developers develop.
Directors make sure developers have the resources they need and that they're unhindered in their goals. Basically, they're mentors. It's up to the children. -
Aug 7, 2008USNSEALs posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsI'd say it's hope so the petitioners be quiet.Posted in: News
They've already said nothing is going to change and yet still petitioners continue.
I think they've grown tired and weary of responding when they've already written it in stone.
Giving petitioners hope means no more complaints will arise and so they won't have anything to respond to, therefore not having a seperate attack of "They don't listen to the 'fans.'"
Whatever the reason is, if this is true, it definitely is not about changing the art.
These announcements and updates are given by representatives, not the decision makers.
Every boss has a boss, and the top dogs have made their decision.
You don't make an official statement to millions and then regress on a whim.
A refute to my reasoning of the hiring being false most likely and sensibly would be 'Right, so they post an ad to hire when they're not hiring.'
To this I say - who says they won't find every applicant 'undesirable' for their needs?
They don't need to write an official statement to why they don't want to hire you.
Translation: this isn't a question of possibility, but probability. -
Aug 5, 2008USNSEALs posted a message on MTV - Necromancer May Return, Diablo 3 Expansion Confirmed?PvP trapping was way too fun.Posted in: News
I used to use a laptop for any char, challenge a duel, just run around and on my main PC have hella traps and those hard striking attacks - catch them by surprise.
On topic, I never liked the Necro's look. He looks like an uglier Keanu Reeves aged 70.
I played him after I got 99 on all the other chars and collected the top gear with the perfect stats and it was some refreshing and interesting fun, a different angle to play the game from, but definitely not a stark raving mad first choice.
I don't have a favorite character. They all had their perspectives of great fun, a different approach.
I did find it fun beating the shit out of people with him on Open though, especially the Paladins with the quick three strike ability. Necro was a madman on Open. -

I'm very curious why you would wait 8 years for a NEW game only to want what you've been playing. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Thank you all for the support, and thank you for the link, Venom.
I would like to play on B.Net but I suppose everyone isn't interested in startin' over with me?

I killed Andariel in about 25 hits, didn't have to use even one potion, lost half my HP.

Thank you very much for the Imbue advice, sounds great. I kept the same Mercenary as well and gave her some decent items, she's killin' most things in 1 hit so when I reach a tough monster, I kill all the weak ones so my attacks aren't disturbed/caused to miss, especially since my merc, Annor, is kickin' ass from the rear. I think I'll do okay against Andariel, I remember readin' somewhere she does a lot of poison so I'm preparing for that. I attack rather quickly too so I'm hoping not too many monsters are around or Andariel is slow enough for me to take them out first.
I will definitely post all questions here. I hope the thread won't lose relevance or be closed due to insignificance. Also, please feel free to give advice that I'm not yet knowledgable enough to ask questions about. The only thing I am not interested in is build advice. I like to be my own player so that if my build/decision-making is a success or a failure, it is MY success or failure.
Thank you!
OK, I just thought of something... a normal socketed item, Imbueable?

Anyway, I'm in the Jail in Act 1 (I started playin' last night, I'm on my 6th hour of gameplay. [I like to go EVERYWHERE and read EVERYTHING and find EVERYTHING possible, so I'm slower, but I prefer patient.] lol)
I got the quest for Charsi to Imbue one of my items, I'm a sword Barb; I wanted to know if anyone could inform me what the best sword is to get to Imbue, and where. I also was curious if the sword has to be normal, magic, rare, etc. Somethin' told me it was a smart idea to be patient and come ask than waste her Imbue on a crappy sword. Also, I was wondering if it's a better idea to Imbue another item, and which kind? (Weapon, Armor? etc. or if it's just a matter of personal preference?)
Also, I was curious if anyone could explain Attack Rating, Strength, Dexterity, and all of those numbers/features/components, however it would be worded, or if someone can tell me a good place to find those answers?
I greatly appreciate any advice/help. Thank you!

What is the best to buy (I.E. a combination pack or somethin'?), and where for the cheapest, considerin' Diablo III will be out soon enough? [Keep in mind I've never played so I won't get too far by the time DIII comes out.]

and yes, i guarantee i will be the guy who raises the questions, 'this guy been livin under a rock? d3 been out forever' it would be nice to play all the time tho, especially since me and the wife smoke bud together, i couldnt imagine a game like d3 high as hell, especially since ive never played d1 or d2
but i pretty much only work so i suppose if the game compels me that greatly we might end up playin all the time and maybe take breaks to go back to bein outdoorsy every couple weeks or so lol
AA3? is that a patch or somethin? i dont even remember hearin about AA2, but i played patch 2.x so if it goes by patch then ive played AA2, id like to know whats new with 3, hopefully a lot of new goodies

lol, now that i rereard your post it makes sense, id call gaming my kill-time.
i dont see myself playin d3 too much, maybe a few hours per week. im too outdoorsy.
from the looks of the site it seems like a few hours per week will take me a long time to get anywhere.
ive only ever played BF42, CStrike, America's Army, CoD, MoH and Frozen Throne, used to play ladder on Asia now btanks, bships and DotA so d3 will definitely be new to me
