If blizzard was in fact ready to announce diablo 3 at late 2007 then by going to what they said they try to release games 1 year after there announced then we could expect to see diablo 3 in stores around Christmas time to around May so if im correct we should see a realease date late october
What evidence do you have to support the theory that Blizz was ready to announce the game in late 2007? Just wanna make sure we are working off facts and not speculation here.
You do realize that late October is about 4 months away.
Blizzard still hasn't released any information regarding the other 3 classes.
Blizzard still hasn't released any information regarding the other acts/lore.
Blizzard still hasn't begun public/private alpha/beta testing.
Blizzard still hasn't implemented balance and technical issues from the alpha/beta testing.
4 months to do all of that?
My guess is, either release date on June 28/29th 2009, as an anniversary commemoration to the Diablo franchise.
Or a release in the 4th Quarter of 2009, as logically higher sale figures come out of that quarter.

If you look at the screenshots most are dated 2007 meaning they have been working on it therefore + blizz even stated theve been working on it for 4 years but scraped it after 1 year so they redid it so they have been working on for 3 years now so they must have alot done

My guess is, either release date on June 28/29th 2009, as a 10 year anniversary commemoration to the Diablo franchise.

why would they release all the info about the game and at 2010 it will be 9 years because LOD was released 2001 so for a 10 year anniversary it would be 2011
I don't think u understood me i say we will have info about release in October because 3 years is how long they have been working on this version of d3 and wow beta testing is going to take so much longer time then d3 because its ALOT bigger then diablo is.

Having screenshots dating back to 2007 does not mean that it was ready for an announcement. Also, like insats said, they are still hiring quite a few developers for the game still.
Or how about take a look at SC2's development, as we have more information on that. Blizzard started developing SC2 in 2003, after WC3:TFT was announced. SC2 was announced in May 2007. With 4 years of development, and your logic, shouldn't SC2 have been released last Christmas? Yet, we are most likely seeing a SC2 release date, the earliest of Q4 2008.
theyve been working on the game for some time, but then just let it sit for awhile without ever touching it because they didnt know what to do with the project and had resorurces spent on wow.
theres to different teams between wow and diablo they dont both work on the same game
True but the people who lead game development in certain directions were unsure what to do with diablo for a period of time and also were busy with wow before a large enough team was developed.
My friend worked on wow and is now working on diablo 3 btw so youre idea of different teams isnt completely true. They have seperate teams but many of the people involved with wow are now part of the diablo team.

I love how when a game gets announced everyone has a inside source to blizz

Good for him, did they work for blizzard?
