if it uses mana, i will start playing with it... just joking... but seriously... the WD looked really nice in ther first barbarian/wd gameplay... but if you watch the gameplay with the 4 chars together, i dare u to follow the WD in the screen, he just has no presence on the screen, the movie gives u the feeling that the WD does nothing compared specially to the Monk (guess why???) and the Wizard! his collors, almost skin colors and brown/ligh brown also his loot is just so less agressive than the others!
Blizzard keep saying that when they do a new char, with awesome spells, the just go back to the other chars, and refine them!! WELL DO IT WITH THE WD THEN!!!! cause i cant see any improvement in this char so far! and i really would like to see him as good as the others!!
I hate the Paladin. And the Barbarian. And the Amazon. And the Warrior. Mage, Sorceress, and Wizard are where it's at. The rest shouldn't be in the game. I don't like their concept. Of course, I have to use the damn Pally for ubering... *sigh* Silly Blizzard.
Witch Doctor? I don't really like him, but if other people enjoy playing him, who am I, who are any of us, to say he shouldn't be in the game? The lore is rich and solid as far as the game is concerned with any character, past, present, or future, and the skills really aren't that ridiculous if you think about it. I mean, come on, flying hammers? What the fuck?
It's funny how people when being 'pressured' a bit, just feel they have to say blizz is great and all.
Is that some kind of reflex action?
Anyway Katafractos, you completely failed to see the point of that evil guy's (Magistrate) post.
You can say a char is unappealing to you, that is definitely your right.
But useless(even if you added 'for you' there)? How may he be useless when you have not even played him? Or have you been playing D3 all this time and know something that we don't?
You don't like art, concept and style? Perfectly fine.
It's like saying you don't like pizzas because of their shape, color and size. Sounds silly? Well it sounds like your opinion. If you had bothered to actually elaborate instead of playing the drama queen, you would have been more credible.
I dunno about WD's armor he has a chance to look really ridiculous or really badass. Characters like that often end up with tons upon tons of layers of stuffs and sometimes it gets overkill. At the same time, you can't give WD any leather or plate, really.
Why does the witch doctor's pets had to do suicidal bombings?
Obviously there's gonna be builds that makes the attempts more likely unnecessary, there will even be builds completely excluded the needs for any minion's support. Never the last I have to give the development team a thumbs down for this one. For I will make the creatures more efficient so they don't have to bomb their brains out. I just think it's not creative enough if the best way for them to deal damage is to blow themselves up. Did we squeeze them to hard? End up choking horrific things out of the development? I don't think that's entirely true. The team had been bringing in controversial ideas ever since day one. And exploding lings are just the dumbest idea that will forever haunt me. P.S It's not even theme with the character.

I don't think Sacrifice is much a straight forward as that. You're not going to summon zombie dogs, sacrifice them, summon zombie dogs, sacrifice them, over and over. It's a very useful way to get more damage out of them as they approach the end of their life, as we saw in the Siege Breaker boss fight.
Sooner or later your pets are going to get mauled, and what better way to do massive damage to that mod than to blow up into chunks!

Of course you're right, in the logic where zombie dog will mindlessly go after their target,
not surrounding their prey, or strategically retreating the weak ones , unable to take any instructions what so ever. This is what's perfectly wrong with these animals, and there should be a more sophisticated stand for the concept of minions.
It's perfectly fine to implement a sacrificial skill, but what's not fine is that it's the only result for any kind of minion micro. And as general players' interest, the D3 minions function should have a much exploitable system for anyone who wants to build a Summoning-Doc.

Agreed.
The addition of charging your summons with plague or fire is another reason why I'm playing WD first.

I kinda like the whole feathers, bones and mask concept.
Difficult to imagine the guy in a plate mail. :turned:
