I'm just starting Act 3 and I'm somewhat impatient but I'm progressing fairly well. I've only started doing WW barb about a week ago and I hate it, but it's a necessary evil. Sword and Board with my gear just wasn't letting me do anything.
Since I've only just started WW, I feel slightly lost. I sunk about 1.1M into a new Helm/Amulet/Gloves/MH/OH/Pants/Chest and was able to kill Ghom.
I don't really know what to upgrade next - I can farm Act 2 and everything up to and including Ghom.
Any advice on what to upgrade first and why would be greatly appreciated.
1. Rings are pretty bad.
2. Neck is not great either.
3. Could use a fair amount more crit/crit damage.
4. What's with the gem in your OH? +65 LoH? Really? Go with a (good) crit damage gem or LoH if you need it.
Most of your gear is pretty sub-par. Your gloves/neck/rings should be a major source of dps, but they're lacking. Most other items are pretty meh (i.e., 83 str 42 all res boots. Just low rolls). Your weapons are contributing *no* crit damage and they should be your primary source of it. Your OH serves as a stat-stick, but it's not doing a very good job.
As the poster above me has stated your gear is very lacking. You need get about 45% crit to make the spec work. On top of that you need at least your weapons to have crit hit damage AND alot of life per hit. You need to get around 1200 Life on hit between your weapons rings and neck. Your resist are a little low. You want about 750 to 800 all resist. Try and find stuff with double resist. Like All resist and arcane resist. Then another piece with all resist and fire. Then another piece with all resist and poison resist then another piece with all resist and physical resist. this well help get your stats up.
Over all stats should be about
45% Crit.
180%-220% Crit hit damage
40K+ HP
7000-8000 Armor with Enchantress
750-800 All Resist
1200 Life on Hit (Some Life Steal % too if you can afford it)
IF you have stats around this you should be able to do act 3 and 4. with out a lot of problems. Some of the nastier elite packs you will die. Nothing you can do. Even the most geared WW barbs die due to just nasty combos.
Not saying that I'm awesome, there are plenty of better geared barbs out there, but I do well in act III. I still die from time to time, but not too often.
For WW build u really need to invest on ur weapons (axe) first. the rest can wait
LOH( a total of abt 1500) critcal dmg(optional) with a socket is a must for both mh and oh
and also invest in 2 radiant star emerald if u afford them with them u can easily get 300% critical dmg with just ruthless as ur passive ( 100 + 100 + 50 + 50) without having any critical dmg on other items including the weapons own critical dmg.
once u got 2 radiant star u pretty much use it for every char u have... that the upside of getting
Thanks for the advice. I figured I needed new rings/neck/gloves and sold that offhand, but I just wanted to hear it from someone. The statistical breakdown of what I should be working towards is helpful too.
Once I clear Act 3 with WW and move on to Act 4, I'll probably aim to gear towards Sword and Board but that might be a ways away.
How much should I be looking to spend on good gloves? I'd like to get something that will last me a while

The offhand was good, it needed a crit gem instead of that weak LoH gem.
Bracers/rings/amulet/gloves should all have crit on them ideally. You can get away with rings not having crit, but the other big ones need it. You also need to get probably another 100-150 all res on your gear, you should be sitting around 550-600 unbuffed, and extra fire resist for those annoying molten caster mobs.
Good gloves will cost you quite a bit, since the best rolled gloves will have STR/VIT/ALLRES/CRIT/CRITDMG/IAS, but that combo will cost you upwards of 150mil. For the time being, just get STR/VIT/CRIT/ALLRES, which should be pretty easy to manage on a 5mil budget.
Crit chance is really what makes this build work, since that is what gives you more fury to allow you to keep sprinting and whirlwinding. Focus crit chance and all resistance, crit damage comes after
WW barb gear is extremely expensive since it is by far the most efficient build, if you don't have that much gold, you might want to consider going for a different build.

STR VIT AR ias critical chance critcal dmg are the stats and i saw one glove having all of those stats. god damn lucky to hit 6 out of 6 lines.
Anyway for glove 120+ str and 8.0+ chance is a must and the third one is up to u to choice...for me i will go for AR if u can find it in ah
