So, I'm not in beta (/cry), but I decided on being a barb when D3 launches.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a nerd with issues, lots of issues. So I want to be the hell out of stuff, but I don't wanna get my ass handed to me an awful lot either.
Weapon choice-2h. Seems to fit the barbarian bamf style.
Question about the spec with leveling, difficult, etc.
What would be a good choice for a build? I know going full damage skills is suicidal, but like most games I have a hell of a time picking a talent. Would aoe styled attacks be a better focus? What am I missing here?
EDIT: However, I am open to a sword/board spec as well. Just not sure of the playstyle/viability (damage output, defensive capabilities, etc.) that each is capable of.

All damage is not nessesarily bad, it's just much more fast paced, but equally rewarding. I've reposted my 2H build a lot but here it is for your usage should you chose:
Healing: Killing enemy with Frenzy, Critting on WW, Hitting enemies with Revenge and Bloodthirst passive which will stack well with other +% Lifesteal gear.
This is probably one of the highest crit builds that are viable with 2H's, some things can be swapped around, but until I can test it it shall remain.
NOT a crit build, its based on high steady damage whit survival built in.
Cleave for normal attacks/+fury/clean up crapy skeletons
sesmic for single target and long range (takeing out summoners and alike from afar)
leap, +pull in for passive+ww (can use charge aswell, but i like leap)
WW for awesome aoe damage and viable single target dmg aswell.
damage buff whit some bonus crit
health+regen+armor
passives give you more regen, longer time on buffs, some lifesteal( can be switched for weapon master, depends on how it works out) and also more damage the more you are close, meaning you kill faster if you are surrounded and therefor, are less surrounded
this is a 2h build for sure
and lifesteal is good, but bad to rely on 100%, i have allot of health regen as well, while liferegen is more of an assurance
