Loot 2.0 and dynamic mob levels, along with the crafting changes, make the game insanely better, imo. I'm excited to either get beta to see the rest, or buy the expansion and play when it comes out.
No longer do you hope to find something good in a pile of otherwise crap. You have a good chance of actually seeing upgrades drop, and if you have trouble with a slot while leveling, there's usually a craft to fill in for a bit.
I don't know what's worse, a fanatic, or a hater. I think, both are extreme cases, both wrong, both destructive.
For what I've heard, the game suffers from the very same problems it has today, poor itemization and non rewarding loot hunt, time will tell, but, lowering the mob density to it's previous state..? really?... sigh.
If you eliminate the chance of customizing your character though a skill build (D2, PoE, every other single ARPG out there) then the itemization must be phenomenal, it has to be, otherwise, the game gets incredibly boring incredibly fast.
I believe, that the idea of giving us no choice of how skills work, was to make a viable revenue through the RMAH, I can't honestly think of anything else. Now, with the AH gone, give us more options, let us level/alter/enhance the skills without needing a goddamn item, let us spend our points whatever we want, let us actually build something, that is the most amazing part of an ARPG, to build characters.

Now that the AH is gone, I think the Paragon point system is Blizzard's attempt at addressing this issue. Is this a sufficient system for creating build diversity? I don't think so, I just see most people maxing out stats like CC. Leading up to the beta/PTR I had really been hoping to see the new point system used to alter/enhance skills, not just stats, but they didn't go that direction.
To answer OP's question, yes I like the game and I still enjoy playing it, though there is always room for improvement. I think the expansion is going to address a lot of the problems that people have with D3, but certainly not all of them. There will always be people that complain, just for the sake of complaining, without offering any alternatives or constructive criticism, and that is the majority of people on the official forums.
I still like the game a lot and played it daily until about 3 weeks ago. All of a sudden I got kinda burned out. I still play, just not nearly as much. That being said I am eagerly awaiting Loot 2.0 and ROS. I'm hungry for some new content!!
The vast majority of the people who post here are Diablo lovers. And Overneathe and the rest of the crew does one hell of a job delivering the news, info, and keeping these forums from degenerating into a cesspool. Almost everyone is helpful and willing to give advice.
That said, there will ALWAYS be negative posts and trolls on almost any forums. Unless they are uber moderated (Think early Elitist Jerks forums, where any non-constructive or off topic post was instant ban hammer!)

I see the line in the sand. Time to find out who I am. Looking back to see where I stand. Evolution.
I certainly do - I hadn't played an awful lot this year, but the RoS announcement got me fired up again. Anyway I got D3 at release, have something like 500 hours played, and have found every one of them entertaining.
Life's way too short to waste it reading and posting to forums for games I don't like!!
You might see me sledging a game I don't like on a general gaming forum or news site, like Massively or mmorpg.com .. but you'll never see me wasting my time going to a forum dedicated to that game to bash it.
I'm one of those long time D2 players that was lukewarm about D3. I have really enjoyed myself on the PTR. From the loot drops to the skills that that have been tweaked. Granted they aren't done yet, I always keep that in mind when confronted with things like....Witch doc feels so weak atm compared to other classes. or finding some gear for my follower shouldn't be this "hard".
So I guess, yes I like the game, and yes I have hopes.
I went through a bit of a dry spell, but have recently reignited my love by playing hardcore for the first time. The fresh start was awesome, with no gold or items. I got my DH straight through to lvl60 playing solo and I'm currently on act 2 Inferno, it's so much more interesting than SC. After playing a lot of SC, the lack of progression was getting a bit dull. I feel that a ladder system would solve most of my issues as now I can just gear any SC character to the point where there the game is no challenge and the loot is inevitably bad. I'm super excited for ROS, I feel the AH was a horrible idea and it ruined the enjoyment of finding loot.
All the loot you find up to lvl60 is completely useless because of the AH, after lvl60 the chances of finding something decent are horrifically low and can be easily matched with 2 minutes work on the AH. Playing self-found is an option but imposing limitations on yourself to enjoy the game doesn't say good things for the games design.
I am aware that it is incredibly difficult to balance all these things so I am being very patient, in expectation of a great final game.
I enjoy the game a ton! However, the current beta is very boring.. and the PTR is even worse
There is no reward for playing, and you feel like you hit a wall almost instantly if you're a good/efficient player
I played for only a few hours, and got all the gear I have been using for the past week... Smart drops is a bad system in my honest opinion. I am forced to play the class in order to upgrade it, making me feel like I am starting the game over completely with every character. I would like to be able to play my WD and find a few items here or there for a different class...
Smart drops+ Mystic espeically, makes the game feel like it's not worth playing. Why bother? You don't have to farm for anything.. every item you find is automatically geared toward you and then it's just about re rolling a certain stat. It is no longer about finding the right properties on items... It's about finding the right number of properties on items
The problem with this title is quite simple:
If you eliminate the chance of customizing your character though a skill build (D2, PoE, every other single ARPG out there) then the itemization must be phenomenal, it has to be, otherwise, the game gets incredibly boring incredibly fast.

I still enjoy the game, although less now that I've tested out the PTR. I want 2.0 to drop WITH high mob density and Ill be back to playing more.
off topic: I'm still a troll and won't be leaving any time soon.
I didn't understand a single word of what you just said.

Why do you put in the same bag negative posts and trolls?.
