i know this is early (since D3 will be out "soon") but i want to ask community
what class do you expect or wish to see in expansion. Do you think Blizzard will
put some old class from D1 or D2 or something completely different ???
I personally would like to see necromancer again since that is my favorite from D2 !
soo lets see what archetype is sort of missing from blizzard games. the druid and necro class is not convincing enough yet, if I d have to guess something its a shape shifting based class that might also have summons.
Since i loved to play with Necromancer i thought that WD would be great to play in D3 but
i like dark and scary look of D2 Necromancer (+great skills) and WD doesn’t have any of that!
As I think, if Blizzard repeats the pattern from Diablo II, they will add 2 new classes in the expansion, probably one return and a completely new one. In the other side, I think I read some time ago that they were planning to have 2 or 3 expansions, in that case I think that it will be one class per expansion.
What class I'd love to see? I liked Druid, it is also the only class who has no parallel, Necro is a bit like WD, sorceress like Wizard and Demon Hunter like amazon + assassin...maybe Paladin could come back, I don't love it, though.
I would love to have a return of the necromancer or a similar class that is mostly focused on summoning, like a warlock or something. The only reason I don't see that happening is because of the Witch Doctor class which, in my opinion, is just a more tribal take on a necromancer/warlock archtype. The classes that I'm almost convinced are going to be added are some sort a shapeshifter (Angel/Demon please) and the fearsome, ruthless, silencing Archivist *gasp*
I have a strong feeling they will do the one thing everyone expects them to do, reintroduce an old hero from D2. The Necro and Amazon being the two most likely seeing as there hometowns are in Diablo 3.
i would like for them to add a nature type class the witchdoctor doesnt really count the class would use plants/poisons maybe even use animals to fight i think it would be a neat class

You mean the Druid from D2? which you just described perfectly.
I don't see them bringing an old class back (aside from the Barbarian obviously). If they did though, my guess would be the Druid; as it's shapeshifting abilities are the only skillset not represented from Diablo 2.
That being said, I think the new class will have some for of shifting skillset. What that would be enhanced by though, I have no idea right now. Blizzard has a pretty wide variety of skills already in the game.

The necromancer could come back someday, but the amazon is a definite no. It's a female-only name, and its skills are mostly taken over by the monk and demon hunter.
Yes and No, the Amazon had lots of different Talents, Bows, Spears, and Javalins and who is to say she didn't learn something new in the past 20 years. The Male version could be a Spartan type class and comeon who doesn't want to play a Spartan type class...hell they even have "the 300th spear" as a legendary. The Amazon was not described as a female only race she belong to a group of nomads from plains near the South Sea.
One of the reasons why I started this post is because I am 99% sure they will bring back class from previous games… By doing that they will be doing a favor for old players and give chance to new ones to see some more old content from Diablo franchise and get them even more involved in game.
no way we are gona see amazon i think
tho druid is quite possible
would like to see the brend new class tbh and since we are gona have few expansions we are probably gona have 1 each expansion
This is tough. D3 already has 2 melee classes, and 2 ranged classes. The witch doctor is the only class that handles the summons. I doubt they will repeat any old classes, but their is chance the Druid or Necro might get a come back. I myself would prefer a new summon class to balance out the WD
I remember seeing a mentioning of a title known as "Beast Master" and I really think that one of the next expansion classes could be that or something extremely similar. I would assume it would be something along the lines of a Druid with the ability to summon creatures, transform into different forms (werebear, werewolf, were....something else?) and have the power to control nature. I think this would be a great complimentary class to add to what is there now. Does anyone agree? Also do you guys think we'll get two characters with the next expansion or just one?

All skills the amazon had, except the Spear/javelin tree, are in other classes now. The name Amazon is female-only. I don't deny the possibility of throwing weapons coming back along with a class specializing in them.
Are you pulling Amazing only being a female race from Blizzard or in general? the one in D2 was called an Amazon because she was tall and pretty.
Not saying we will see the Amazon from D2, she is probably the leader by now, but we will see another form of the South Sea's warrior, like I said a Spartan/Amazon looking race from Island City where the Amazon is currently residing.
There are plenty of ways to expand even beyond Assasin, Necro, Druid and Amazon. I'd love to see an Alchemyst or an Engineer. They might even introduce some sort of Demon/Beast Tamer
For some reason I can't edit my post, The Amazon 20 years ago were a woman warrior race, not women only, alot has changed in 20 years..who knows what Blizzard has planned.
I personally would love a Spear/axe throwing Spartan/Trojan/Amazon character
I doubt blizzard will do a shapeshifting class given all the complaints druids in WoW make about not seeing their hard earned gear. Unless they've come up with some sort of solution to that that doesn't involve creating gear models for every single form.
I think the next class if there is one will be a melee class since right now there are 3 ranged classes and only two melee. Personally I think it will be something like an enhancement shaman. Someone that uses the elements, but does so while up in your face while beating on you with sharp pointy things.
My vote is with the druid class! So far no shape-shift which was very fun in d2 imo, and so far like others have said no control over the winds and earth. As for fire, well the wizard has some fire spells. I also believe I read somewhere that the witch doctor is d3s version of the necro.
