I'll tally the data and test for significance of each variable & variable combinations. Then I'll do some probabilities to figure out the optimal game/system profile to get an invite. I'll wait for at least 50 posts with at least 10 beta testers.
For some people this may be useful--Maybe they should submit their old comp specs to Blizzard. Maybe they should turn off their overclock...maybe they should overclock further...Maybe they should dig up their old Diablo II CD-Key that they own...Maybe they should start posting more...Maybe they should re-sub to WoW?!
etc.

Uh, a lot of that stuff you want listed doesn't matter for beta.
Or so we think (unless you work for Blizzard and created the algo)!
The point of significance testing is to test every possibility. More information never hurts. While too little information...
I doubt you will be able to find out anything useful. They may invite users with a certain system one day and then change it the next. All depending on what they want to focus testing. Gathering statistics like this with such a small sample size as whoever gets invited here won't do any good. It's not like there's a specific miracle part "Have 8GB of Corsair DDR3 together with ASROCK motherboard" that gains you entrance to the beta.
I'd just suggest you don't bother too much about it.
If you don't want to submit your info... don't. Stop bashing someone for attempting to be productive, meanwhile you cry over the same shit... every, SINGLE, DAY.
Blizzard employees have said that it is not completely random.
If it was, why would they even ask for your system information!! lol...
As I said on the bnet forums--there is a non-random component, and this will find out what that is.
Because they want variation. What if they don't ask anything and 95% of their randomly chosen beta testers all had $800+ PC builds running Windows 7 64bit. Exactly what would be the point of such a test?
They make sure invites are spread out across people with different builds, OS, internet speed and so on, and out of all the categories they choose _randomly_.
If you don't want to submit your info... don't. Stop bashing someone for attempting to be productive, meanwhile you cry over the same shit... every, SINGLE, DAY.
Don't have to go so aggresive.. Fact still remains that 1. I have yet to even see one person here who got in via opt-in. 2. Even if you gather 1000 and collect all the data it may still be worthless if Blizzard decides that they wanna test something else next.
It's just not worth it. Just upload whatever system info you have and pray to the Diablo gods of randomness.
There just not enough public data for anyone to begin to speculate on how the algorithm is picking people. However, I'll fill this out if I ever get an invite.

Wow anthology, diablo, warcraft, and sc2 on my account, no beta invite =)
Cool so you still haven't submit your specs... Is there a point to even responding?
Are you in the beta? If you want anything remotely useful you'd want the stats of those already invited. I have not so I won't post anything. Just posting everyone who opted in's system info is even more pointless.

Sorry for the harshness.. but meh.
It says 50 submissions, 10 of which being accepted to the beta.
Edit - 50Total - 10Beta Accepted = 40Beta Denied. (yes simple, kindeygarden rerestatus math) If you were denied beta access thus far, you are still part of the study... I really think you just want to piss in this guy's cheerios instead of being productive.
Here I found the quote "I'll wait for at least 50 posts with at least 10 beta testers."

I'm just telling you what I think.. What I'm saying is that while this small study may make you feel like more "secure" with your system specs it still is just a drop in a very big sea.
But I'll help out. Sure thing, doesn't really hurt me to do :

Everyone is having a bad few days, and everyone is short on temper. But we're all in the same boat, and we all want the same things. It's pointless to take out our anger on each other.
That being said, I really don't think there is anything to be gained by doing this, other than taking your mind off of things for a while. I'm not saying not to do it, I'm just saying *I* would consider it a substantial waste of *my* time.

It's cool, this actually perked my interest because I'm taking statistics for the 2nd time and I hate... beyond belief. So I find this post interesting none the less, and no one wanted to contribute, and rather bash the idea. If you don't want to contribute to his/her idea that's fine, but there's no need to belittle others.
