F&F and closed beta are the same thing content-wise (meaning up to Skeleton King) and NDA-wise (meaning there isn't one), although we may be patching in some content as we go
Look at that last bit he says. That makes me pretty excited; I was hoping the beta would include a bit more (for both their benefit/bug-fixing and of course our fun/bug-testing). It just may be so...
Edit: And in keeping sheer numbers of people it may be important to add more content. Only 13 levels means people will probably quit quickly.
My guess is more "random" bosses if you will. I dont think we will see more of the story at all.
Hmm you think? Well either way still pretty cool!
Indeed. I mean I'd love more of the "game" but I just dont think that would be the case you know?
edit: to address your edit... theres no need for them to "want to keep people" Getting new people helps them test on more computers..and if they need a bunch at once they can just mass invite a bunch at once.

I should also mention that they already said they would patch in AH and so forth... but the way he says we 'may be patching in more content' sounds like its stuff they haven't said they would (ie more act 1 or more random bosses or pvp).
Well if people stop playing then they need to invite more, possibly find more bugs. You'll get the game everntually theres no need to test more than a little bit of it.

Frankly aside from doing a stress test on the servers(which they aren't doing yet or everyone who opted into beta would get in), there's no point in them having a beta at all(the only content they are letting people access, is the same content that would've been heavily beta tested ages ago internally).
I would bet my life these fake betas are being held to waste time, because they don't want to release it until the new year(blizzard hates competing with all the other xmas season releases).
I just hope act 2, 3, and ect don't end up having major bugs.

So you're implying that Blizzard intentionally put bugs into their game to occupy testers only for the purpose of delaying the game, and that they have a clean, bug-less version ready to be shipped?

No, what I'm saying is, for every bug they "supposedly" missed in this early content, there's atleast a dozen more later on(and all the major bugs will be in the later content).
I actually hope they don't give us more content. Anything more than this i guess will be spoiling the actual game. I would love to see some beta pvp tho or something to do when we reach level 13.
And Like I said... I mean I would think the'd like to mass test the match making system... -shrugs-

Someone in another thread brought up the point that since this content area up to Skeleton King was specifically assigned to public beta testing, that means the in-house testers skipped past it and went on to bug test the later content. I seriously doubt the later content will be bug-ridden.

Hm ok, I guess that could be a posibilty.
