Problem is all the barb brings is 25% DR and pulling(which is unneeded if you have a DH and Monk) and it brings 25% falter dmg debuff. DH brings Pulling, 25% reduction buff, 25% reduction debuff, 15% crit, 30% multiplicative dmg buff, 2 20% dmg debuffs, and taunts(using thorns gem).
Sure its viable, but without globes being a thing barb has lost so much value and since IP was cut in half and monster dmg over GR 70 was nerf you really just don't need it when thats all a class brings.
Ok, so I will be forced to caldesann another class beside barb, and that brings me so much despair... Not to mention learning how to play with WD or DH or monk first. Damn lol.

DH and WD are basically required for 4 man and 3 man will probably use WD or DH or maybe both and no monk.
Okay, but what build should I go for as a supporter then ?
The best answer is: stay flexible. You never know what the final meta is going to be, as has been said a million times over and over again.
If you want a definitive "do that" answer (which is nothing else than an educated guess, no one KNOWS EXACTLY what the meta is going to be, Blizzard could still twist numbers or some secret build could emerge), go for WD. Support WD has an insane damage boost and is "most likely" part of a group in 2.4.1. The build is somewhat similar to S5, so just look up S5 support WD builds.
But really, most importantly if you care about the meta is to stay flexible. Since support classes are ridiculously easy to gear up (you don't need crazy gem levels, crazy gear, high paragon, and not even Caldessan's) I actually always try to have multiple of them set up, as it ensures that you'll always find a group. And if your friends do the same, you can switch so everyone gets a different view of the meta (which helps a lot to understand what to do and what not to do, and makes it less boring at times).
@Enslaved2184: Not sure what you mean, you don't have to augment anything as support. It's a nice-to-have, but there are many support players on GR110+ without any augments.
Looks like Monk is left out right now. Though remember it's still early but my guess is Barb will find it's way into the Meta.
If you go Barb then to want to go WW Pull Barb
No reason to bring a 25% dr buff and 25% dmg done debuff and warcry 20% armor + rune(probably armor or dodge) and the ability to run out and pull(esp with a dh) over monk.
Monk:
20% dr debuff.
40% dr debuff.
55% dr buff(while inside it).
30% dmg to mobs in inner sanc.
20% all res + rune(probably 35% dodge)
Kinda hard to say in any way, shape, or form barb is better than monk.
Same reason barb isn't used in 2s but monk is on live. Monk is better even though barbs produce more globes for current season and barb had 50% DR then not 25%.
I'd start with both monk and barb. Survival/function first. If it's too much, dps can sub out esoteric for BoP, a multiplicative ~38% vs elites for most of rift.
But, that's just me. Dead or fleeing dps does no dps. Dps is much more likely to die in transit without barb. Excessive deaths are also no fun.
DH and WD are basically required for 4 man and 3 man will probably use WD or DH or maybe both and no monk.

Do you think sup WD will be 2 man viable as well ? I think my brother is going wiz he wants sader but I told him sader/wd or sader/dh ( I am not sure DH or WD on which way I will go next season )

Wiz+WD might be viable, but it might become really annoying because you'l lack a lot of survivability. Can it work? Maybe, it'll be the damage choice for sure. DH might offer a bit more survivability than WD, but I'm not that much into DH, just remember from theorycrafting this season. Either way, DH/wiz/WD support is the "glass canon" way. Monk/barb is the survivability boost with mediocre (monk) or small (barb) DPS boost. Everything's viable, it just depends for what. You might have to stay a few GRs lower for farming or do a lot of fishing (or just acknowledge that you won't finish every rift).
The DH is enough DR seeing as Wiz are going to solo 105+ this season. Literally pure dmg addition and good APD managment will allow Wiz/WD/Dh 3s to see 110-113. With monk addition I can see 117+.
Obvisouly this is all like 2500+ paragon and 110+ gems and cubing 95+ gems on gear type of pushing. Few weeks into season we will prob see like 10-15 lower than that but still is gonna happen sooner or later.

I see, but with realistic number of paragons ( around 1k as I'm now), without caldesann you cant go 110 ever.

1) 110+ will require much much less damage reduction due to the GR71+ damage "nerf" in 2.4.1.
2) I don't get it. There is no paragon requirement (or number of augments) required to get into a GR110 support group. Some of the banned streamers got new accounts and are farming GR105-110 with sub-1000 paragon and no augments. The reason why Average Joe does not get into GR110 groups with "only 1k paragon" is not because the missing paragon means you don't have enough toughness. Paragon serves more as a measure for how experienced a player is - that's the main reason why those top players prefer to play with supports that have a high paragon.
currently the mets is unknown due to the simple fact that not many people have been pushing the limits this PTR. The changes between seasons 5&6 are minor in comparison to the changes from season 4 to 5.
As pointed out in a few replies the dmg output from mobs in GR71+ is significantly reduced and therefore I don't believe a 3supports comp will be the meta.
i predict the following group comp:
Archon wizard
support monk
frenzy Lon thorns barb for party buff/rebuff and for the huge single target dmg they bring for the elite packs and RGs

LoN thorns barb isn't better than R6/IK4 most likely anyway. You don't actually want to kill elites asap anyway because you need to keep one alive at all times for the 2k for Wiz.
Support WD and DH are literally required. WD brings the most dmg buffs, DH brings 2nd most dmg and 2nd most DR as well. Monk brings the most DR and the 3rd most dmg buff, barb brings the worst damage buff worst DR(ignoring WD cuz it really doesn't bring shit besides damage).
Though as the Meta has always been ever changing outside S5 because of globe requirement it can change thats for sure. There just is so small of a chance that DH/WD/Wiz aren't in every comp. Last spot up in the air, but a support monk is looking very strong to bring just enough DR and a little dmg buff and to get everything in good Area Dmg proc range.

Not sure if you've seen the single target output of LoN thorns but at 10 attacks a second (only half apply the thorns) is hitting for 600+billion a hit during physical CoE after about 15-20 seconds of stricken stacking.
it is hands down the highest single target dps output in the game

I would be glad to test this, if anyone need under leveled raekor globe barb in their 110 + group.
