Wow, DarknessAngel I got so confused at reading your post lol...But you do make some points. What I mean is that in D3 there should be teleport instead of blink because tele is kind of a staple in the series and when I think of using blink, I think of 'blink' (or small teleport) a few yards and then walk for a while, then 'blink' again when the cooldown is up (yes..I play WoW), whereas the teleport I know and love is, with higher level sorcs, click -> teleport half screen, rinse, repeat...I enjoyed that. Also, i'm open to change...i'm apparently one of the few who don't find a problem with the art direction with the game...The art direction was the last thing I noticed when I first saw the gameplay trailer and cleaned up the shat in my pants.:offtopic:
Act 3 was the entire reason Enigma was created. What a terrible, terrible act.
If there is not an Act 3 in D3 then I'd be fine without teleport. If there is, then please, keep teleport the way it was and give it to everyone for the entirety of the act.

That would defeat the point of it- Teleport is meant to add speed to the lightning sorceress because speed is the base of lightning magic. The problem that happened is that it was put on Enigma, so that any character could use it.
Before, the sorceress could teleport places, but in hell would have to do so and then have people come in and help because of immunes. With the introduction of Infinity that was largely ruined, but I feel that Infinity is justified because of taking teleport away from the sorceress and giving it to paladins, who just spam hammers (which only one monster is immune to in the whole game.)
So basically, if they just got rid of those two rune words, problems like this would be gone.
I played diablo 2 for a long time, and LoD for awhile but I guess I missed some later patches. I never really had a problem with the sorceress being able to teleport. I played an amazon is my main and I never really had a problem with it pvp-wise or PVE wise. Like.. Just never had a problem with it lol, they sped the pace up sure, other than that I dont see what the problem is. Maybe my amazon had too much good gear and could keep up with them I duno.
Same with my Barb, if Sorc's didn't have teleport, or if there was some inducing limit on how the skill was used - Sorc's would be delicious fresh meat and easily the most underpowered class considering my Barb was very fast, did A LOT of damage, had insane resists and could not be slowed - yeah no TP = GFG.
If they just limited it to the Sorceress ( I'm talking about Diablo II) and never put it on Enigma for every other character, immunes would act as the equilizer, thus the need for the Sorceress for speed and various other characters for fire power in fighting immunes.
It would not be fair at all to take it away- casting classes always have next to no health, very low defense, etc., while other classes get to have high health, defense, etc. Teleport adds the extra speed the sorceress needs to act as the ranged-attacker she was meant to be. Giving it to everyone else was not fair by any means- they got along fine before the introduction of Enigma.
Failing at what?
edit: ooooh, it was a simple case of you not being able to read and taking offence to my post, considering it was meant for the one above it. and just to save more embarassment from you, we posted at the same time. this way you won't make an half-assed attempt at proving yourself wrong. gj. take your own advice and stop failing

Yeah i agree, if you took it away from the magic user in d3 it would give them a pretty big disadvantage.
I don't see too much of a problem for Sorc's having teleport except the fact it makes MF ridiculously easy. It just got REAL stupid when everyone had teleport and PvP was just a teleport fest instead of strategy.
You just teleport around casting any skill you think will land a decent hit.
Failing at what?

Hmmm? I didn't take offense to your post, I was just saying that you should stop getting your ass kicked by teleporting Sorc's then screaming nerf because you don't have the skill to counter it. By skill I don't mean your characters skill, more so your lack of said brain. Though I agree that no other classes should be allowed to teleport, minus the Sorc of course and by inducing a restriction to it would be absolutely retarded because this would make the Sorc very easily killable by just about anyone.
Actually, its more like Enigma that threw off pvp balance. I don't care if they give teleport for sorcs as long as they have a reasonable cooldown and if they don't do another Enigma fiasco.
Teleport was definatly moronic in D2, seriously wtf was up with that? And wtf is up with making teleport a SKILL and then NOT depending the speed you can tele on the amount of points you spend in it?
So, absolutely yes to a cooldown and shorthen the cooldown time (and the amount of mana tele costs) the more you pour into the skill.
Ah, I was under the impression everyone just meant a cooldown period for it no matter what- that would make it a shitty skill like telekinesis. If it had a shorter and shorter cool down as it got more skill points, then I'd agree with that. I don't really like the 1-point thing.
InoRite? I <3 making things confusing! It's fun

agreeeed...

Or.... You could learn how to stop failing?
