All 5 classes are stated as having both a male and female version, so in essence that is 10 characters to choose from.
A lot of girls do play Diablo, and good on them. I don't see why they can't play as a girl. After all I am male and I can play as a male, why shouldn't the females be gives the same oppurtunity.
Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to take it.
I have played female before when I could have just as easily gone male. I role play, even if the game doesn't fully allow for it. If I can go female and I want to I will.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Personally, I'd rather look at females, if that makes me gay, so be it.
Agreed.
I will ocasionaly use a male model though if it's to be a strictly frontline character designed to look big.

There are no cheap tactics, only good ones.
Don't be afraid to take a chance, your skill will help the dice roll in your favor.
Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
Only if she looks cooler than the male. Coolness is all I care about in my characters. Doesn't matter if they are male or female. Which is why I chose the Necro first in D2.
I'll pick a mix of male and female characters. I don't know why, but if I have every character as male it starts to feel like it's just one guy doing 5 different things instead of the characters being separate personalities.
I'll definitely have a male barbarian and hopefully a female caster(not witchdoctor damnit!) and a female of whatever the bow user will be.
I don't mean to echo all the threads in this forum but they shoulda done it like they did in d2 and 1. Some classes just are better as female and others are better as males. Barb = male Amazon = female its so much simpler. Its not like d2 was sexist against girl gamers, havlf the chars were female.
And a sorcerer is a male. I fail to see whats so hard to comprehend about that.

No. Heaps of idiotic geeks will try and hit on you.
So what's your point? I've had male chars hit on before. I fail to see a problem here.
People will hit on the opposite sex (and in some cases the same sex), it happens, I don't see why that should mean I should avoid one of the sexes. I usually go males for tanks, females for casters.

That has never ever happened to me in a game when using a male character model.
Easy way to get free items I suppose - use a female character and pretend you're a chick. I bet people do it.
Barbarian female, bah not really since I do believe the male version would look more estetic. Although, female witch doctor or any female spell caster is the only I see it. Females always have more patience to learn spells, while the men always go straight to the brute stuff!
I won't.
Anyways, I wonder what the male assassin or the male amazon will be
Ninja? HomoZon?

but i also agree because it is disheartening to hear complaining because you cant choose a girl char.

Did you see any female barbarians in D2 at Harrogath?
There was Mala and Anya both nothing close to be barbaric.
