A group of Fallen with a handcannon firing once at the town then standing there laughing for a few seconds before they realize it has to be reloaded and they don't know how.
That would be funny as hell. (That's why they use swords. "Now listen, all you have to do is swing this and it hurts them. Ok?" Lol.)

this would be the stupidest idea ever... EVER!!
It's just as stupid as using bows or axes.
Can you explain why it would be any stupider then using a bow or axe?
Is it just me or is this the most close minded forum on the internet?... (Not you Warlord, just members in general.)
let me open more(does that make sense?) i dont like when medieval games go and use guns all of a suddon, like in medieval series i never like using guns, cause it wasnt as fun. and im not saying its bad for all games, but i like having medieval games how they were in real life(except for magic of course)

Well, I understand that. And that is why I was talking about a hand cannon of that era. It would, in fact, fit in with the other weapons as those weapons would be used in that time frame.
(Yes, they arn't common in Hollywood, but Hollywood fucks alot of stuff up. So...)

Yeah how Bout I drive my hummer GTA style with a full crew and we go stomping demons with our "hand cannons".
I just hope we dont get leveled by a meteor while our crappy bullets are bouncing off of there skins.
yo dat is RIBS yo.
Yo yo yo waz up G-dawg. You iz an idiot who cant read dawg.
Yo yo yo G-dawg, I don't like reading your posts so you iz blocked G-dawg.
Firearms existed since before the medieval era. The problem however is that they were non conventional until a little while after the 100 year war (the birth of conventional artillery was born in this war, this set the stage for firearms)
It is widely known that several cultures had designed infantry weapons such as hand cannons in an attempt to regularlize them.
Why would this even be a topic? Because Larzuk couldn't have just had the idea randomly, a smithy wouldn't have the time to stop and brainstorm, think about it, this guy was in the middle of a siege, producing as much weaponry as he could to help in the defense, and he just suddenly comes up with an idea for a cannon?
The barbarians seemed to be relatively well equiped too, so that leads me to assume they were a frequent trade route, even though they were quite remote. There are several mysteries pretaining to an unknown asian element, hovering through out the world, The prospect of Firearms and Artillery is thus possible but highly unlikely and no matter how unlikely it is, it should be brought up.
It is no waste to explore the possability, no matter how unlikely the probability.
I ask those of you who will read this: How do you think it could fit into the world of sanctuary?

I just don't think it would. Larzuk was talking about it theoretically, I don't really see that in 20 years he made cannons and then scaled them down into handcannons.
People thought he was crazy just for the cannon idea.
Ok, say hypothetically that Larzuk can't make it. Why would he be the only one that could come up with the idea? Who is to say that they arn't already around, just not in the areas we explored? Remember, we explored a very small part of Sanctuary.

A weapon of that technology and power, I'd of think it would be hot news, even if it came from over seas by someone like Meshif.
If it was in a very secluded part of Sanctuary and a recent invention then I guess it's possible.
That's true but Asia was a lot farther away then lets say... Xiansai as I assume that's the most likely place.
Sure we have nothing to scale this by it just seems so.
Anyway I'm sure even in Europe they had heard rumors of such things but dismissed it as a lot of different things.
That's probably how some of the eastern magic rumors got started. Explosives.
Well, considering the Silk road takes a month or so to travel, and D2 consists of about a month, and that the distance between Asia and Europe is comparable to Xiansai and Westmarch (from simply looking at the map, that is...) it would make sense that they would begin to show up about half way through the game.
There is lots of complaining about the artwork, new charcters, etc. But there are less new constructive ideas on this forum. My suggestion is that if you have nothing to bring the discussion in form of new ideas then you should not be part of it. And if you don't like the artwork etc, then just don't buy the game. It's that simple.
I DIDNT COUNT BUT IM PRETTY SURE NOONE WAS COMPLAING ABOUT THE ARTWORK IN THIS THREAD
Actually I think the guy suggesting Witch Doctors should be two fetishes/flayers standing on each others head was a stupider idea.
That would be funny as hell. (That's why they use swords. "Now listen, all you have to do is swing this and it hurts them. Ok?" Lol.)

Well, look how long it took to get from Asia to Europe. It may just be getting there, and could be a weapon that could show up in Act 3-ish.
Asia and europe?? this is diablo 3 noob.

An atomic bomb or a bazooka is absurd to you but...
..isn't?

Obviously armored bikes with cannons is a horrible idea on many many different levels.
The cannon recoil would slam your bike back about 20 feet.
Could you even peddle a bike with a cannon attached?
The cannon recoil even if you were grounded would shatter whatever was supporting it on the bike.
BUT U SAID YOU WERE TIRED OF PEOPLE NOT HAVING NEW IDEAS AND COMPLAING ABOUT THE ARTWORK.
WELL I THINK THIS IS AT LEAST A SOMEWHAT NEW IDEA I MEAN THIS IS THE FIRST THREAD ABOUT IT THAT IVE SEEN
