This is my opinion of what should be in Diabo3: (FYI: for those not familiar to blizzards games, WoW is World of Warcraft.)
-One thing is to no have another WoW with Diablo chars, like factions (heaven and hell), and NO taking "turns" crap like WoW, just hacking and slashing demons.
-It would be nice if gold was actaully valuable, I like the idea of an Auction House as in WoW, it make gold much more valuable and you wont have to look around ALL day for a certain item.
-Of course new classes, and like everyone else is saying, being able to customize your character (hair, face, etc.) and choose their voice, out of a list of like 5 per char type, so the numberpad saying things dont sound so emotion dead.
-Choosing Female or Male, but only certain classes can only be one gender, etc.
-Being able to see ALL of your items as in Wow, like you can see gloves, boots, belt, etc. as compared to D2 where only armor and helms make u look different.
-Of course better graphics, and different armors of the same type dont only differe from appearance on your char due to color change. (i.e a rare gothic plate and a unique gothic plate, and a normal gothic plate look EXACTLY the same except color in D2, we should fix that.)
-Alot more quests and side quests to do, because I hate it when you finally reach lvl 99 in D2 and there is nothing to do with your power. And the fact you can easily get like 50 levels in a day kinda pisses me off.
-Of course alot more items, there is only one unique of each class of item in the game exepct jewelry. And make runes and gems much rarer.
-I like the idea of an ultimate set for each char class, but there should be like 2 for each class, and make EVERY aura different, unlike D2 where as Ik aura looks like Tals aura which looks like Natylas aura etc. Make it more unique.
-Im not gonna dispute over the fact of games like D2 or one big realm like WoW, but if like D2 more pplz in each game would be nice, and Bigger and More towns if possible.
-More skill trees or talents (as in WoW) or something to make your char more unique, and like some more attributes to put skill points into.
-Things to do once ur lvl 99, D2's got one Uber quest, but possibly more?
-The PvP should stay the same, but also have Arenas Like in WoW, with Teams duels and possibly wagering gold?
-Be able to randomize names like in WoW, b/c not to sound like a nerd, but I kind of think its kool when people have actual names as opposed to: adkfefdfe, XxFreezeUrBallsXx, Goatman8672, etc.
-You have to have the Secret Cow Level, just can live without it:)
Thats about all I'm really lookin for in Diablo3. Now to just patiently wait .
that was a long post...and i agree with most of it,i like the idea of antis, heres why.i would like to have the option of being the baddest guy on the block.the good guys DO lose sometimes.id enjoy making that happen.id make a good demon,i just watched the saw movies.....all 3 of them.the different traps zigsaw used can give a demon ideas, lol.the characters could be more realistic too, think of the different scenes on the cinematics disc.all the game should utilize those graphics.
thanks for the opportunity to let me type.,lol.
i hate how you related everything to WoW blizzard games CAN differ from eachother you know >_> try gaining ideas from other games too, if possible.
Not to make a big arguement about this but, the only other bllizzard game related to Diablo 2 is WoW, (and Diablo one of course). All of the other ones are war games (dont know the technical term for these kind of games), like warcrafts 2 and 3, and starcraft one and 2. If you can give me any other game related to Diablo 2, please let me know.....

ok im not meaning ot bash ur opinion but im srry.... u say u dont want WoW in out D3 but u say (like in WoW) after each of these that I quoted.... Diablo is not meant to verge with WoW it is a different game line and should not need anything in comon with it to be good and remember Doablo was here before World of Warcraft so it dosnt need anything form it to be better....

Again, WoW, is one of the only othre blizzard game that has ANY thing in common besides diablo one. Most of it doesn't directly relate with it either, i jsut simply want more costumes, randomized names if u want, and gold to be actually worth something, pvp arenas, and more skills
Im not vergeing it into WoW read more carefully, im just giving examples so some ppl ccan get an idea of wat im talking about.....
it would be cool if ur weapons and skills will change base on what things u do,or what side u choose, and in the end of the game,u must choose to replace tyrael or become the new diablo!!!!
i have many many things i would like to c in diablo 3, but the only thing i realli want for diablo 3......is for blizzard not to WoW it up, i played WoW for like 2 days and got bored....game sucks ass....ny ways yeah, i just hope blizzard dosent WoW it up is basically it.
I still have to disagree with you. It seems we have very different view about Diablo games. The best part in D1 was a freedom to create your character. The unique character items will spoils one big part of it. The way how to create your character in D1 was the most different thing compared to other similar games. Of course this is only my opinion.
I agree and disagree, Diablo 1 was unique because of the freedom with creating your character, and I do think that unique character items somewhat spoil a part of the game, but i also think its a very good idea, maybe it just needs to have less effect on the character. And let some of the simpler aspects of Diablo 1 shine through.
Hi, im new to this forum. Ive played D1/2 in the past and from reading the original post, D3 sounds...how do i say it..godly? One concern is the atmosphere/feel of diablo. That gothy, dark, evil presence...the erie feel in the starting town etc. Theres def. gotta be a main story quest-line that u have to follow to advance to the nex acts. Nothing is worse than a game with random quests and the main goal is only to grind. Also, people are giving refernces to WoW and wanting it to be a (much) larger game. Along with factions of heaven and hell would there be 1 game server (MMO) istead of the 'create x player game' multiplayer of d1/2? If so then how would acts work? "a new expedition to challange act x is starting in xx minutes" ??? Would the act bosses turn into pitbosses that spawn every once in a while and in order to advance to the next act you must take part in its slaying? It seems a bit odd to have bosses 'respawning'...hell/heaven have infinite resurect spells?
EDIT: In the original post you mention demons disguised as townspeople walkin around (as it sais in lore). It would be cool if these 'false' citizens/heroes could give you 'false' quests, that would actually help the opposing faction if you do it, and you have to decide if its for your cause or not and wether you should do it.
Wow, ive never thought of that, that would really make the game difficult, thats a really good idea, and it would be totally awesome to see something like that in D3...
lol i never really thought about what the ramifications of that idea would be but that is a good point.
im not sure "false" is the right word but i get your point. this sort of thing is present in various DND games, where instead of being given a quest to help someone, an evil person can kill the person in need of help. somewhat of a variation is someone convinving you someone or something is evil, when infact they arent. this is something id expect one of this demon in disguise to do.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
hmmm i see were heading twards the ideaology of fable that would work rilly well with with the gameplay.i think there should be a better battle system depending on what class you are and fully custimizable.also manual blocking would be soo awsome  no holds bar!!!to me there should be way more pvp additions and "personilization".more limitations on the barb !!!!too easy to master the class wowzerz all i need to do to beat the game easy is to spill all points on to iron skin, the df rowr and the offence one, also the werl wind slashing thing.i used like only like 3 super potions on ice boss alone:( ....i got bord to death with the kind of power i gained and quit when i got to nightmare mode.
its been like forever since i played sorry for forgetting the names.

I'm descended by apes !?! o well....eats banana and fights over a female wile yelling.
I had an idea for a side quest involving a guest character who you help to escort through a dungeon. He acts as a robin hood type character who steals from the monsters (who ransacked the town one night) and gives back to the town. You would be given the choice of accepting and your actions affect the game. Should you help him, he will take all the gold dropped from monsters meaning you lose the chance to get their gold. You have 3 options:
1) Wait till he gets enough gold and turn on him, you will need to fight him. The quest ends after you kill him.
:)The Good: You get all his gold.
:(The Bad: Town people dislike you, prices increase, charged for normally free things such as healing, identification, etc. Cannot hire mercanaries.
2) Lead him to the Unique monster of the dungeon. Let him die and kill the boss. The quest ends after killing the Unique monster.
:)The Good: You gain the gold and whatever the monsters drop. Townspeople thank you for killing the monsters and don't know that you let the guest character die. Can hire mercanaries.
:(The Bad: Due to loss of gold, prices increase for items and hirelings. No extra rewards.
3) Help the guest character get the gold and kill the Unique monster. The quest ends after killing the Unique monster.
The Good: Gain whatever the monsters drop. All prices in town lower. Can get one free hireling. Given weapon (Hero Bow which is unique and can be sold for a lot) and Elixer (+25 to Health and Mana) for helping the town.
The Bad: Don't get the money from the guest character, no experience for monsters killed by him.
All penalties only affect the act your on or the town the quest takes place in.
(Sorry for the repeated post. I wanted to contribute an idea to this thread but did not want to retype my idea so I copied it from an old thread.)

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
Well thats kind of uneven. obviously everyone would pick the third. you DO get the gold - from selling the hero bow - and the xp could be gained from doing runs. lol.

I'm not saying that the choices are in front of you. You would not technically "pick" an option but instead carry it out. Those are just three outcomes derived from your actions. The purpose of which is to add variety to quests or at the very least optional quests. Besides, it really depends on your current situation. No one is likely to know the pros and cons of their actions and those who try to take the easiest, though most evil path, will experience the consequences of their actions or fruits of their labors. This in itself would be determined by your alliance with either hell or heaven though I wasn't clearly stating this in my earlier post and for that, I apologize.

there needs to be a system to orgnize the movement of your pets. the necromancer needed that in diablo 2 sooooo bad.
His summoned units? I thought they moved around just fine. Maybe not so great in the beginning, but after a few patches I never had any complaints with them.
