I started to integrate Rend into the standard Whirlwind build by replacing Wrath. I think I like it ... lol. I wanted the set-and-forget nature of rend, and particularly wanted the hit-and-run while I was trying to avoid those more vicious elites. I'd go to the edge of a pack, rend and sprint a bit. Has anyone, likewise, started using rend in Whirlwind?
Yes, rend is absolutely amazing. As long as you keep it up on as many elites as possible, even if you're frozen/feared/standing in arcane you won't die.
yeah you couldn't look a half page down and see this topic has already been started.
He said replacing wrath with rend, not WW with rend. No, I'm not stupid and can see it was discussed halfway through the thread, but it was not the topic, thus it is excusable. In short, contribute rather than being a git.
And yes, rend & WW is pretty badass, experimented with Revenge/Overpower too, not sure what to settle on.

You're both right! I should have asked the question in the 'post down the page' ... and yes, it wasn't strictly on point. I was considering rend because of the reasons I explained initially. I decided on giving up wrath for rend because I wasn't using it except as an "oh, sh_t" move when I was getting ganked.
