This is not a proof to show how bad barbs are. This is only a proof to show that the patch is only 2 days old.
It took people weeks and months to figure out the perfect GR setup. Most people are just farming gear on T6 for a week before even starting to think about new GR setups - give it some time. The fact that there's no wizard on top also shows that no one has bothered to really push the limits yet, as wizards are currently #1 in solo leaderboards and on par with DHs. By the way, even John Yang asked to give it a week, so please just wait. Era 3 will be going on for a looooooong time; many players are just doodling around waiting for the start of season 3, and non-season players don't have the urge to disclose all their best strategies on day 1.
To be fair, we know that anyone running non-raekors in a group is going to be squishy as hell. I don't think we need to wait for the leaderboards to settle to prove that (go do some group rifts!). My own experience so far in groups has been pretty disappointing (mainly in terms of survivability).
There's a wizard on #7 and a barb on #11 in 2 player with 56/55 clear, a barb on #18 in 3 player with a 58 clear, and a wizard on #37 in 4 player with a 62 clear. And keep in mind that all the top clans already have 65/64 clears, so they might just be toying around and casually clearing 60-63 rifts in 10 minutes with various setups, and will never disclose those on the leaderboards until they decide to go for a new record and up the rift level.

I cant agree more here with the lack of survivability. I have had to go more defense giving up some Damage to survive. Even with that knowing some more items will be nlocked during season 3 im going to start with the barb so see where i can take it. Regardless even if i clear the trash suoer quick it takes me just as long to kill the rift guardian. Reminds me to much of raekors or jade.
It's really a shame, because the new builds are like...a breath of fresh air after living in a furnace for the first 20 years of your life (okay so maybe Raekor's not that bad, but still...). If I do make a seasonal Barb I am 100% using one of the new builds, preferably WW since it's such a fun skill.

Strange, i feel my survivability is so much better with the ww build in group grifts and solo play as compared to reakors...
Taking down the RG is very boring though (at solo play), takes forever and aint fun at all.
I think most barbs right now are just playing, and being annoyed altogether at playing a barb 3 seasons in a row already knowing the outcome. Like I was hyped after following MannerCookie's video's, for the ZDPS builds, SS, HOTA, WW I said "finally" barbs will have a place in groups and be competitive w/o fishing hard for "perfect rifts"(act 1 mobs) stuck in a non social charge build. However, blizz snuffed the power of the zDPS build, and nerfed all the item's associated with the build including turning the seismic treads affix, into the dread iron belt. Then they nerfed Battle Rage "Bloodshed", and removed the bracers taking away the ability to sustain a major toughness buff and healing while dealing competitive damage to match DH currently.
I'm not crying here, but at some point Blizz has to just let it go and treat this game like an ARPG and stop balancing it like an MMO. All they did was successfully diminish a class in the eyes of its community. It wouldn't come at a shock that the charge barb do even better this season, since it's prob the most stable build, oh wait it too requires bracers to fully function for toughness that currently is still bugged given Furious Charge doesn't have a stun rune but still can proc the 12% mitigation from Parthan Defenders, if fixed then charge builds won't work.
Any easy fix to our single target problem would be to change "Sword & Board" into something that allows us to dual wield 2h's, giving us a nice stat stick like Furnace or Gavel so group builds using HOTA/SS builds could be competitive. Put the Fury Gen on the Wrath set instead of Rend allowing the use of a 2h, and not being fury starved while maintaining a +6IK/+4WW build. Maybe tut the bracers back in and just allow it to have the toughness rune or life per fury spent giving us much needed survivability allowing us 2 active WOTB runes rather than all 5. I can QQ all day, and I'm sure everyone reading this will say play a DH then, well I like my barb, but I almost don't want to level a 4th one.
Proof how bad barbs are, not a single one in the top 150 groups.. how sad
Top 150 groups:

Bagstone, is that you who made that video with that guy laughing?
Yes.
I want to thank you for it I pissed my pants!
Anyway, even if Barbs aren't going to be as bad as all people yell out, i'm going to play DH for once.

Dear Bagstone,
Thanks man, need something to help tide over the barbarian withdrawal symptoms.
There's a wizard on #7 and a barb on #11 in 2 player with 56/55 clear, a barb on #18 in 3 player with a 58 clear, and a wizard on #37 in 4 player with a 62 clear. It's already looking like WD/Saider/DH/DH is the best setup, although as Bagstone mentioned it's still early days.
