The music is good but I just can't get into scream metal. If I want to get yelled at, all I have to do is piss off my wife and then turn up some kicking background music, and voila.
hmmm in fact all I have to do is crank up music real loud and then her screaming will certainly follow.
and you get the added value of live brand new improvised show for yourself!
I've started exploring more random areas in Diablo 3
I came across a cannibal who ate all his buddies and wrote about it in his diary and a crazy man who was trying to look after his obviously dead and decaying wife, rocking in the rocking chair. Her head fell off. ha
The two main things I did to improve my Diablo 3 experience
- Pay less attention to the main storyline and more to the side lore and random areas
- Play the appropriate Diablo 2 music (from the soundtrack) in different areas of Diablo 3. Or use some songs from the Battlestar Galactica soundtracks
I couldn't believe how big of a difference good RPG styled music made on my playing experience. Like listening to Act2 D2 music in Caldeum ROCKS MY MIND. But walking through Caldeum with no music on is so dull.
Well I'm far from finished playing. Have only played about 55 hours in total. Still need to get my monk through Inferno and then play other characters. I play BF3 along with D3, so D3 will be not boring for a while, but who knows, my exams ends (hopefully) this Tuesday and then I'll be able to nerd myself in front of the pc the holiday...it's winter for me this June/July so staying is appropriate behaviour!
Lol. The puns from the rocking chair lady had me laughing. I listen to my own music while playing D3, haven't tried D2 music before.
That is probably the best hilarity in the game! I also like the lady from the palace who is standing outside the inn in act 2 standing next to the Iron Wolf guard Jerryn. The journal of the dead farmer who thinks there was nothing to worry about with the goat men was funny too. I love going back to the same people again and again to see what new things they have to say.
I won't quit, but I never get to addicted to any game so I can't actually quit...
That's the way I play too, I just jump between games so I never over play them. I may put them down for half a year, but then they are still fun to go back to. It took about 5 years before I was really done with D2, and I have even gone back to D1 years after playing it and got back into for a few months.
well blizz have said nothing about fixing WDs. i guess my soloing days on him is over, dps is very high, my defences are very high and stuff still one shots me with melee.
ill use him for coop
I was really surprised at how weak and ineffective the WD attacks were. I love the barbarian and I'm currently loving the Monk because I feel like I have the just right balance between kick ass in my attacks and being vulnerable. I hate it when I feel like I need to be extra careful on a character because they don't have enough punch or dodge to get you out of a spot and that's how it felt with the WD.
It took so damn long to kill Diablo with the WD, my best defense was to run, run, run. I don't mind stick and move like the demon hunter was, but the WD felt more like stick, and move! Move! Move!

The upcoming changes were aimed at making melee characters life a little easier but it's going to make things at least a little easier for ranged too. Less damage and health on mobs is going to soften it all around.
I think the patch is sort of intended to take away one shots, at least for melee, as long as you aren't gearing like a drunk chimpanzee. So hopefully that should lead to it being a little more forgiving for ranged too. And less hp obviously just means you can nuke stuff faster.
What are your stats freddy? highest damage reduction, damage, health, attack speed, movement speed?

I'm sitting close to 100 hours so far and I'm not even close to being finished. I have almost 70 hours alone on just my WD, by the time I get all my other chars to inferno I'll be sitting at 300 hours. I'm slowly doing achivement's right now too.. so who knows how many more hours I need to add to that.
Oh yeah, and explicit lyrics included
Warp 10, engage.
