I'm referring to the TBS one where you have your guys on your side, their guys on their side, and if you order one of your guys to attack he jumps right to them, hits them with a sword, and jumps back...
Oh, I see what you mean. You sound like you would like Crystal Chronicles more then.
FF is too linear for me, and i dont like the standard rpg battle system either - its kinda lame when you think about it, let me hit you and then you hit me. only works in pokemon. at least rpgs like front mission had other variables that made rpg somewhat interesting.
yup, im another water temple casualty. never beat it, but i beat gannon on a friends save for the ending.
I agree, but I think most games are too linear.
As for the Big G, I loved his ending, sword right to the head.
Well I'm currently playing HoMM:V TotE, got it the other day really cheap so thought I would check it out since I liked HoMM:III so much. Very different to what I thought but it's not so bad.
I'm also going back to SC1 now and then, still fun to play sometimes while I save up for SCII.
I'll be downloading Zy-El mod soon, sounds... well hard.
League Of Legends. God, I spent way too much time playing that game when I could be playing other, more decent, games.
HoN wouldn't be getting so much hate if it was free... and if you're new to the genre then HoN isn't that bad. Since LoL has THEE(YES ADDED AN EXTRA E FOR EPIC) worst M.M evar. My fuck in the 500-700 I played I only got about 10-20 GOOD games. Where saying "Gg" at the end actually meant something.

It's all been said. The pun, the not so funny joke, the phrase, something about oneself, the not so random picture.
LoL's MM does not match up new players with players who dropped below 1500 and then came back up. Don't see how you can say HoN's MM is better with that error. Or did they fix that?
All my HoN games were like, 5 veterans vs 5 newbies it was really retarded. Public games, pretty much same thing, takes half an hour to even start one, someone will PROBABLY leave, and half of them are veterans trying to get newbies so that they could roflstomp them.
I had plenty of good LoL games. Especially when I went premades. We must be playing different games. O.o (and I play solo que 99% of the time)
Please. You just dislike LoL because it's cartoony, has a silly abbreviation, and generally a casual atmosphere. But at least it didn't just blank clone an existing game like HoN did. Why not just play DotA?
Because I have never played DotA and I only played a few games of HoN. I simply hate LoL because of the 6 months I wasted playing it . The game itself isn't that bad, but it's quite unbalanced. I hate having to adjust to "Meta's". I want to adjust to specific player styles, not a global style that everyone is freaking using because it's the most effective way of winning. I want to have fun and play with others that want to have fun too. When I have a bad game I don't want someone hammering me because of what "I could of" done. If I build my char differently it's my decision to make and my responsibility to announce it. If I have to adjust I do. If I politely tell people not to stick to set builds they still freaking hammer me, even though I'm doing the best I can to just help them this game and perhaps even future games.
Casual atmosphere... really? The only games that are fun ARE the casual ones. The ones where everyone wants to just have fun playing the game vs their opponents. There are the assholes that suck and the assholes that are awesome. Then there are those who just want to have fun. When 4/5 people on each team are of the third, then the game takes a positive turn towards "GG" instead of "gg.. that sucked" or mostly "Bg. my team sucked".
I think we just have a different view of "GG".
And I actually liked the cartoony effect, and they're getting a new makeover in graphics which should be pretty interesting. Perhaps what lead me away was the fact that I stuck to a select group of friends who I enjoyed playing with and got too much into believing that's how everyone should act. It's my fault, not the games.
I'm just saying that the MM in LoL mostly ended up pairing me(or us) with assholes/silent treatment'ers. The rare casual players were what kept [us] playing.
Oh, and I spent too much time on that game. SO IN THE END I HATE IT BECAUSE OF ME AND ONLY ME, YOU SHOULD TRY IT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, YOU'LL PROBABLY LIKE IT.

Ehm, I myself am playing TES4: Oblivion and Civ5.
With one friend I'm playing Quake co-op/NWN2/Red Alert: A Path Beyond (A Red Alert mod for Renegade)/Alien Swarm.
With another I'm playing a Commandos 2 mod, damn near impossible on Veteran. Nobody should spot us and (almost) no enemy should die.
And with another person I pay DotA.

Just hooked up the gamecube for the first time in years and now I'm playin through bounty hunter. I'm gonna start back up on the zelda series soon when my N64 comes crawling back to me. As for current games, I'm really enjoing Crysis although it's extremely hard and frustrating at times.
Well obviously you just read something about Halo.
Yeah, you got me. I know its a FPS and its a game, its name and that someone wierd guy is called Chief and he is in diffrent colors. And its on a console.
I dont know about the story, the mechanics, enemies, about the character etc.

Basically, the developer Bungie(R) was making an RTS. They were creating units for the game but they realized it was alot more fun to play with the units then the game itself. So they changed the game from an RTS to an FPS. Then through some fate (Don't remember exactly why) they left Macs and went to PC. Then they left PC and went to the 360. Microsoft then went and bought them. They then released a generic space shooter called Halo.
(The creation of the game is -much- more interesting then the game itself.)
Finally got to try out Halo: Reach (my first time at any of the Halo series).
I only played for about 30 mins, was having a hard time getting my ass moving, aim and the camera angle to jibe.
Granny's hand/eye coordination isn't what it used to be.:P
But it was enjoyable.

Hahaha, yea, I dislike Halo (Too much of a generic shooter), but I love the story behind it.
