hi guys
i got intel i5 2500k processor
and graphic card 560ti
diablo 3 runs very nice with this pc till patch 14
but in patch 15 and 16 my pc get very hot in an hour of d3 play.
why that so
it was running very nice earlier only problem came in patch 15 and 16
i need to run ac (air condision) to get my pc to normal cool.
with ac my pc become normal but the question is why that so???
problem in patch or my pc????????
Is your framerate capped in the game options? Afaik, Starcraft 2 had similar issues and Blizz added a virtual cap to FPS, so your gpu/cpu don't overheat.
i get 3xx ms ping and fps from 60-100 keep on changing.......
Turn on vsync or set your cap to 60 fps. Problem solved. Vsync is preferable because it prevents a "tearing" effect in the image.
Most likely, this. Graphics cards will produce as many frames per second as possible unless you tell them not to. When they do that, they get really hot. Turning on vsync will set your fps to the refresh rate of your monitor (which is probably 60 fps) and not make your video card work so hard. And vsync tends to look better as well, as Kardax2 says, because of tearing issues.

...and if you disagree with me, you're probably <insert random ad hominem attack here>.
Run that and check your temps after your PC gets hot. If your CPU cores are below like 75C and your video card is below say 85C, you're probably fine. If not, try turning up the fan speeds.
Edit: It might help to use the graph feature in Speedfan when checking temps since you'll probably have to minimize D3 to check them which will make the temps drop.

1.) you have dust in your chasis... dust acts as an insulator and increases heat
2.) You overclocked your GPU which by default will overheat
3.) Your cooling system sucks
4.) Your NVIDIA settings aren't set to use application settings
5.) You already overheated your GPU causing system damage....
also make sure your internal pc fans are actually running, as fans can die. also im not sure what your ambient room temperature is, but if its like 40*C then that might be an indicator...
$10 says his CPU cooler is not mounted properly. If its the stock intel cooler, they are total crap and a common noob mistake is thinking its mounted right, but one of the corners is not pressed in properly.
Go in your bios, check your cpu temp there. If its higher than like.. 32-35c, your cooler is not on properly.
This game doesnt do anything magic to your CPU. There are plenty of people, including myself running I7s well over 4ghz on air cooling and we're hardly cracking mid 50s.

This is a good plan. Report that info back to us.
Yah it has absolutely nothing to do with D3 in particular.
There is something in your system is fucking up, and he has not had his system long enough for dust to be a problem. Could be a few things, but first we need that info.
