they cant matey, the annual subs to wow will play a factor, as i said the people who got the annual subs in november will fall under a consumer rights act, if blizz release after MoP
because when the got into the contract of the Annual pass deal, it said diablo 3 early 2012 in the print
and if its after MoP its no longer early, it does fall under a consumer rights act
also alot of other games from other publishers are coming out in the summer and after and blizz will not want to collide with some big console names, would result in lost sales
not every1 that plays wow will play diablo and vise versa, you could look at it both ways, but i reckon D3 before MoP
they took stuff out of D3 to get it closer to live, if they know or knew that it would be live after the summer, they would have not taken stuff out, they would have kept them in and kept working on them
but neither of us are correct, we have no idea, i look at probable out comes & what will get in diablos way
Um yeh, you were a fool to buy the annual deal... you will be ripped off and Blizz will procrastinate. There is nothing about saying "early" that is binding in a legal case. Im sorry for u.
Also Blizz doesn't give a loose shit about when other games are being released; the whole company suffers from a superiority complex. And they DEFINITELY don't care about console games.
And if your looking at the most probable outcomes I would expect a delay or even a short term cancelation. Judging by Blizzard's last full game releases, those outcomes are a lot more likely than an 'early' release. This whole series of delays and cuts is exactly what Starcraft Ghost went through.
Again Im sorry for you, Blizzard is a shitty company when it comes to serving its customers.

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...
1. anounce a console version
2. remove, remove and remove stuff from the game
so what does that tell you? They are holding back the PC version till the console is ready to go, so they can release both games at the same time. I don't think it has anything to do with Pandaria.
How is this coming back?
No sir, the console team is HELPING the pc team, they will not even start the console version until the PC version is out, and even then, it has a good chance of not even being Diablo 3.
I'm just looking at the history, personally I highly believe all the removing and watering down the game has been done to guarantee a smooth transition. Game has been announced at the end of 2008 so thats roughly 4 years, for a game with very limited graphics and what not.The real problem is, they are always starting from scratch because they overthink everything. Back when Blizzard North was at the helm they wanted to create a great game.
yeah the console version most likely wont even be d3 but just a diablo game, the removal of all this stuff has nothing to do with the console version for sure.
Well guys I hate to be a broken record but I'll repeat myself for a fourth time and maybe now it will sink in. D3 won't be released till after mop. I'm guessing they made this business decision after missing the 2011 deadline. There is no way in hell (pardon the pun) they'll release Diablo within a month or so of MOP release, the potential revenue loss to mop is too great.
A month or so after MOP you'll see a D3 release, afterall they want you buying the wow expansion and if you're busy playing D3 your less inclined to bother with it, but they know you'll buy d3 no matter what.
Yeah well I don't think I would have listened this record anyway, sounds like crap. Conspiracy theory crap. MoP is nowhere near as finished as Diablo III, which is probably like 98-99% done at this point.
Diablo III is in its beta and has been for a long time.
Difference though the guys from North are gone and Wilson doesn't know jack about Diablo, which sadfully shows. Blizzard 2.0 wants to make limited p2w game with their RMAH not a great game, small but big difference.
I'm not even sure you're talking about Jay Wilson here? Because if you are then I can't even begin to explain how wrong you are. Like honestly. If a company wants to make a new game that is a continuation of an old game, has the same feeling but is obviously way, way better, then I just don't see any other team of people being able to do this.
Did you even see what Blizz North did with D2.5? You can go ahead and just blame them for the game's delay to Q2 2012 when it could've already been out in 2008 or something like that.
Did you? Or did you see a bunch of leaked still shots courtesy of kotaku with a way-out camera, almost no action or graphical fx, and no real lighting which was probably a demo portfolio from one background artist on a team of up to a dozen and assume that it was a fair representation of the game?
ok ok ok
Its not that the game is slipping; we need to do this and that and add and remove stuff... they have project managers that will take all of this into account when scoping and sizing the project... they are simply stringing you and me out as this site and others provide a huge amount of free advertisement and promotion and awareness to the property they are creating and expect to generate a huge amount of revenue from.
That is the sad thing - they are liars! bold-faced liars! cheats and smug b@st@rds! Q2 may well turn into Q3, which in turn could quite easily turn into 2013 - i would not be surprised Of course they want to release the 'best game ever', 'its not ready until its ready', 'soon (TM)' blah blah blah - but that is the case for every studio, isn't it? I have been following the discussions on why it is late and a lot is about taking stuff away - they know what to take away as they get all beta and fan site feedback - we will find all the stuff they have taken away magically appear in the expansion - and we will know that when that is released we will have the game they had finished in 2011!
Also, Bliz, if you read this, don't laugh at me too hard!
I know the gut reaction to this Q2 stuff is "push back" but, its not the case.
We've known for a while now (since it moved back from 2011) that the game was going to take a while longerr. Well, now we know about how much longer.
For the first time since I started hopelessly following D3's development (about april of last year) we finaly have a window!
I'm MUCH happier tonight, knowing that today is Feb 9th, and Diablo 3 is coming out somewhere between 51 days and 142 days from now.
Not just that, but we know, or at least have good reason to hope, that we will hear news of the release date with in 3 weeks or so.
I'm happy.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I wouldn't take "Targeting Q2" as a set in stone release time.
Chances are it is going to have at lease one more delay before release.
They aren't going to delay it again. The only system that is not finalized is the skill and rune system. Which they also stated that info on it was coming real soon. Plus they said that they didn't decide upon Q2 release until this week. And another delay after a more specific range for release would cause people to get really pissed and they can't afford that.

I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
Yes I am, in my mind they've done the wrong thing. At first you have a game as loved as Diablo 2 and announce a successor but after that this team has been working hard to remove lots of stuff.Remember them saying "what happned in D1 and D2 isn't that important anymore?". They should've named it Tristram or Sanctuary instead of Diablo 3. Fine, you believe heavily in them but please tell me what have they done so far that screams confidence?
They've been "working hard to remove lots of stuff"? Are you saying they just intentionally remove stuff for removal stuff's sake? It surely can't be that this stuff just isn't working very well right now and they prefer to leave it on the backburner than to have it on release where people would instantaneously see how flawed that part of the design is?
What they've done so far is capture the atmosphere that the first 2 games had. I've had very limited experience with the Beta but from what I gained it was exactly what a Diablo game has always been. Also if you've been listening to interviews from the devs from the past couple of years you simply need to understand how well these people know their stuff.
It's always sad to see functionality go away but frankly I'd rather remove the octothorpe from my cell phone's keyboard if it doesn't really do me any good. And it doesn't. Yet it's still there. And it bothers me.
Did you? Or did you see a bunch of leaked still shots courtesy of kotaku with a way-out camera, almost no action or graphical fx, and no real lighting which was probably a demo portfolio from one background artist on a team of up to a dozen and assume that it was a fair representation of the game?
I saw an ugly game that has been in development for at least 3 years. Just the year after Ironlore came out with Titan Quest and even with its questionable graphics it looked way more awesome. Even so, after 3 years of development Blizz North couldn't come up with a single demo footage. Not skills or characters or places or anything. Everything on the interface was sliced off from D1 and D2. I somehow doubt that the game was even 30% ready.
The second edition of D3 started development late 2005. By 2008... well you know very well what that Blizzcon demo showed us. The game was working and there was a playable demo on the spot.
The only sadness I feel about stuff being removed from D3, honestly, is the death animations. Was one of the coolest, even if simply cosmetic features that I instantly loved.
i know its probably not the case, but it just seems like the game has been in the polishing stages since middle of december. besides the whole attributes change, there really hasnt been any HUGE changes to the game. I just think its time for a release already. someone has mentioned in the past, they coul print out the game now as is, start mass producing it and sending the copies out, and they could still be working on the game, when you long into battle.net there could be a patch download. i dont know, ive been so eagerly waiting on this game to have a release since blizzcon, that going 4 months will still no release date has taken a toll on me :\

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
Q2 is still early 2012 if done in the first two months..so nothing has changed
not true. if it is May the is the 2nd 'third' of the year which is not early it is middle. that is a mathematical fact.
not 100% true, it all matters on how you split the year about, to me, april is the end of early, but some say may, and I can accept that. June.. I wont take
lol maybe you should try to be objective instead of defending blizz so you own't lose you beta keys.

Wow. You're looking at what was probably a leak from one artist's portfolio - who probably had zero interest in showing off things like lighting, game design, skill fx, animation - and assuming that it was a game. Not just assuming that, but assuming that the lack of other material unseen by the public had nothing to do with development secrecy, and everything to do with it just being bad.
That's impressive. What's even more impressive is that you're far from alone.
And some wonder why Bliz seems to troll the fanbase as if they have no respect for it?
seems to me someone not taken other peoples views (like I am doing counting may..which I wouldnt) is the one not being objective.
No no you really just defend to keep you shiny green title
What? that doesn't even... Blizzard has nothing to do with this site sir, and theres lots of things I dont agree with and post about, so please stop trying to act all "You all love blizzard blah blah" because not everyone shares your negative view 100% of the time. Some of us like to look at the positive side.
As I said, I post about things I dont like all the time, your the only one not being objective here.

That's not true. An uncritical, fawning tone is maintained, because everyone knows that Blizz PR freezes out everyone that doesn't toe that line (like incgamers). There's nothing wrong with that, but please don't insult peoples' intelligence by pretending otherwise.
