I suddenly almost felt bad for Bashiok... Also, I LOLdMyAO at this post...
At the announcement, Diablo III was an RPG. Then, it was ARPG, now it's a Co-op. I've never even heard of a co-op game before. How many genres are ya'll going to make up for this project?
WHAT IS HAPPENING
Seriously? Whoever posted that is making those of us with valid concerns look bad...

To be totally fair and honest, almost nothing on those boards is a valid concern. It's simply people who take in what blizzard says and refuse to process it. Instead the chop it into clips and bytes for sig material and make more rant posts.
But you're correct, the few make-sense posts are literally under water at this point.
It's also really hard to have valid concerns about games that you've never played.
Yes, I can accept that some people are either morally or otherwise opposed to paying real money for items, but as far as design aspects there is really no way for anyone to know what's good or bad.

This is true, but in this case, we have a poster who is extremely ignorant to gaming in general, posting about an arbitrary label which has little to nothing to do with the game play itself. It's embarrassing, to be quite frank... That poster should spend some time playing Pokemon and work his way up to big boy games.
I am not quite seeing how posting that other sites and people are still concerned/ignorant is any better than complaining ourselves.
You missed the point ENTIRELY. I was trying to point out the difference between constructive criticism, and meaningless banter. Most of us here are very CONCERNED that the game we have been waiting for for so many years wont live up to our expectations. The post in question however does not show that concern. What it shows is how uninformed and childish (albeit funny) some forum goers can be.
I just want to get back to reading / digesting "REAL" news.
For example, the fact that we know the names of almost all, if not all, of the DH and Monk skills now should be a huge topic of discussion, but every one is too busy listening to themselves type about the RMAH to bother talking about that.
I'd also like to know why no one at the press event bothered to write down all of the discriptions of the new skills (assuming you could mouse over them, which based off the discriptions of the traits from the german site, I assume you could).

My apologies for missing your point beneath the prod at his alleged mental development (or lack thereof).
I would LOVE to see the DH discussion pick back up, too.
Back to my corner.
Remember Real ID? It was inspired by the poor community within the blizzard forums. They were hoping that it would force people to be more civil.
Honestly, unless you care about the place you post at... why are you going to act civil?
The real problem is that the people posting don't feel that they have any ownership or responsibility for their postings.
To be fair, the mods not locking down the witch-hunt RMAH troll threads are not helping this. I'm not saying they are complicit, but the feeling of responsibility to one's good posting is entirely up to that person. Nobody but the moderators can enforce good posting and if they don't, well, you get a sea of rant threads and a lot of good posters just trying to calm people down or make them see the light. Ultimately the good posters are outnumbered and quality forum posts die a horrible death as these people become fed-up and simply stop logging in to see what's new in the rage-cage.
