i want an endgame challenge for some aesthetic rewards, seemingly impossible for bragging rights. Something where your items count for nothing and you have to use wit and cc to achieve your gold/pretties.
-Personally after Hell mode I want a Max Hell mode. It would basically tune every encounter to and endgame fight, with new random quest that add really cool aspects to the lore. End game loot and just the ability to really delve deep into story elements that weren't there in the standard game out right.
Will PvP get big during end game?
-I'm sure it will be big within those circles but I'm all for working in PvE. I will watch, I love me some good e-sports.
Will you be farming?
-Very much so, get the best gear on all my toons.
Will you be getting gear for twinking other chars?
-I plan to work on alts a lot but then again I will probably have a ton of toons to work on in the first few days considering I have multiple planned groups.
Are you going to make it big in the Auction House?
-I will look into whatever the global trade system becomes but don't know if that will be a big focus for me. Can't say till we know more.
I hope that end game would require everyone on the server to work together towards some goal. Like a massive raid of a castle or something like that. That would be so nice.
maybe groups requiring to complete different parts of a world quest to unlock end game questions.
if not world quests maybe guild quests. Groups of 4 x 5. group 1 needs to recover sword of holy. group 2 needs to defeat boss xyz. group 3 and 4 need to pull leavers to open the castle door and group 5 defeat the guards of the castle. Then it opens up to a guild event where the hole guild gets to pve raid this castle. Just my idea

dont think they are going the mmo route.

A Post Concerning The Real-Money Auction House:
"Except real money trading has always been present in Diablo 2. Except now it's going to be officially supported which will reduce scams, prevent the funding of the black market so your kids will no longer be exposed to dangerous life ruining drugs like the cancer causing marijuana."

Not sure if I would call that MMO. I think guild quests like this would add a lot to the game
I think endgame will be PvP and farming. Maybe spend some time getting achievements. I honestly have no clue beyond PvP what's in store for my endgame... I'm not the kind of person that wants one of every character type, just 1 or 2 is enough for me, so I hope Blizzard does a really good job keeping the endgame engaging beyond PvP and farming.
In addition to "normal" endgame, I hope that there's some sort of daily / weekly quest that Blizzard puts in. The quests would be (for example) "Kill 1000 demons" and the reward would be 100 Gold. The weekly quest could be much bigger and give a bigger reward. [Like what Bungie did with Reach]
I think the PvM end game will be Hell. Harder monster with new abilities, maybe some new quests and the necessity of a well coordinated group or a extremely well planned character for soloing it. As reward for overcoming this challenge will be new, exciting loot.
The other option will be competitive PvP matchs.
*Will PvP get big during end game?
Surely. Blizz stated that PvP will not be initital D3 development focus. But i'm sure after a while it will. We all kno that Blizz like to change the game direction to please it's crowd. If people really start to make PvP serious, and i'm they will, Blizz will start to launch PvP content.
*Will you be farming?
Of course. But i hope farming will be better next time. Force the player to visit different dungeons, face different monster and apply different strategies. Thats what i'm looking for.
*Will you be getting gear for twinking other chars?
Yes. I don't only like to be build characters. I like to be a family of characters. And in this context twinking is one of the funnest things to do. Because when you twink a character you don't only make his high end build. You plan each step you will take to level up.
*Are you going to make it big in the Auction House?
I work with and study economics. To be honest, when i play games i just want to get rid of freaking price fluation models and everything that makes think about it for a while. I will surely pass much more time farming/planning builds then trying to be rich.

I'm a big fan of dailies as long as they don't get repetitive like for example: kill this monster today and then the next day would be kill this other monster. I despise repetition but I can only hope for so much.
I hope there's more in-store than just grinding for new loot & extra quests.
How do you think it will turn out?
- I think it will be a surprise to us all.
Will PvP get big during end game?
- I think PvP will have a strong following for sure. A much better implemented system than greifing.
Will you be farming?
- I'll be rolling tons of characters before I even think about farming mats for uber weapons and gems. Or whatever farming would bring to me main toons.
Will you be getting gear for twinking other chars?
- Sure
Are you going to make it big in the Auction House?
- Meh. Becoming rich with fake currency isn't my thing. I like games for the lore, art and gameplay. Turning the AH into a second life thing is boring.
I know everyone is replying with the questions above but please don't be afraid to talk about other things during endgame and not just my questions above.
How do you think it will turn out?
- I believe the PvE and PvP content will be amazing. =)
Will PvP get big during end game?
- I think PvP will turn be big because of achievements and vanity things you'll get from having a high rating to show you are a true badass.
Will you be farming?
- Of course! That's what Diablo's all about!
Will you be getting gear for twinking other chars?
- I will have one of each class, but Barbarian will most likely be my main for awhile.
Are you going to make it big in the Auction House?
- I'll work the auction house and see what I can make, but won't be too serious.. unless I learn a decent way to make good profit from farming and selling. =)
I'd personally love to see some new innovative things added for end-game. Which; I am rather sure Blizzard will be able to do with a game such as Diablo, there is so many possibilities for what could be added. I mean obviously, farming will be a great deal of end game content along with PvP. There's also achievements which is another fun thing, but I think some other cool things would be stuff like:
-Having a random "hot" dungeon every week which Blizzard chooses and if you are lucky enough to find such dungeon, it could contain a cool unique boss at the end which would have greater chances of good MF drops.
-Have random mini-games/puzzles that can randomly appear for players; Things like:
*Holding off a certain small dungeon for x waves of monsters, these monsters differing in difficulty depending on the level of said characters participating. Completing this would obviously result in some type of loot reward/achievement.
*Random events that appear which could put players in a "stand-off" mode, where they duel each other in fun objectives.. like being put on a platform where players can fall off the edge, giving each player the ability to knock one another back, last one standing on the platform would be the victor and would be granted a reward for winning. Things of similar nature I think would add an extra level of fun.. Being a co-op game, it would give players the ability to compete in a fun manner without actually harming one another.
I mean I could think of a bunch more but I don't feel like sitting here typing all day, but yeah; I'm really hoping to see fun things like this added to Diablo.. I'm thinking it would add alot of replayability to end-game characters.. It's the small things that count after-all yeah?

Here's just a few questions that I thought up...
I know we have no idea at all on how it will turn out but this is all speculation and theory so feel free to talk about it.
Monk > Wizard > Barbarian > Demon Hunter > Witch Doctor
