To Kevin "Sixen" Carlino, I totally disagree with what you said on this PodCast.
I just don't know how many times does Jay Wilson have to keep on repeating himself before people starts to really listen and get what he has been saying all along.
I totally disagree with what Sixen said on the PodCast. Diablo III will ship out at release with Inferno as its initial End-Game content. It will take months of sleepless nights & grueling play before someone gets through hell, much more even try to get through Inferno.
Jay Wilson may have said that Inferno has a flat-level system so people will not choose where to grind & farm the content for the best gear, but that doesn't mean that Inferno would be a child's play that you could just whizz through with ease in a week or so.
I still want a unicorn level. I mean, I love Inferno and I will play it through at least once (to see what the loot is like), but the thought of a unicorn level. Way too good.
1) Make the art scheme for the unicorn location almost exactly like WoW.
2) Have there be several unicorn bosses of varying difficulty. Give them adorable names.
3) Naturally, have them drop awesome loot.
4) Last boss drops some cute armor.
5) Inferno unicorn level boasts best gear of entire game.
6) Achievement Unlocked: Friendship is Magic

I think it would be cool to have a mode similar to the previously mentioned bounty hunter mode but instead of getting a quest to kill this bad group of monsters you can randomly fall deeper into the depths of hell (whenever you are playing inferno) and have a special randomized challenge.
This challenge could be be from a list of many things including but defiantly not limited to:
Survive X minutes while waves of monsters come at you with increasing in difficulty
Kill one real hard boss with random abilities/attributes
Complete some sort of mental puzzle combined with killing monsters like outsmarting the devil then killing him (the challenge would need to be difficult and have a degree of randomness so that prior experience may help make the challenge easier but wouldn't make it stupid (like the Shroud in DDO))
Kill your way out of a hole while lava flows behind you and if you can't kill your way out fast enough you die to the lava (if you try to run through you die to the monsters)
Monster trap: you have this real hard monster that you have to trap but not kill
The falling deeper in hell could be something that you select/deselect before creating an inferno game. Successful completion of the random task could offer loot.
Infinite dungeon sounds cool. Might be difficult to implement though, I can imagine save-game bloating happening after you reached level 999,999 of an infinite dungeon . Maybe a randomly spawned dungeon that changed every time you went into it would be good.
i just wanna touch to the pod casters about a few things ive heard in the last 3 episodes....End game is end game there doesnt have to be a unique BOSS to kill (considering you kill them all throughout diablo anyways) End game simply means maxing out your characters stats and getting the best gear. People to THIS DAY still buy stuff off Diablo 2 for like $2-$50. Diablo isnt a MMO and free to play therefore there gameing population will more than likely exceed WoW's Meaning more people wanting more items to buy and get better to gear up for inferno....Inferno items will be CRAZY Valuable considering the difficulty its going to take to obtain them. So items being devalued to the point of it not being worth it is ignorant at best. On another note one of the guys sorry forgot name said that in essence you can buy a character and all the gear....again main point how do you know he didnt get those drops....he has to join your game your channel you may never see him/her. Other than that SOMEONE has to play through the game and max out that character and get the drops to sell....so someone has to do the work your not gonna see completely decked out level 60's for prolly a good year or 2. And even then its going to be minute compared to whats available. Other focus is what do i do when im 60 and a buy all the gear? Farm gear yourself make $$ and play the other 4 character classes maxing out all 5 for future expansions and "higher level's" New gear and new classes.....the same reason people are STILL playing d2 and d1 ....i dont think im going to make 10,000 bucks a month playing Diablo 3 but im gonna try my damndess(sp?) to try. I know easily ill be able to make bare minimum 300-400 a month. You get free postings so post up some random low level crap SOMEONE will buy to maximize there character and make it easier to level....say we get 10 free postings a week just random low level crap at 50 cents each is like $5 bucks....and how much of that stuff drops in one play through eventually you will have a balance to just keep throwing that stuff up....full Cleat full inventory. People are gonna be able to pay for WoW, pay for other games, pay for grocerys, gas and take big bills out of there equation and im ALL FOR THIS AH and game i cannot wait. Hope to see alot of you in there Contact me here allways gonna be looking for parteners to make some $$ with. Treijhen02@aol.com is my email! Keep Pwning!
Inferno is ok and im very happy with it. I think youll have to progress like the rest, and you will get some nice reward for finishing it...mybe just vanity things, but nice indeed...
I would totaly add a ensless dungeon too, that would be very cool to do with friends...like 1 try per day(or more) trying to beat our own score...sounds realy funny.
The other things sound funny too...but well, i dont feel them so nesesary.
Anyway, if they add things like this it will probably be after expansion or in some big patch...but for now i think they want to see how the base of the game does.
I think that inferno is good enough as it is, i thought there was already random quests and dungeons in each area or was that taken out of the game? because if they are there we would not need a infinite dungeon.
How can they add pandemonium events if they want ppl to farm everything and not just one part of inferno? If they do pandemonium events, that is what people will do, or strive for. Once you have all the best gear in order to do the pandemonium, then you will spam farm the pandemonium for the next "tier." (or yknow charm ;p) My guess is they will add a whole new set of something at one point so we have something new to do, or they will release an expansion where we get more acts perhaps?
Basically, it seems odd that they would add an infinite mode or pandemonium events if they don't want ppl to spam do one thing. The horde mode pvp thing sounds like something they might do, but can we really call this "endgame?" It's as phrozen says in my opinion, none of this is "endgame." But then again is that such a bad thing? Do we really want this game to become WoW? I certainly don't.
P.S. I would bet a ton of money on them doing something similar to the unicorn lvl ;p (maybe double rainbow lvl? o.O)

Well, they could do a keys/organs things again, except have them only have a chance to spawn in the randomly generated areas of each act.
For instance, lets say you need 4 items to make a "pandemonium key." There would be a chance for the mob or whatever you can get the items from to spawn in any one of the randomized locations in each act, then you would have to at least play through each act until you found the item, at which point you could skip ahead to the next.
I think Inferno Mode should be full game content, BUT per players choice. A player should be able to choose a section of an act or dungeon. Once they choose this section they should be able ot select from different options. Horde mode, Timed etc. This would keep the end game very fresh b/c players would be choosing different areas b/c of different builds. Also, it may inspire new build (out of a LOL'd 40Billion/Trillion builds).

Interesting. I like it.
Also, there should be a random option so that the game could pick an area/type randomly, cause you know, diablo=randomization.
Maybe have the random option have SLIGHTLY (on the order of 1%) better drop rates, since you don't know what you're getting in to. With some kind of cooldown before making another random game (so that you can't repeatedly remake until you get OPTIMAL ZONE X +1% drops). The increased drop rate is probably a bad idea, but i'd like some reward to encourage "going in blind."

I prefer Infinite Dungeon.
The only way I'd support unicorn would be if they were all Festering-Undead-Demon hybrid unicorns!

I just don't know how many times does Jay Wilson have to keep on repeating himself before people starts to really listen and get what he has been saying all along.
According to Jay in this interview video, Inferno would really, really be a very hard & difficult level that you'll need to make many more runs in Hell before you are suitably equipped for the task of facing the HORDES OF MONSTERS WHOSE MINIMUM LEVEL IS 61.

They found players found the highest concentration of monsters, and simply ran them.
Seeing this, they found that this did NOT work...
I voted for 4/5 of them, because why wouldn't you?
