So im wondering if they are so unsure about there product, chopping, changing & cutting things from it so often will it be nothing more than a flop? almost 8 years of development with delay after delay, devs telling us not to get to excited for the game, chopping content & framework from the game, i smell a big fail.
You sir are a moron, most games are in development far longer than this game is, they just chose to tell there fans that it was in development at an early stage, and like greedy parents basement dwelling morons, you take that honesty for granted. They are chopping shit from the game because of bitches like you crying and complaining about it all day long. So thy are pushing it quicker so they can get it out sooner. Wich is what makes most games flop talk to the dev's behind final fantasy xiii oh wait i mean final fantasy XIV, yea thats right XIII was the original online title but they pushed it back so the console got XIII and the online got XIV name. But i digress. The fact that people take COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS so literally cause jay wilson said it is moronic. In October you can be counting down the days till christmas ...does it mean its happening within 4 days...no.. Grow up get a life and do something outside your mommies basement for once and the game will be infront of you before you know it :)

posted a message on Thoughts on Diablo 3's expansions?
i think they will end up adding 2-4 classes depending how many they want to add per expansion. In the past there's allways been 1 - 2 chars per expansion. Had Diablo 1 with the monk and the Diablo 1 premade character expansion were you could play as OP Chars like Ares god of war. Diablo 2 released the druid and assassin as extra classes. Extra acts is a safe bet. They may add new tiers of armor, new gems new rune stones. Etc etc etc. I just hope they keep the game going for awhile. Cause honestly Diablo is one game that can never even come close to dieing i bet you right now theres still millions playing d2. and Prolly a few million playing d1 still. This is just gonna be another addition to hugely long lasting online games franchise :)

why would they lose any players if they didnt patch PVE? that makes absolutely no sense. just as many people will use the RMAH regardless of balancing in PVE, "he kills monsters slightly faster then me QQ" is not an incentive for blizzard to nerf a class or build or for someone to quit D3 unless their... 7 years old? lol. like i said, if it was SUPER OP then yes they most likely will and SHOULD patch it, but one class or build being a bit better then the rest isn't going to make them start nerfing skills like in wow. and i never said jay said it should be imbalanced, but a weird build could turn out to be the most OP in the game, and he's not going to take that away from someone, because someone else complained. and there will be ALOT less complaining because you can only play with 3 people, and your not sitting there paying attention to exactly how fast someone is killing things enough to go start spamming the forums to get it nerf'd, and if you saw that someone was really good, and you asked their build then you would use it also, not QQ. there pushing d3 to be super co op, and work together, not constantly bash on each other and get everyone nerfed till everyone hates the game haha. so again, no reason to patch anything. so doubtful there will be any nerfing, just patching extra content and quests. and very slight deviations to skills

They lost players because of imbalanced classes in WoW... so why wont they in Diablo? You just dismiss this with a "lol why would they"... what a solid argument. Your whole argumentation is based on assumptions that you take as "fakts", people will post their builds, if the build is imbalanced not all players will say "hell I'll use it too"... there will allways be players that start to complain because its imbalanced. And when you say that the weird build "is the most OP" then its clearly not "slightly" better (the word OP =/= slightly)... and if that happens they will nerf it, believe it or not. They will take away your super unique weirdo build. And you assume that playing with 3 people leads to "ALOT less" complaining why would that be? Do you belive people wont post their builds on forums? Or that other players wont come to create the same weird build? Thats just illusorily. And Diablo being a co-op game doesnt change shit, WoW is a MMO... you have to play with many players to achiev the best gear (4-24 other player...) and people still complain about other classes/speccs being imba. They maybe use the same build, but they will still complain because the game lacks diffrent viable builds.

Edit: And saying that people that complain (complain =/= "QQ") and ultimately draw the consequences are 7 years old (i.e. kids) shows that you are not capable of making solid arguments... thats just rude. Adding lol to that statement doesnt make it any better btw.

Edit2: And you should also assume that the other players are looking very close who kills things faster, people like to complain if the thing they play isnt the best thing (thats human nature for you).

Edit3: You should also note that calling people trolls because they dont agree with your point of view on the WD is not a nice way to argument with anyone. I dont know if my english is lacking and I dont understand your points but you always sound like you are latently calling people stupid because they dont agree with you...

im not for or against this post im just saying i see what hes talking about. First off you will only be playing with 3 other people at a time and may never see them again. The main reason people complain about OP'ness is dmg meters, and Stealing kills or doing things quicker. For one in diablo 3 you can have a whole run through the game to yourself noone else can intercede or come in its just like an instanced dungeon. So in general NOONE can step on your toes wich is how most people complain about someone being OP. Less chance of you running into the same guy again and again unless you make friends with him/her. And then why would you care? Cause your friend is OP and there your friend. In general i dont see people complaining about OPness unless its in PVP and PVP doesnt matter there's no actual ladder for it so why bother complaining over something that doesnt matter. Be like me complaining about walking and because the guy next to me is 2 inches taller his stride is longer and he will get home 3 seconds before me ....it doesnt matter. ;)

i honestly think if you gear for it in hell all classes wont be 1-4 shotted. But i really agree with the witch doctor being able to make them fight eachother cause if they hit that hard and there hitting eachother while your pets and you also dmg them and explode on them can make for some nice AE clearing. IM also gonna go with the demon hunter myself because they have the ability to get away from mobs quickly without being hit and snare the crap out of them while dmg'n them. Mob can 1 shot me but if it can never get in striking range its screwed. Demon Hunter also has alot of AE attacks and isnt limited by mana if Demon Hunter runs out of there "mana" they can still pump dmg with double cross bows while the mobs still snared. And this is also not figureing what rune combinations will enhance the DH's skills or the WD's or any other class for that matter. I for one am going to use them all will prolly start with a barb or a DH. Witch Doctors urk me :/.

why do they urk you? I'm definitely picking WD first, then maybe DH second.

i dont know i dont like the whole hoodoo voodoo look for a character looks lame to me, dislike the pets for the most part too...*Shrug* Rather have a Necro or Druid type.

If speaking out doesn't change the company, it still has a better impact than remaining silent. I don't want all future games to apply this model and to kill offline, game freedom, and modding. So there's no way I'd shut up about it.

I have no problem with you voicing your opinion but even this small poll puts you in a small minority. I just don't see how Blizzard could considering upping their sales by 5% at a cost of losing possibly that same percent, maybe less though it would be worth mentioning that games are pirated in the millions when possible.

Now I know it may also be worth noting that if people like the game they may go and purchase a legitimate copy but most businesses don't agree with this model. In the end your point is valid and accepted but I think no matter how vocal you are their business model likely doesn't see a great rise in sales because of it.
I could care less about their sales, though. Good developpers promote their games and what their customers can do above their profit. But I'm not trying to get into that silly "but its a business" argument since the entire problem I have with this is based on the fact that they indeed ARE a business and act like most business. I mean, who cares if they lose a small percentage of profit at worse for making all their customers happy? But apparently, its insane to think companies care about you. They only care about profit. And that is assuming it would cause a loss.

Also, I really don't think the percentage of people is as low as a fan forum where people just love Blizzard would dictate. Thats just the nature of those forums.

again like most people who complain about subjects your doing so online, therefore you wont have an issue and can still play said game and probably still will regardless of what you write / type here. The people who dont have internet and cannot play this game ARE A SmALL MINORITY based in small mountain hick towns that have shit internet. Move.....find a local library/coffee shop that you can connect to. Not hard. "Deal with it groups" are right. Dont like it find another offline game to play Heroes of Might and Magic 6 comes out in September, Elderscrolls 5 Skyrim in November, and Plethora of other games to keep your time if your so adamantaly going to play offline. Also just like they have made WoW closed servers for Vanilla gameplay i gaurantee there will be illegal closed servers of offline Diablo 3....have a nice day ....and go slit your wrists or something if this really causes such a huge problem for you. You obviously spend alot of time on the internet anyways so its not a big deal. Go to your little hippy hang out smoke your ganja and talk with all your artsy friends about how cool you are and how your REBELING against THE MAN!!!! lol cause thats exactly who you remind me of....some punk kid who wasted there parents college fund on ART school and did nothing with there life, and works in a bank making $10 bucks an hour like my friend josh who also thinks hes 100% right about everything and sticking it to THE MAN ....

Unless "you are sheep," is a valid explanation, ofc.
fanboy == sheep , so to anyone that is overly positive about EVERY decision that blizzard makes, its kind of a given. To that effect, you are a sheep. I've yet to seen you complain about a single feature/change announced about the game thus far.

Is there *anything* you have seen that you don't like so far? And this is a serious question, as I'm already expecting you to type something that you think is witty like "I don't like having to read posts from people like you because of the changes". And to not be a hypocrite, things I'm looking forward to: Runeword system changed, Skill system looks like a good change of pace (especially if hotswapping skills is viable mid-combat). Feel free to post a link to another thread/blog/profile if you already addressed this question elsewhere and don't wanna clog this thread. Sheep.

just because someone likes all the decisions and they feed into the way they want to play the game, and they find nothing wrong with it doesnt mean they are fanboys and or sheep. Just means blizzard hit there target players in these people....its business...if your a business man are you gonna make a product geared to grab 5% of a community or you gonna gear it towards the 95%? No brainer.

I've played games online since 1996, maybe earlier. The fact that Diablo 3 requires i be online really means nothing to me. It's just another PC game related witch hunt that'll end as soon as D3 releases, or shortly after.

I'm sure the hitler videos will come out, the online petitions, the huge threads about the online component (all of which by the way are online only), but in the end, this too shall pass.

There is a vocal minority for everything online and blizzard titles tend to draw a wider assortment of players than most. It's no suprise then, we get mega-threads over things as insignificant as "which pvp mode do you like?" and "online only," which in practice won't effect the gameplay of the vast majority one iota.

I honestly don't understand what motivates people to rage about such trivial issues, but you can rest assured someone will make even the smallest mole-hill into everest.

in general i think people rage over it to pass the time till the game releases...it annoys them or it doesnt annoy them and they want to troll just to see how big they can push the thread and sit down in bordum and read all the comments and opinions to make the days go by quicker till there treasured game comes out ;)

I'd like an offline mode as an option, where you could not use those characters in the real game.

Will it effect me? No. When do I not have internet? Only when I'm on the road. So I really don't care, and it won't bother me. That said, I do not see why an offline-only mode is a problem. I wouldn't use it, but I'm sure somebody would.

it all stems from blizz protecting the real $ AH, if there was an offline mode hackers would dupe stuff and eventually bring it to the online mode regardless of security they put in place *not to allow offline to go online* Then they would make thousands a month off dupeing....eliminating the offline mode completely prevents this.

For me personally I wont get affected that much since I have a pretty stable internet connection and don't have any boring work related traveling to do. That's the two times I would like to play offline, when I simple don't have my internet connection at hand.

If I wan't to play single player, I can just make my own private game and play alone all the time, it will be exactly the same thing as single player in D2 (provided I have a good internet connection).

However I know that some (not many) have very bad and unstable connections because of where they live, there is little to none they can do about it. If I had a connection that went down several times a day and a ping that was really high, I think I would have played offline instead, but this won't be possible.

Also if you made one strictly offline and one strictly online mode with a huge disclaimer saying its impossible to move anything between the two(as suggested before). I think (I have very little knowledge how a hacker works when trying to hack a game like D3) that it wouldn't be a problem, after all I have heard about Battle Net 2.0 it will be very hard to hack the online mode characters/items. The offline mode on the other hand will probably be teared to pieces, but that doesn't effect anyone, provided that the information gather from that isn't the deciding factor that makes them crack Bnet 2.0. And as I said I think that it wont be, but what do I know, can someone with insight comment on the risk of hacking Bnet 2.0 with versus without having access to the offline mode. Of course it will be higher with the offline mode, but will it be high enough for it to happen. I guess blizzard thinks so?

    edit: quoted by mistake

Bashiok said this on D3 forums:

    Official Blizzard Quote:

In addition to all the other benefits that we believe ultimately come from having everyone online such as an active, centralized community, a popular arena system, accessible character storage, etc. etc. Diablo III is built on a client/server architecture, which means not all the data for the game or mechanics reside on the client (your computer).

This is not too unlike World of Warcraft where the world itself, the art, the sounds, etc. are on your machine, but all of the NPC’s and enemies are controlled by the server. Diablo III doesn’t function in all of the exact same ways, but things like monster randomization, dungeon randomization, item drops, the outcomes of combat, among others, are all handled and verified by the client talking to the server, and vice versa.

We’ve learned a lot from this type of architecture from World of Warcraft, and the added security and oversight it provides. It allows a great deal of control over the game at all times for all players, so if we know there’s an issue or bug we can usually address it right then and there through a live hotfix. Hotfixes can’t be used for everything, we’re still going to have client patches, but we’re definitely looking forward to being able to deliver a consistently high quality experience to all players simultaneously through processes like hotfixes.

In addition there are some pretty intense security concerns. While there’s never a fool proof solution to stopping hack and cheats, we’ve found that a strict client/server architecture is a huge barrier for their development and use.

Ultimately we made the decision to make the game client/server based because of the security and quality it can provide to those playing, and as a bonus it reinforces a lot of our ideals for a thriving online community.

So I guess they are doing it for security reasons, but I also get the feeling that they skip offline because it will provide a whole lot extra work since they say allot of the things that happens in the game only happens on the server and never locally. So If they wanted to make a "offline client", it would have to be allot more advanced then the client we use for online play. Skipping this "offline client" probably makes D3 come sooner then with it, I guess that's a good thing!

it's a security thing so the $AH isnt taken advantage of. If there was an offline client hackers would eventually find a way to bring those chars on line and make like 10,000 a month (not saying that this still isnt a possible ammount of money to make cause it all depends on the market) But it'd be easier and rediculous if dupeing and hacking were involved.

posted a message on DiabloCast: Episode XXII - Be Your Own Demon
i just wanna touch to the pod casters about a few things ive heard in the last 3 episodes....End game is end game there doesnt have to be a unique BOSS to kill (considering you kill them all throughout diablo anyways) End game simply means maxing out your characters stats and getting the best gear. People to THIS DAY still buy stuff off Diablo 2 for like $2-$50. Diablo isnt a MMO and free to play therefore there gameing population will more than likely exceed WoW's Meaning more people wanting more items to buy and get better to gear up for inferno....Inferno items will be CRAZY Valuable considering the difficulty its going to take to obtain them. So items being devalued to the point of it not being worth it is ignorant at best. On another note one of the guys sorry forgot name said that in essence you can buy a character and all the gear....again main point how do you know he didnt get those drops....he has to join your game your channel you may never see him/her. Other than that SOMEONE has to play through the game and max out that character and get the drops to sell....so someone has to do the work your not gonna see completely decked out level 60's for prolly a good year or 2. And even then its going to be minute compared to whats available. Other focus is what do i do when im 60 and a buy all the gear? Farm gear yourself make $$ and play the other 4 character classes maxing out all 5 for future expansions and "higher level's" New gear and new classes.....the same reason people are STILL playing d2 and d1 ....i dont think im going to make 10,000 bucks a month playing Diablo 3 but im gonna try my damndess(sp?) to try. I know easily ill be able to make bare minimum 300-400 a month. You get free postings so post up some random low level crap SOMEONE will buy to maximize there character and make it easier to level....say we get 10 free postings a week just random low level crap at 50 cents each is like $5 bucks....and how much of that stuff drops in one play through eventually you will have a balance to just keep throwing that stuff up....full Cleat full inventory. People are gonna be able to pay for WoW, pay for other games, pay for grocerys, gas and take big bills out of there equation and im ALL FOR THIS AH and game i cannot wait. :) Hope to see alot of you in there Contact me here allways gonna be looking for parteners to make some $$ with. Treijhen02@aol.com is my email! Keep Pwning!
