Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!
"It took a good day of calls and emails, but Blizzard just got back to us about the rumor floating around that Starcraft 2 will be announced next month during their World Wide Invitation in Seoul, South Korea.
According to a Korean website, StarCraft 2 is being developed in 3D with a new race and lots of changes for existing units. The site went on to say that additional details would be revealed during Blizzard's WWI on May 19th in Seoul.
When reached for comment today this was Blizzard's official response:
We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more. Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present.
So that's a yes on a StarCraft 2, eventually, and a yes to a product announcement next month. The only question now is are they one in the same. " -Brian Crecente, from Kotaku.
So what do you guys think? A lot of people still believe it's gonna be Starcraft (which would be fine too because, honestly, who wouldn't love to see that game revisited just as much as Diablo?) but after a statement like that, I'm thinking it's gonna either be an announcement for Diablo 3 or a completely new Blizzard title. If it's not a Diablo or Starcraft game, I'm putting my money on TacoCraft.
Alright, let the speculation begin! May 19th simply cannot come soon enough.

Well you shit out of luck buddy. =)
Because you fail to look the actull topic. (product development??? Lol)
Man, I feel bad for this guy....
I normaly wouldnt use you but...
1. a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.
2. something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture: His flashy car was a lie that deceived no one.
3. an inaccurate or false statement.
4. the charge or accusation of lying: He flung the lie back at his accusers.
–verb (used without object)
5. to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly, as with intent to deceive.
6. to express what is false; convey a false impression.
–verb (used with object)
7. to bring about or affect by lying (often used reflexively): to lie oneself out of a difficulty; accustomed to lying his way out of difficulties.
I won't read something this foolish, but did you see the "For Example" part of my post. that may help you..
Yeah, I should know better than to point out how much sense you don't make. My bad.
That proves that the topic is the approach of a new product. Not whether or not you can trust Blizzard. And either way, it doesn't change anything. People will buy the product, all the same.
Good job, you can read. Now how does that prove your point? The issue is that you're saying that they lied in a way that did not omit any relevant details, which contradicts the definition of a "lie". Nor did their press release contradict any details. If Starcraft is the new product, its announcement is still in the future, which means they didn't contradict themselves, which makes you all-the-more wrong.
And you're right. You wouldn't normally use me. Because, that would imply that you have some advantage over me. But since you don't, you have nothing to feel sorry about, except for how stupid you made yourself look.
You're ignorant as hell. He did that in order to prove that your analogy doesn't work. But if you're going to say that your example isn't important, then don't bring it up. It just gives you one more thing to be wrong about.
Man you should stop now. I don't know if you sound more like a woman or a 4 year old throwing a tantrum.
For your own good. I can tell, you make it too personal.. you got alot of heart kid, and Ill give ya that.
But im the kind of guy that doesn't deal with fighting words or fighting in itself, I'll just kill ya.
I respect how you feel. But this isn't about how you feel as much as you hate it. Sorry
-Gyrextt
Now, is there anyone else who wants to make a stupid comment?
Point proven.
Everybody has their opinion, haveing a direct link/association to your points is imperative because as you can see, I was just brought down a long road which accomplished nothing, which iv'e seen a few times on this topic.
All that was achieved... my time and yours wasted. Lets try to stay on topic, and stay away from how we feel personaly and support our claims with substancial information.
And my point still stands. It's a valid analogy. Plain and simple....
Telling me you have nothing new to announce about starcraft, and announcing it at the event. would translate into a lie.
Now if you have something to say that doesn't involve your feelings/fantasys whatever.. that means soemthing to everybody... go ahead..
Mainly, I don't see Blizzard, lieing, or coming off as incompetent. =)
What they are saying is this:
So in other words, yes there will be another Starcraft game, BUT not at present.
So the Future could be Korea, it could also be 2 years, or even 10, but they will make another Starcraft game in the future.
I mean they could have SC 2 in development right now, but they might not like it and scrap it, and do it again from the beginning. so in other words NOTHING NEW AT PRESENT.
Anyway, i still think it could be D3, its a 50/50 slice on my table, hope for D3, wouldn't mind a SC2, just need a new game NON WARCRAFT related.
11 days to go and decreasing...
Okay, you proved that I enjoy insulting people. Doesn't matter when I'm still right. You haven't even denied it at this point. If I was a prosecutor, presenting a video of you murdering people, as part of a case to convict you for it, and I called you a cantankerous douchebag, that doesn't change the fact that you murdered people. Now, go ahead and challenge that analogy.
Then defend it. Speaking of people who don't use substantial evidence to prove their points, where's yours? We just countered your analogy. Yet you don't defend it and still claim it's valid. As far as everyone else is concerned, that means there's no reason to believe you.
You have a terrible comprehension of tenses. Present and future are different. Nothing about Starcraft at present. But possibly something about Starcraft in the future. Enough said. Stop ignoring the blatantly obvious.
...What? You don't even support your main argument anymore? The argument that, one sentence ago, you were failingly attempting to defend? You've got nothing else to say. You've been proven wrong. Starcraft is still on the list of possible products. Blizzard wouldn't lie if Starcraft was the new product and you're done. Go to bed.
By the way, how can a person have a perspective on an issue if they don't use their personal feelings? That's rhetorical (that means don't respond). Think about it.
I never had an argument. I'm not taking sides.
Just stating a point in your common everyday view, so can be seen at another angle. Nothing more..
personaly i would have D3 at the moment, but i would be just as happy with SC2, D3 would be a horrible horrible MMO, SC2 however might make a decent MMO, but definatly a better RTS, also SC2 either MMO or RTS has a much better chance of being announced in Korea, because if it isnt May 19th will be a day of death in Korea for the blizzard developers in Korea.:( and blizzard better not do anything w/ WoW or SC and Diablo fans world-wide will be pissed to no end DOWN WITH WARCRAP!!!, the only other option would be the aforementioned Tacocraft which might be a promising billion dollar franchise throught America and Mexico;)
Very true,
But this isn't about game deveopment time frames...
This is about the statement made by Blizzard.
Somthing that has been said....
Not something that you can predict is going on, but cannot point out specifics...
But it is a very good point.
you said Blizzard lied. We know that's not true. That means you took a side. You argued against Starcraft being the new possible product. That's taking a side. Not only that, but you ended your argument by directly contradicting yourself. That's not playing devil's advocate. That's being ignorant.
Within my example, If the announcement was starcraft, their false accusations would be translated into a lie. It really doesn't mean all that much to me, see it how you want to see it. You decided to disagree with it, strongly. I never agreed with it or disagreed with it in the first place.
Again, you do see your just arguing with yourself.
Lets get back on the subject and stop your kid games.
Whether Blizzard lies or not is not up for question (Period)
=).. Thanks for input. Very helpfull.
You look like your balls haven't even dropped, you would start shaking and stuttering in any kind of argument in person.
You should of never shown that picture, you're fucking pitiful, you look emaciated and have never seen the sun.
Don't forget to kill yourself!
WHAT THE F***. What do you mean by false accusataions? Blizzard didn't accuse anything. What's ur problem.
Technically, Blizzard never fucking lied. They never said that Starcraft was coming out on May 19th. They just said they didn't have anything at that moment. Therefore, announcing it on May 19th would not be a lie as they never said that they wouldn't be announcing it on May 19th. May 19th is in the future man, im sorry, it must be a hard blow to realize that you are not on the same timeline as the rest of humanity. Im sorry once again.
That's not Blizzard's fault. That's the reader's fault for having poor reading comprehension.
And yet you don't deny any of the statements I have made that prove that you're simply contradicting yourself.
We were on the topic you dumbass. Notice how we're still talking about the announcement that you claimed was a lie.
Then don't bother questioning it. If your argument was a meal, I'd tell the waiter to send it back. Because it looks like shit.
I take it you've given up trying to defend your point. You didn't last long at all. Nice insults, by the way. It really pertains to the subject matter.
But seriously, if you want to continue to talk here, you should stick to being realistic.
Defend my point? I saw no reason to defend myself, I know I'm right, why should I debate something I already know?
So instead I personally insult you, which I'm sure you've taken to heart, I'll enjoy your response to this.
I'm right about you, I'm right about WoW, I'm pretty much right about everything.
