The value is soooooo not worth 40 bucks to me. Absolutely not for what you're getting. Absolutely not.
40 fucking dollars for 1 fucking act? Are you fucking kidding my balls?
LoD was IIRC, 30-35 for ONE act as you put it. If you're looking at this from "OMG only 1 Act!" perspective you are clearly missing the point. Very few developers bother to make xpacks these days and Blizz is STILL one of the best at xpacks because they cram a ton of features in for the money. Yes, 1 Act. But also 1 new character, adventure mode, return of the Mystic, level cap increase, Nephalem Rifts, Transmog, etc.
Seems a worthwhile 40 to me personally.
A little bit expensive, but considering the amount of value I got out of LOD I see it as a less painful form of DLC. You could buy 20 DLC packs from other games and not get the same amount of value you will get from one D3 expansion, plus support and development will still continue long after. There are more deserving companies that need your hatred.
" three additional character slots to accommodate new heroes;"
and regular version gets what? the joy of deleting a lvl 60 if we want to play a crusader? what a giant fuck you give us money to fans of the game. Is Blizzard turning into EA?
Followed D3 religiously from its announcement and bought the collector's edition for vanilla without a second thought.
Now I don't even want to buy the expac until I see the reviews. Money has no bearing for me, but my disgrace in what D3 has become is.
People can do whatever the hell they want with their own money, but as for me. I'm gonna hold off for the reviews and ladder.
By what I currently see in RoS, it isn't worth the $40 to me and definitely not the€40 ($54.54) if I was in Europe.
I don't understand why people are surprised about the EU price. It's always been like that. We always get fucked over when it comes to product pricing. Not only that, we as people who play D3 are getting constantly fucked over by crappy decisions that Blizzard make i.e additional slots with the DDE?
But still, i am going to buy their game because it interests me too much and i just can't give up on it. Besides when i think about it, going out for one weekend, i spend a lot more than 55$ so yeah, fuck it.
Collectors Edition on Amazon. Just pre-ordered it

And by the way, I was delighted to see that the $A pricing for Australian customers was a 100% fair direct conversion of the $US price - I was bummed when this wasn't the case for the original D3 release, so nice to see that corrected. I'm sorry to hear that Euro customers are getting screwed but the Aussie price is $A44.95 which converts to $US40.10 at the moment.
Bought Standard Edition, can't wait for March 25!
It's hilarious, Really. all you people bitching about extra slots, Slots you probably wouldn't even use but hey lucky for me i know your kind just try digging up any old rehashed invalid reason to try and dirt stain a good game. I swear half you folks have to be them types of people that just never leave you house, Don't work and let family do everything for you. Let me tell you how the world works.
The people that have more money and spend more money normally have nicer and better stuff. its the same for this game..if you bitching because of the price, I have some pretty fucking amazing news for you. DON'T BUY IT. STFU and move on to the next game your probably going to bitch about because you cant be happy. or mabye, just mabye you could get a job and stop leeching you could affoid the CE like me
Fuck all you hates, die in a hole alone.
By the way, it's spelled "maybe".
