i assume that by trading you mean item for an item... Well the problem is that people will create a currency out of gem, runes, rings, whatever. It is not a sollution, it's a downgrade. "people had no problems trading" yeah right... The AH just streamlines this whole trading experience. Or atleast it should be as so. The problem is that many events happened during the first year of the game that messed up the economy pretty bad. Still, it's a lot better than spamming trade channels. Get over it, this is not the year 2000 anymore. This crap won't work. Maybe it bothers you that everything today has to be streamlined and officially implemented, but it makes the lives of a million other people a lot easier. Do you think that i have time to spamm trade channels when i'm off from work? I barely have time to do like one act 1 run... So please stop with this nostalgic bullshit. You only think it was good because you were a lot younger back then. If the same systems from d2 would have been implemented in d3 it would have been a total mess.
I assume that what you are telling me is: You are willing to pay for convenience, whether with a credit card, or with your time. But time is clearly something you don't have. Now before you get all upset, think about it. You can't play much because of work, yet, you want an auction house to make it more "convenient". How are you supposed to grind the gold to use this auction house? With what time? Pray for a lucky drop? Pray it rolls good? Pray there's not 15000 of them on the AH for far less than it's worth because its .5 crit chance off? Have you ever stopped to consider they have now raised the amount of gold you can sell in the AH 3 times? You know what that does, yes? It makes the value go down. IE: Ever increasing inflation, Eventually they're going to remove the cap in the Gold AH,,,, Guess what that's going to do? How's farming all that gold you need for those items gonna happen with your responsibilities? From your credit card. How's that nostalgia sound now?

You're talking about 5 different things in one single conversation. I see several points you're debating: 1) BoA 2) Gold vs. gems/runes as currency 3) Credit card warriors 4) The AH as a helpful tool for players vs. the AH as a tool for Blizzard to make profit 5) Different perceptions about D2's trading.
Maybe before you continue, you pick one topic, otherwise it'll be hilarious but not really going anywhere ;-)

My dearest reader, I think my last response was directed exactly as it should have been, If you can't keep up, there's always the pony level.

Will never really know but they may have used my idea to add random weather/environmental effects to arenas and short-play content. I posted it in a PvP post a while back. I just wished they used the PvP ideas as well

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...

Totally forgot, there is also a new gem: "Diamond" and if I remember correctly from my mind it has at least "+ to all resis" on something, not sure anymore what the other were, will try to get the details tomorrow.
Just thought I'd highlight this as an example of the fact that, clearly, the news that broke this week is only the tip of the iceberg.
Sounds like we're going to see an idea similar to what I suggested for item achievements in "Loot 2.0, discovering its true potential". In order to use an items appearance for transmogrification you will need to unlock that item by finding it first.
It also sounds like Loot Runs are a very similar concept as proposed here http://www.diablofan...review-a-dream/ . They even mention the random elite/champion/boss at the end of them, the random tile sets, mobs, etc. The only thing they don't mention is how we get access to them, maybe new drops from the purple named monsters?

That's a great way to implement the feature and incentivize people searching for those legendaries. I wonder how that would work with Vanilla Legendaries/items.
Thanks for the info, the suggestions and the awesome contribution to the community and the game.
