Heh. Yeah I know your military score is still higher than mine. But I'm not trying to outnumber you right now. I just like increasing my military whenever I can afford to. I've been doing a bit of Town Hall upgrading lately so it's allowed me to build more troops.

Get glass next Kenzai, then go for another wine, then another marble. Don't underestimate the power of glass, I'm already half way through my research of eco future.

It won't matter. We're a peaceful clan and have had little problems so far. I really doubt you'll be illaged due to being in an alliance with us.

Doppel you're in a pretty good position now to start pillaging those inactive players near you if you haven't already.

I've held grudges against players for weeks at a time, only to gradually build up what I needed to successfully pillage them back.

But sometimes, I was just pillaged because it was a new player wanting to see how the function worked and I just happened to be the one he chose to pillage so I didn't really hold it against him as long as he responded to my message about it.

I suppose once Killer gets back on, he'll accept you into the alliance. Then you're far less likely to be pillaged from that point on.

It isn't me that accept people into the alliance, that'd be ferret, but he'll do so whenever he checks. =)

And Doppel, I'd say continue with invention and afetrwards get "ink". It'll boost research rate.

Also, since you have expansion, build yourself a palace and get a colony up and running.

By the way Dop, you can change your town's anme if you go to your town hall and click "rename"

Kenzai, what Ferret Siay and I do is to build up resoruces and upgrade all our GR's first, then the palace, THEN make the new settlement, to avoid all corruption (aside from the newest colony).

Pillaging will always yield way more gold than resources. I think the most I've ever gotten from a pillage in resources was around 3000. And that's pretty dang high. But it was rare too.

At least though with GR upgrades, you get points added to your overall score with each one.

I may take a break from expanding as well once I get my 6th colony.

And Kenzai, donations do help a lot, but I prefer to only donate if the wonder is either:
-Hephaisto's forge
-Athena
-Gaia
-Dionysius

On my marble island, I get two times the marble production (or 1 marble per worker, instead of 0.5 per worker) for an infinite amount of time because my neighbours and myself always donate money to it. And its the same for my wine island (where Ib have two colonies on it).

If you're a war mongrer (unlike Ferreto), then there are some other monuments you may want to look into.

No one on any of my islands donate to the wonder. So unless I had everyone pooling together to reach the amount of gold needed to activate the wonder, there is no purpose in donating. I wish we could do it though. I'd like to see its affects.

Heh, yeah. Like I said, warfare is pretty interesting in Ikariam. Not just pillaging, but how you choose to redistribute the gold you receive.

As far as increasing resources gained from a pillage, there's really no way to do that. As Ferret taught me once, the higher your Trading Port level is, the more an invading army can loot from your town. And there's really no way to sneak into someone's town and upgrade their Trading Port.

It all kind of makes me wish they'd bring back the occupation feature. It would be nice to just occupy inactive players. That way, players can actually fight each other over who occupies the inactive town. That would be really fun I think.

Hey guys, I just thought I'd bring up Cultural Treaties. They're awesome. And they're free pending on the level of your Museum. As of now, I only have treaties with Killer and Ferret. I'd like to get a treaty going with the rest of you as well.

There are *some* weird parts to the treaties, but not much to worry about, and you'll discover it in time, young Kenzai.

And Magnum, I know you aren't, I gave that position to Ferret, since you restarted. But if you have an embassy and are ready, send your app at anytime, mate. And its okay, Ferret, Siay, kenz and I can help you through it all.
