But remember, ads drive this site. The Diablo3.com site isn't there to make money, but simply to inform people about a game and to make hype for a game that is going to make the money, thus the ads revenue means nothing. Then the net worth. Both sites are here for the same game, that is true. But each site has it's own agenda. Diablofans.com is a gathering place, while Diablo3.com in an information center. Diablo3.com is simply to increase hype and Diablofans.com is here because of hype, thus Diablofans.com is dependant on the very thing Diablo3.com is doing. Without hype and without the information getting out, whether it be from Diablo3.com or those that own Diablo3.com, Diablofans.com sinks. Thus Diablofans is dependant while Diablo3.com is not.
I don't think I said that very well so simply put, I think the numbers are missleading.
I was kinda thinking on the fact that it was bought up by a major company that the value would've went up and be higher than DiabloFans.com, but I guess it's more like what site is used/utilzed more?

I'm kinda wondering why you're not a mod..

Watching 240 guys talk trash about cavaliers is like two retards having a slapfight over a sippy cup.
Yea. Actually if we kept Diablo3.com and they made DiabloIII.com, then the numbers for Diablofans.com would be under Diablo3.com and the numbers for Diablo3.com would be under DiabloIII.com.
(Off topic: I'm not a mod because I'm a complete asshole. I do appreciate that someone thinks I should be a mod though, but it's not ever gonna happen. They hate me too much. Lol.)

We are a forum here, you can interact with the site. diablo3.com as it stands is essentually a wall of text you cannot change. You have no impact on it. You view the info then leave, here you view that same info but offer an opinion on it.
I was kinda thinking on the fact that it was bought up by a major company.....
If I understand the situation correctly, no money was exchanged, thus it was not bought.
In order to gain something must be lost. But the reverse is also true. If you lose something you gain something in return.
In exchange for our former domain we have strengthened a relationship with Blizzard, unlike most fan sites, we are one of the few who can call ourselves "official". While primarily this means little to the majority of this site, it does afford those that keep this place in check a few extra perks now and then. It is true we have seen little from Blizzard. But I must say, the link to this place from their site worked to the utmost. Traffic was at an all time high during the period in which the link was present on diablo3.com.
Oh and that will not stop me from believing in the principle of equivalent exchange.
I'm kinda wondering why you're not a mod..
It is our policy to elect mods who are deserving of the role. a keen knowledge of things, is but one part of a whole package in which we are looking for. I do not doubt LinkX's knowledge as he so expertly displayed earlier. However, as I said earlier, that will only get you so far. Experience is a must too, and Judgment, and often the ability to remain impartial. but I seem to be sliding off topic.
yeah, ads, or something.
Ads help alot, I do not see too many ads on blizzard sites, other than the ones for their own products, which I do not really count. It's not like that annoying Dragon Wars ad we had for a while, stupid dragon head filling up my screen when you accidentally moused over it.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
This is a forum, hence you get more frequent visitors. Diablo3.com isn't a forum, hence it's worth less. That just bases the "net worth" of a site based on the activity it gets.
As LinkX already pointed out, it has nothing to do with the actual name here. If, say, Diablo 3 had been announced and Blizzard had not taken hold of diablo3.com and we had sitll possessed it, we would most likely have gotten more visitors.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Now use that site for http://www.websiteoutlook.com/www.worldofwarcraft.com you'll see their worth, hehe. The traffic meter is interesting, went up after BlizzCon. Wonder how it'll be once they release the new expansion and return customers log back in once again to subscribe.

I wonder, how many of the ads on this site are paid by Blizzard. It seems like most of them are for WOW. I don't remember ever seeing ads on the D3 site, except that the whole site is pretty much an ad for D3...
