Well guys, time for things to come back to normal. Newbies will leave, the 1 post wonders and the short-term spammers will now get tired of waiting for 2 weeks and go back to what they usually do.
How frustrating is it to see a bunch of newbies bitch about how unfair this is, and how long they've waited, when they haven't really spent alot of time waiting for it? True, we all may love the game, and we've all waited since the release of the expansion. But I've got to believe that us forum veterans and even the newer users that came to Diablo3.com on a normal basis have waited way longer and harder than the rest.
And we'll keep waiting. These jerk-offs will leave, angry in their hissy-fits and after a couple posts, and not pay attention to diablo 3 news unless they hear about it again in a random game, or the occasional glance at the site.
I've got to think this community is tough to go through so much and still keep going. Many ups and downs here, and we forge on. Many come, many leave, and even the older users fall from grace, yet we fight.
This thread is more a tribute to those who have endured with us, and those who will stay to endure much more. The time is near. Stay strong. Hold your ground. And a round of drinks on me.
*Raises mug full of beer into the air high over his head*
How do YOU know they haven't been waiting as long? Not on this site, maybe, but they could still be waiting just as long as us...
Arrogance? I said they technically waited as long as we have. However credit goes to those who think about it while they wait, and not to those who don't really put alot of thought into it while they wait.
And if they waited as long as we have, the same way we have, wouldn't they have joined the community that is waiting for it? To be honest, I didn't think as much about it before I joined this community. And now I think of it every day when I log onto here. My logic is flawless, and you're just taking a shot at me.
How frustrating is it by the way when I'm trying to rally the forum to stay strong, and someone's already trying to knock me down?
You're rallying the forum? Not really. I don't think anyone left the forum because you left, sorry. I said you were arrogant for other reasons then you thought.
Maybe they wouldn't have wanted to join the community? Maybe they hated forums? Maybe then never googled diablo3.com. By the way, we were talking about how long they were waiting, not whether or not they joined this site, correct?

sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way."
Personally, I think that there are newbs and noobs. The newbs can stay because they're interesting and don't have their head stuck in the ground. The noobs can go play in traffic. People like Spanish bard give interesting points and make the forums better. Then there's people like fbim.
These 1 posters have started where we all started. They have the potential to rally more dedicated people to the site. I have no problem with them staying. They know about as much as we do - which isn't a whole lot.
@Num - OMG you live in BC! I need to know where in BC
@Tehstickle - Anything you say doesn't count and/or matter. Sorry.
@World - I don't give a shit if they stayed or not. I seriously don't think anyone TRULY does. It doesn't affect (effect?) anyone in ANY way. I don't think I ever argued against that point anyways.

You're so stupid you don't even know what I'm talking about. STFU and read the goddamn post before you comment idiot. No one mentioned my leaving, or my returning. Jesus fucking christ. You're taking shots at me, and you don't even know what the fuck is going on.
@Carloseus - Whoa there Carlo. I just pointed out the leaving thing to show you that you not being here made a difference... yet you think you do make a difference here. I don't really think so, I have not seen it and I truly doubt you do, but if so, my bad
@Tehstickle - Oh, I'm sorry. What are you going to do? Find out where I live and rape me? Oh, please do.

I agree with Carlo on this. I was wondering whether or not all these 'noobs' (I really don't like using that term) would stay after the announcement was done or not. I figured that if it was something bigger than this, more newer emmbers would have stayed. But with this news? Most probably won't understand the significance and just leave in a hissyfit.
Personally, I was a bit dissapointed, and think it shouldn't have been given so much hype. The countdown was a nice touch, but bringing up the "Half the web will link here" thing was a *bit* too much?

Well, it was a lot too much. I am dis-appointed that all the newbies won't be staying, sure. It'd be fun to have a more active community <---- weird ugly white outline. Fail!

I have to disagree with this. This is not the one and only forum devoted to Diablo. There are plenty of others where people have been waiting long enough. Then, there are people who don't write on forums at all, but still play Diablo. Being a forum veteran doesn't really distinguish, it just gives a more mechanical account of how long have you been on a Diablo website. In fact, I have been here since last November, but I am not really waiting for Diablo III. As I have original said, I am here "for the community".
I do agree that complaining about the actions of Blizzard or the forum administration is distracting and unnecessary. It was clearly stated that Diablo III will not be announced on May 1st. And on the other hand, I think the renewal of this website would serve as a morale boost for those waiting for Diablo III, because it shows that Blizzard is turning its attention to Diablo again.

They didn't redraw the smilies for the new skin... lol
The lurkers/noobs will disappear and hopefully the newbs that are left are not idiots and spammers.

I didn't want to bring it up, but there were several well-known people that were ready to leave when I left. I asked them to stay. Won't say who, and I won't get into my influence here. But you got some fucking nerve starting this shit up when all I was trying to do is keep hope in the people that come here on a regular basis.
Let me isolate some of the post FOR ALL OF YOU TO SEE!!!!!

The first paragraph is about everyone who will and who has come here for a post or two, and left and never come back. One-post-wonders.
The second one is for the people that will stay. I don't want the ones that come and spam, I want the ones that will actually give to the community.
Chaos you have no right or knowledge to speak about my departure. You have no idea what happened and what I had to do so there really is no reason for your discourtesy other than the fact that you just wish to be a jackass. Carlos made a simple thread and if you don't agree with him(Which I know you do because you complain about 'noobs' all the time, you're only arguing with him for the sake of being a jackass) then you don't need to attack him for reasons that deal nothing with this thread. I have told you several times before: You are a child. You are a child, not because of your age but because of the way you behave. Also, I know you like to think my opinion doesn't matter but I'm sure there are plenty of people on this site who would like to see what I have to say.
Getting back on topic. Carlos, I haven't been back long enough whether to agree or disagree with you on this matter. Good to see you're still here though.
