I chose Braveheart because if we were in a world without that movie...non of the movies today would be so gfg. IMO
Yes Braveheart was one of the first movies to show outstanding battle scenes. And yes, without Braveheart, none of the other movies would be the same. And yes, Braveheart is gfg. But if you were to look at all the selected movies in this poll, picture them as all new releases and pick your favorite.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
Movies would be exactly the same even if Bravenheart never came out...
Maybe...You might be right. But all the countless times I watch movies, I always see something that reminds me of Braveheart (If the movie is a war movie)

It's called lame operating techniques. But really I'm pretty sure Bravenheart wasn't the first movie of that sort. The first popular one, but that doesn't mean much. If Bravenheart didn't do it, someone else would.
I'm sorry but from what I saw 300 was just a punch of pissed off guys with muscular bodies fighting eachother with swords and shields wearing nothing but speedos, helmets and capes. Something doesn't add up there. I vote for LotR because I haven't seen Braveheart in about a decade. And I will say right now I never saw 300 because it looks stupid to me. It appeared to be nothing but over-dramatized fighting seens(which could have been very good for all I know) but it didn't look appealing to me. Also, don't flame me for stating my observation because I said I haven't seen the movie. Did I judge it based on the commercials? Yes. I'm not saying the fight seens sucked because I have not seen them. I'm saying that it looked like the movie was only going for the teenage boy crowd who just want to see a bunch of guys fighting.

300 is glorified. They don't wear all the armor and everything kinda because its so cool. I'm straight but even I can say "damn those guys are buff". They fight for a reason, and if you see the movie you'll understand. In many ways its like Braveheart, and especially like LoTR where everyone goes fight a battle they know they probably can't win.
You just gotta give it a chance, watch it and let me know what you think. It is #2 for me, right under LoTR. #3 is Braveheart, and Braveheart has been #2 for years mind you.
Spartans didn't wear much armor, actually, but, they were not so buffed up because those kind of muscles are gym muscles, real war muscles actually don't look like that, they look normal...

Which is what I meant about the glorifying. Good point on the muscle too, I hadn't thought about that.

Yes I do, he's my best friend.
No, they hang out everyday, they're neighbors. Stupid.
You guys are a lot smarter than the last site I got kicked out of.
Yep, seen your kind before. Either you can accept that there is always someone to smack you back into being nice or you can be respectful.
What argument? It has been established that LoTR pwns.
"Cards and flowers on your window, your friends all plead for you to stay,
sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way."
