Ha, you're right! I don't know why I thought that for so long:
Quote from "WorldOfSanctuary »
[I]The greatest of these heroes was Izual, lieutenant to the Arch-Angel Tyrael and bearer of the Angelic Runeblade Azurewrath.[/I'] He once led a fierce attack upon the Hellforge as the creation of the dark demonblade Shadowfang was nearing completion. His quest was to destroy both wielder and weapon - a charge that he was destined never to complete. Izual was overcome by the legions of chaos and, tragically, was lost to the Darkness. His fate stands as testament to the fact that Angels and Demons alike shall fearlessly enter into any domain - so long as their hated enemies dwell within
I'm not saying Tyrael became evil, he became Baal, he didnt have a choice in the matter hes just baal in a shiny new suit
Have any of you thought that maybe the "Evil Tyrael" is maybe not Tyrael? Maybe he is actually Inarius or some other angel. i think that maybe Tyrael, after destroying the world stone (that stopped hell or heaven from entering but then became a portal to hell or something like that) was almost dead, or actually dead and Inarius somehow escaped from his prison and since he looks a lot like Tyrael he took his place so you maybe do a whole bunch of quests for him thinking that he is actually Tyrael until the real Tyrael comes and is like "I never told you to do that!" and you have to undo what Inarius has done. but i am pretty sure that Tyrael is not evil. as someone else has said before me there still are a lot of bosses that havent been seen yet like Belial and Astrogha and i think that there is a guy named Asmodeous or something like that. it could also be Imperius. i think it would be neat if Inarius comes and when you are about to wreck his plans he says that he was trying to stop Imperius and you're like "DAMN wrong angel AGAIN" and you have to stop Imperius from destroying Sanctuary while Fighting Diablo and in the end you have to team up with the demons and Inarius and Tyrael to stop Imperius in a huge fight for the fate of the world!
mephisto is dead though, in act 4 you destroy mephisto's soulstone and get a bunch of gems and stuff remember?? diablo is obviously not dead because the game is based off of him, and im not sure about baal
Wait a minute. i'm a bit confused here. from what i remember Baal 'Corrupted it'. does that mean that Baal ended up putting a piece of himself in it or is it just tainted like i thought?
Tyrael being corrupted is an interesting thought. This brings to mind the destruction of the world stone at the end of D2 was this really a good act by Tyrael or was there another motive? Because even if it was corrupted, Destruction of the world stone would make it easier for evil to be released into the world... im no lore expert, but perhaps Tyrael was cast our of heaven for this act and has become a rouge angel. just a thought.

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]I find your lack of faithdisturbing.
Ok, I am finally going to post on this thing the reasons Tyrael being corrupted aren't going to work:
1st and foremost: There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that angels are even capable of being coorrupted. Don't go throwing Inarius up as an example either, he wasn't corrupted by the hells, he was just full of himself and his own perceived infallibility. Also, don't refer to izzy. There is an entire difference between a foot soldier angel who has been captured and tortured by the demons and an Arch Angel member of the Angris Council.
2nd: Tyrael is the archtypical representation of the high heavens and more or less the guardian of sanctuary. He will not die or be corrupted or anything like that until the series ends. He is too major of a character in the games and lore now to simply corrupt for the purposes of one game. Aint gonna happen, but if it does, it will be in the last diablo game which this one aint.
3rd: Tyrael corrupted is way too obvious for a blizzard stoyline.
4th: Tyrael is shown after the destruction of the world stone still fighting the forces of hell--Moon of the spider, which is written by Knaak, who blizzard already said what he writes trumps all other lore basically.
5th and last: Corrupting Tyrael doesn't make any sense storyline wise. It doesn't mesh with what has been shown on the website, would have no connection to the triune, and really doesn't do a lot to differentiate the game from D2.
Also, I don't think that Imperius is the threat either. He has pledged by the agreement of the angris council with Mephisto and would not break such an agreement. Nore would he act independently of the Angris council and go behind their backs on this.

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]"Fool! You have just ensured the doom of this world. You cannot even begin to imagine what you've set in motion this day. Go to the Temple of Light, in the eastern ciry of Kurast. There you will find the gate to Hell opened before you. You must find the courage to step through that gate Marius. Take the stone you hold to the Hellforge, where it will be destroyed. Now run! Take the stone and run!"
I don't know if some1 posted this allready... i'v been lurking on diablofans for too long As u all know... The mistery with icy thing.. when they announced Diablo 3.. Might be the same thing with "Tyrael" on the current web site ... on the start he was different.. and they updated him .... maybe he is turning into "EVIL" is true or Oo?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Or, the space-time is fluctuating around him, creating atmoic votextes that force his matter to coalesce into 57 dimensions. Which creates the effect of him breathing, when in fact he is standing still.

Kudos to you, Blackwing!
I actually knew less about that than either of you, I have been blissfully ignorant too happy to nix Izual for the bonus skills, how shallow of me
Oh I'll use it.
But seriously, if theres one thing I strive to perfect, it's my knowledge of Diablo.

Now if he was serious or not, I don't know.
well that is something i didn't know but if they don't breathe why is he moving like that.. Oo ?
Or it's an impostor.

Or Bashiok is just joking
