Alright, there was another thread about this a few months ago, and we all came to agreement that the character class who shattered both Diablo's and Mephisto's soulstones was in fact the Necromancer. Continuation of this topic, do you agree it is the Necromancer or another class?

Diablo 2 Act IV Cinematic - Terror's End Class Selection Screen
Now IMO, the hand in the cinematic had a bracer, and based on the Class Selection Screen, the Necormancer, indeed has a bracer protecting his hand
The REAL answer (according to the storyline) is whatever character you're playing when you pass from Act IV to Act V. Visually, there have been arguments for every character class.
Unlike diablo 1.There's no cannon hero for diablo 2.
The cannon hero is described has a grp of adventured and not only 1.
It's also said that most of them become mad after diablo 2..Because of the horror they faced.

I'd say the real answer is that the Necromancer did in fact smash them, however unlike previously believed he wasn't alone.

I'm still hopeful we'll actually get to know who killed them. Sure, most of the world has forgotten the Three were in fact defeated. But not Cain, and he's still alive, and we apparently get to talk to him a lot. It doesn't make sense if he doesn't tell us who the warriors were.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Why the prime evil created a forge able to destroy their soulstone and thus their spirit?
They built a Hellforge powerful enough to create powerful and legendary weapons. It is just a side-effect that it also happens to have enough power to destroy a soulstone.

It does look like the necromancer's arm.
Though in regards to Diablo the canonical hero is one who apprears in the sequel too. (although this cannot be confirmed until there is a sequel), and the canonical hero is a male melee fighter.
That would make the canonical hero of D2 the barbarian.
It does look like the necromancer's arm, but I like to think it's the barbarian.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
