I was recently exploring the internets when I came across a rather odd picture of a Sorceress and a Dragon. Now, having played Diablo 2 for a long time I'm sure there is no such thing as a dragon in it, so I was hoping the Ds here could help me figure this picture out

I also took note of 3 fires in the picture that resemble dragons

This was already talked about. It is from a mod and not the original game.

but weren't mods outpatched really early before LoD? I remember having that mod that had a random Natalya who summoned a fire golem that could cast volcanoes, before LoD came out. among other things. but then a patch later and they were useless

i remember that mod Diabolical that was an awesome mod, you could basicly mod your character ingame and when u left everything was reset. But it was really fun for pvp

Trag'Oul was the only "dragon" I ever heard about in Diablo, and seeing as he can't enter himself, it would be interesting even seeing him. I'm highly doubting it. Dragons are mostly reserved for high fantasy, not dark fantasy.

The dragon is btw from Baldur's Gate. Animations from games using the Infinity engine are popular to use.

No, not at all. New patch just means the mod (most of the time) has to be updated to work again. The modding scene in fact really got going with 1.09

Like Phrozen Dragon stated many mods have added many monsters from other games. The most common is either from D1 or from the Balder Gate series of games and spin offs.

It is hard for me to tell which mod it is from since that is not the full image.

Looks like a wyvern from Nihlathak's quest in Eastern Sun.

Rykker: It looks like it is in the Act 4 Hell region. I looked a little bit on what mod it is and it looks like it may be.
