P100 gives you: 300 core stat, 200 vitality, 100 off stat, 100 off stat.
The new paragon system makes achieving this impossible....why have we been robbed of all this?
In ROS beta I am able to apply 49 points per category. This does't make sense to me....NOT AT ALL
The new point system strips you of all your p100 paragon points, meaning the 300, 200, 100, 100 have been taken off your account and now can be "redistributed" equally in four different areas meaning you have 25 points per category.
Let's look at the core stat tab we have the following available options: core stat, vitality, movement speed, maximum resource. Core stat and vitality both increase by 5 per paragon used, movement increases by .50%, and max resource increases by 1.00.
This is BS....25 paragon points is not reflective of the 300, 200, 100, 100...matter of fact you cant even achieve those numbers with the 25 paragon. The best you can do is +125 core stat. WTF that isnt even half of what you had before. The balance is off badly...if i split them up I can get 65 core stat and 60 vitality compared to 300 core stat and 200 vitality we had before.
I understand that we have other categories to apply our paragon points but once they are all applied we dont see an improvement in character....paragon 2.0 initially seems like a downgrade for players.
Thoughts? I havent played that much this is just initial thoughts. Not hating on paragon 2.0 just confused.
Except that your average piece of gear at lvl61 has 300 main stat plus 300 vit, as compared to 200/200 on a top-end piece before. And it only gets more crazy as you get to level 70.
Think about the fact that you have no limit now for core stats, past a certain point it will always be better, that point is just end game instead of current.

You definitely have a limit for core stats in Paragon 2.0.
In the Patch 2.0.1 PTR (not ROS), I've already found 300/300 gear with reduced level requires that I can equip at 60 and below.
Have you played the PTR? I'm not sure what you mean by "drastic deficit". Monster power has been totally rescaled and many skills have been buffed. Also, you can spend paragon points on crit hit chance/damage, which I've found to be a much better increase to dps than just pure main stat.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I found that the PTR plays differently enough that worrying about a few hundred main stat just isn't worthwhile as it's compensated for in many other ways.

No, no you don't. Once you have maxed out everything else, you can continue putting points into core stats.
You have to get a lot more paragon levels to do it now, but it is unlimited.

Really? So um where is your source, because blizzard has clearly stated multiple times that the 3 other categories have limits of a total of 200 points 50 per bonus, core stats have no limit and anyone who has been on the PTR can confirm that there is no maximum value listed, check yourself before you wreck yourself spouting nonsense.

directed at OP aswell, soft cap on paragon levels is 800, which means maxing out all stats found in offensive/defensive/utility and for every Plvl after that u gain a core stat point. there is no ceiling on core stat points
to me its a better setup than 300 200 100 100, cause honestly if you are a lets say a bar, what do u gain from 100 intell and dex, other than 10 allres and a bit of dodge

But that is assuming we buy ROS.
I feel as though D3 Vanilla paragon 2.0 should of at least just kept us where we were at.
Now we are seeing a drastic deficit right off the bat.

It depends. At lower levels, yes. At higher levels, most certainly not.
