I think i like the idea of crafting a particular item with a white item as the base as long as it doesn't have a variable to searching for a base item with perfect stats, a at least I feel motivated to pick up whites though because the cost to craft includes common debris now and honestly it is way more fun to kill on PTR than live i have seen at least 12 different wiz builds that would never have a place on live.
Think about the fact that you have no limit now for core stats, past a certain point it will always be better, that point is just end game instead of current.
You definitely have a limit for core stats in Paragon 2.0.
Really? So um where is your source, because blizzard has clearly stated multiple times that the 3 other categories have limits of a total of 200 points 50 per bonus, core stats have no limit and anyone who has been on the PTR can confirm that there is no maximum value listed, check yourself before you wreck yourself spouting nonsense.
I have no lifesteal on most of my characters but I do have life on hit and really on master pretty much indestructible aside from some affix moments with like vortex arcane enchanted thunderstorm then it can get a little dicey

I personally find it rewarding with the current drop rate of white blue and yellow items to grab a few whites and salvage them to craft a pair of gloves or bracers. if i needed to examine every single white item for potential to craft based on it being the "best version" I think I would quit playing, it's one of the huge things that turned me off of runewords, you always had to have the absolute best base item and it wasn't worth it if you didn't. Also keep in mind the blizzard design philosophy is moving towards just keep killing rather than full inventory all the time. Keep moving keep killing; not stop every time a white drops, go online figure out if it has the maximum base stats is it going to work for what you are trying to craft, will it be the best, oh wait I just spent 10 minutes figuring out if a white item was "good enough', no thanks.
i am interested, i started crafting ways to get every achievement but this one has been eluding me as to a logical way to get it without a true team/teammates who also want to get it, battletag Aventemplar#1266
not that it will persist but i still wanna do it cuz i am an achievement master =)
edit was to change the number on my tag i didnt have access to check b4 and filled in what i thought was the right number
ever since they announced the barbarian would be coming back in D3 i have played around with builds but for the sheer awesome factor they always have been set with wrath of the berserker, i call this one the close and kill spec it has two means to close distance whether leaping to your enemy or using ancient spear to bring them to you, cleave and bash as primary attacks and hammer as a heavy fury dump. the build is designed to maximize fury for when WotB is active and provide a good basic PvE build to hammer through with good survivability and utility
