But they DID NOT copy wow's art style... even if you are just saying... I just wanted to make sure and say that out loud.
And it is wrong to copy an art style... Why would anyone want that -.-
Of course they didn't. That wasn't the point of my post.
Nothing wrong with using an art style from the SAME COMPANY.
especially if that art style/game made you billions of dollars.
But I already made 2 previous post that disprove any similarities of art by posting actual screen shots from both games.

I am cheese. I am loved by all. I go great with everything. Other foods hate me because I take all the glory. Like Nachos..Their just jealous cause no one eats them unless Im there. Shit..I even ruined broccili's rep. Broccili kept talkin shit so I was like. " You know what?, I think I might melt myself on some Broccilli. See how those humans enjoy that green [sexual slur censored] now." Shit...Now,People dont even touch him, unless Im all over that shit! Ahhh..Its not easy, being cheesy.. Peace. Cheese Out.
Does the trees looks a like or resemble in any how ??? lets make them glow like a christmas tree. the zombies are from left 4 dead very inspiring. Try harder cause im not convinced.
Diablo II was ugly, man. Change is not always bad.
Yea you better take it back... Diablo 2 is one of the most beutiful games iv'e ever seen. I had dreams about the landscapes present in the game.... Places like the catacombs, palace cellar, tal rasha's tomb, durance of hate, chaos sanctuary, worldstone keep, the level of detail on those... And all of that just with that "lame" 2d graphic engine... Man... Just seeing the light coming in the den of evil after you kill the monsters made me think of how good looking this game is...
Its an old game, today it looks a little bad, thats right. But its surely not ugly.
Hear, hear! I thought Diablo 2 had beautiful visuals, still do today.
I also don't understand the comparisons of Diablo 3's art style to WoW, except maybe for the over-exaggerated armour which I haven't seen in a while so hopefully they got rid of that.
I do however think that Diablo 3 does look too cartoonish as I see it now. Sourceless, colourfully-hued lighting and the oh-so-smooth textures turn me off and don't bring the requisite darkness that I love to see in the Diablo games. God willing, I'll get what I want in the end but it seems unlikely.
I agree that the environments in D2 could have used a splash of color here and there, but it wasn't ugly. In terms of architecture it was beautiful, though in terms of color it was lacking. On the other hand one might argue that the colorful monsters and colorless environments helped enemy recognition immensely.
D3 is indeed not very detailed (instead quite smooth), but that is to keep specs down. The lighting we have seen so far is from open areas and places with windows and stuff, not dark caves or demonic dungeons
Haven't we seen dungeons? The Tristram Cathedral for one which had plenty of weird lighting. There are other examples as well. Most of them without any visible windows too.
As for the smoothness issue, I know you've said you have an old computer emilemil1 (at least I think you did) and that Blizzard is trying to be able to make a game for everyone but I just don't think this lack of detail does the atmosphere of the game any justice. It really sticks out and bothers me. I'm still hoping there might be something they can do to create some detail without penalizing old computer users but it doesn't seem very plausible.
You are the one trying to convince us, we don't have to give any proof that Diablo 3 doesn't look like wow because we like the style and could care less whether you think it looks like wow or not.
