yes, but grass is naturally green. Chambers of stone arn't naturally bright and overlayed with green.
If youll notice, this video was about how the dungeons look, not how the outdoors look.
ok not to be repetitive about my constant workings about how noone seems to understand.....i have in fact seen green stones ...not to mention tat is not a dungeon it is a church for some odd reason with bridges and ladders and other randomly out of place things thats the new tristram cathedral anyway if im not mistake the place has been well kept because after 5 years i hope they wouldve rebuilt aa bithiful chirch with GLass COLORED windows which could be the reason for green lighting...in other word the window was green= the stone turned a greener color and even if im wrong which i know im not in caves they are actually rather bright being ive been in one on a trip upstate to the rockies.... please understand the lore before you say that its not diablo 20 years is a long time and if they didnt rebuild then their civilization is retarded

We already covered this, the stones are not green, the green comes from a sourceless light. It also doesn't come from colored glass, which still wouldn't light up everything with a certain color like that anyways. There's no point in denying it.
Also, if i can read you correctly then you think green light actually turns the color of stones green over time? If that is what you are saying, well thats utterly ridiculous and just plainly wrong.
Actually, the green colour comes out of my arse. Curiosity satisfied? If the choice of colour makes you decide what game to play, or to even go as far as to literally judge a game by it, Diablo series is definitely not the right choice for you. You should be looking elsewhere.
i was not saying the stone actually becomes green but the colour changes in your perception due to the refraction of light through a green coloured window and actually all my statement is true when i went into a cave it was filled with crystals. AND THE LORE IS TOTALLY CORRECT TRY READING IT I WILL SAY IT AGAIN ITS BEEN 20 YEARS I THINK THEY CLEAN THEIR BELONGINGS REMEMBER HELL HAS JUST INVADED IT DIDNT ALREADY HAPPEN IT JUST STARTED WHEN YOU START THE GAME THEREFORE IT SHOULD BE BIRHT DISTURBED BUT STILL COULORFUL BUT IF ITS ACT 4 AND BRIGHT GREEN IN HELL I CAN SEE YOUR POINT...i hate how some of you people ignore the blatant truth SAID ON THE FUCKING D3 WEBSITE ...please stop saying im wrong i read cains journal 2 times and i have read the whole site once i believe i know what im talking about and i reread that site when im thiking of things liek this please stop saying its utter nonsense because then your saying that blizzard is wrong and the lore for d3 isnt correct when you dont even own the rights to it so just shut up

simple terms its not a dungeon its a cathedral in tristram you read the lore it tells you all this wonderful information also the "Sourcless green light" is induce by windows that may be green but yeah if i go to churchs' i see windows colourful windows and then the benches i sit on are diffrent colours because of the windows sooooo i dont see how your losing me im trying to explain it in two year old terms the lore tells you its a cathedral perfectly new and clean built after diablo 2 with no remnants of diablo 2 but alls thats wrong is a meteor came into it and theres demons and zombies around the dismantled church thats it it has everything to do with the lore your saying its not supposed to be soo colourful well actually it is go to your closest well kept church and tell me if its dull and gray and grainy because unfourtunatley mines not and if you wanna get creative look at the walsls and imaginge them half knocked down but youd still see the bright colours of the church.....what im getting at is that theres colour in the world its used for a reason gray is dull and boring which means not a good game so i believe that if the video is the end result of d3 its going to be boring as hell

i get your point that there is no window but im saying possibility second off uh my chruch has stained glas swindows and my seats in daytime are vibrant colours idk what church you go to but mine is very colourful...anyway i see what your saying now that it is nto a church but rather the dungeon underneath...your answer to the cleanliness has alot to do with if its colorfoul or usty because its not well kept if its the latter i could see it being graYER but since i believe its well kept it should be a little more vibrant than this video makes it now im going to end our back and forth trolling convo because i dont want to troll anymore than i have already

Ya... Doppelganger's on the money. The light is sourceless, the stones aren't green. I dont mind green stones, i do mind sourceless arbitrary lighting. A dungeon or a church, it doesnt matter. Theres no sources for the light, and its still a chamber of stone as I mentioned. As far as the game engine is concerned, it IS a dungeon.
who meh?... if so i suck at english so sorry for my horrible grammaer as im only 13 i ask you please deal with it until it gets better
Unrelated, but if your grammar sucks at 13 it will continue to suck for the rest of your life unless you put forth serious effort now to fix it. I was writing like this at 12 when D2 came out, and couldn't believe the number of retarded "kiddies" who were online. Little did I know most of them were probably older than me at the time.

there already has been an example of a game thats all as dark as the people supporting this edited version want it and it was (as of the graphics) extremely boring. Every level was different but felt exactly the same. And to get the chance to see the difference in enemies (as in different kind of enemies - always know which one is where) you'd have to paint them very very bright with colors like the ones we hated in Diablo 2.
Does the "why and what" of green gloom really matter, is it important whether physics of light are correctly applied?
No, it isnt.
It just looks silly, it doesnt help the mood in any way and is annoying, thats one crushing argument.
It reminds me not even remotely of a church, this feels more like a radioactive sewer.
I want Diablo, not
Wow: Wrath of Tschernobyl,
huge fail over there, dear devs.
Ya... I didnt realize it was suppose to be a church until you guys started talking about it as one. The arbitrary greens dont help it look church-ish at all. Most the churchs ive been in have a dim yellow or orange atmosphere from the candles and stained glass.

Blizzard is aware of all petitions and opinions by now. They've said they aren't changing it, something will probably be tweaked and that's it. No need to repeat the same arguments on both sides over and over and over again. Move on.
So that way they can think 'hey, maybe people dont care anymore'? Squeaky wheel gets the grease. No squeak, no grease.

Um... what? You can see them just fine in the desaturated video. The increased contrast makes it very easy to determine whats what. And for me, its easier to see them and determine whats what in the greater contrast than in the color washes. As for always seeing them, I dont want to always see them. Takes all the mystery and creepiness out of the game.

Though i'm no defensor of this video, i agree with you. Green is not the best color to enlight a dungeon.
But remenber - The church and the dungeon are different things. The dungeon (place where diablo was set in the dark exile) was hidden under the church. Thats why Diablo 1's ''church'' looks like a giant crazy maze. No church in the world looks like that. It's because the game passes in the basements and dungeons under it, not inside it.
Still I agree with you. A Yellow/Orange iluminations would make the place more realistic i think.
Yeah Everything is grey and dull... quickly boring indeed. You can see now why Blizzard chose the more colourful art style. But I already believed them.
I agree. I don't know why people think that less color is the meaning of be scary.

Too dark and colorless. Needs to be more of a balance.
I agree. I don't know why people think that less color is the meaning of be scary.
Well some have said they like the current. Some have said they like the modified, I'd prefer in the middle somewhere.
