So in Diablo 2 when you died your body would fall on the ground. Now for some people, you had an item (such as SS) and it required the bonus strength from your weapon to use. However, when you switched to your second weapon slot and died you didn't have enough strength to pick the item up. So when you went back to your body and tried to pick it up, you'd pick up everything except your SS. The result of dying in this condition caused ALL items on you to drop. Now this happened to me once in a dueling game. I got killed before I got my body back and everything dropped. Of course everyone took what they wanted and left the game. ANYWAY, I think they should remove this problem. What do you think?
It's a D2 problem not D3 problem? We don't even know if items will rely on stats, or if there will be such mechanic as players dropping items, or if players will be picking up the body at all or what happens with your items at the time of death.
You want them to fix a problem in D3 that doesn't even exist but you saw it in D2 and it annoyed you.
Some people literally think of D3 as a patch for D2 or something. My skin crawls when I see people hoping Bliiz 'fixes duping' in D3. What in the earth makes you think D3 will have any of these silly bugs? Reminds me of some stone-age people stuck in the 21st century and wondering if sleeping in the ground floor of a building is safe from predator attacks.

I think you misunderstand. I'm just suggesting they don't overlook something like this. It's true I don't know if they will even have a weapon switch or not. I'm just saying if they do.
indeed, but theres rarely the same bug on the sequels. The way to dupe on Diablo 1 by picking up the item and the pot/scroll/whatever from the belt at the same time didnt work with Diablo 2, even though the interface was almost identical. I highly doubt that Blizzard will have something like that in Diablo 3, its based on a completely different code too. On every new game we get new bugs, nothing old
Penragon,
That is a good suggestion. I didn't like that either.
Dimebag & Mjinwrak,
Lay off him...this is a valid suggestion for D3, and it's not really a bug its just part of the existing design...D3 is not an expansion but it is a sequel and we can assume that most things about the game will stay the same, such as the existence of items that have strength requirements, as well as the existence of items that have strength buffs, so his suggestion for a way to change the system is a perfectly valid one.
I don't think corpse popping will be a problem with the new bag inventory system, and the fact that every item only takes up one slot. Yup, it will be a thing of the past.
Mahamoti, how do you expect a feature like that to work when you can't fit anything taller than 2 squares in? xD
I'm talking about your sig thingy btw.

It may still be fun, but it will be World of Diablo.
From what I hear, we won't even have our body dropping when we die in D3 anyway. When you come back, your shit will all still be with you. Now, idk if that means we will be getting a durability hit (like in WoW) every time we die or not, but people should never be able to take anything from you, except for the possibility of an ear (if that even gets implemented again).

There are no stupid questions, just a bunch of inquisitive idiots.
You must have picked up a shield on the way to your body. If you would have picked up your body while completely naked, and then died, then your items wouldnt have dropped, you would've just had 2 bodies lying on the ground. It was called "Popping" and is extremely easy to avoid.
Easy solution: Don't pick up pieces of crap and then try to get your body.

Sounds like a pain in the ass though.
Because it's a game suggestion... to change it.

What a dumb question!
D3 has a one slot system like you just said!
Nah JK I thought the same thing at first. Luckily I realized D3 has a different inventory before I posted asking.
