after reading a threat posted about the Diablo Lore, I did a little research, and watched the opening cinematic for diablo 2, Now, theory's have risen about baal posing as tyreal.
This is only a thought, not a fact nor to be taken very seriously, Just a thought,
If you watch the opening cinematic for diablo 2 LOD transition from act 4 to act 5, baal sounds a bit like tyreal in the opening for diablo 2. "an i shall rule, unchallanged" sounds a bit, not a lot, but a bit like tyreal...
just a thought... thats all... just a thought.

My Bow is my silent assassin. Hidden in the sulfur filled sky's awaits He. He with his bow waits to take his shot.

yes Baal can disguise himself as Tyrael, why not warp his voice to sound like him as well? most "shapeshifters" when assuming the form of another, not only to the emulate their appearance but also their voice, and in many cases their idiosyncrosies and idiums.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I always thought it was strange for Baal to be the one able to disguise himself... he's the lord of DESTRUCTION. Subterfuge doesn't really fall within that domain.
I'd expect that most of Mephisto (Lord of Lies) yet Mephisto seems to be the most obvious and undisguised giant "kill me" blob of the entire trio.
Diablo is whom you would suspect to be the 2nd most likely to engage in subterfuge which he did admirably by horrifically undermining Leoric's royal family and the hero that avenged it.

In order for this to work, keeping in mind the story laid out in the Sin War Novels, Blizzard would have to do one of two things:
1. Retcon the hell out of the current story.
2. Come up with the lamest conspiracy-theory ever on how Tyrael and Baal can be the same persona. Especially since one appears immediately after the first one dies.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

But the last post was like...more than 3 years back...

I wanna play D3.

Also, the thread is more than three years old, and was created before Scales of the Serpent and The Veiled Prophet were released. It's highly out of date.
