Sep 21, 2008PlasticComplex posted a message on Win Tickets To BlizzCon 2008!if I were givin the chance to attend the blizzard convention I would use the oppertunity to present myself to any and all blizzard employees that willing to sit down and review my portfolio work for I am currently enrolled at the art institute of California San diego for the game art and design program. The chance to get live feed back and cruel yet brutally honest critiques on my work that would significantly improve me work and continue to make me better as an artist would be almost as important as the degree it's self. Blizzard is the best at what they do. I would love to be among the artists that have their names in the credits and artwork and blood sweat and tears in display for the rest of the world.Posted in: News

Apr 27, 2007PlasticComplex posted a message on Blizzard Confirms New Product Next Month!April 27, 2007 - Blizzard has updated its job listings with several positions that will be working on a next-gen massively multiplayer online game (MMO). The publisher/developer is seeking a Lead Engine Programmer, Lead Tools Programmer, and a Lead Technical Artist. Begin speculation…now.Posted in: News
The term "next-gen" is typically used to describe consoles, and World of Warcraft has been rumored to be heading to the Xbox 360. Of course, Blizzard's VP of Development Itzik Ben Bassat told Empire Magazine a few months ago that the company's next MMO would not be another WoW. The Lead Engine Programmer Blizzard is seeking will be in charge of developing an entirely new engine for this next-gen MMO, and a port of WoW would likely use a tweaked version of the existing engine.
There have also been ongoing rumors about the continuation of the StarCraft franchise as either another real-time strategy game or a World of StarCraft-type MMO.
Blizzard is set to make a major announcement at an event in Korea next month. IGN will be on hand at the event, and hopefully we'll learn more about this project at that time. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Remember.....
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
there is a significant difference between the two.
you can also adjust the settings in the game.

thats like saying "guided arrow" was an unfair spell....... or trapping the entrance camp in PvP, there are ways around it. Its all fair.

1. Upgrade the Ram and graphics card if you can, remeber PCI express is always the best, and fastest... AGP is ok, but always try for PCI express, figure out if your computer is AGP or PCI express slotted before going to buy a graphics card and getting mad because it wont fit or your computer wont boot right.. And ram, make sure you get the right ram. lots of people get the wrong one.... I dont recommend you open up your computer if you dont have a damn clue what your doing.. bring it to the store with you.
2. Get a bare bones kit and merge it with your current system. Bare bones is just what it means, you buy a bare bones PC, it include,
- Mother board & CPU combo ( recommend Core 2 duo or quad core )
- Ram
- graphics card ( not all the time though )
- processor
- Tower
- power supply
Barebones rarely comes with an operating system so be sure to grab one of those, you can use your same tower if the mother board fits correctly. ( keep in mind this is only for those who are familiar with building a computer or know someone that is good at this stuff ) this is a super cheap way to do it, wont run you more than $700 for a sweet ass rig.
try www.compusa.com, www.frys.com www.newegg.com numerous other sites, just go to www.google.com and type in barebones kit.
3. buy a new PC.... long term investment.. will more than pay for itself.
POST your computer specs if you know them and you need some questions answered, myself or someone else will get back to you as soon as possible.
Happy hunting.

My laptop is,
Alienware M5500
2.4Ghz core 2 duo
1 gig of ram
Geforce 7600 ( 256mb ram ) ( $1500 )
My desktop is,
HP media station.
2.4 ghz core 2 duo
2 gigs of ram soon to be 4 because of maya and 3ds max
Nvidia geforce 8800 GT ( 512 mb )
400gb hard drive ( $800 )
Your lap top cannot upgrade its card, its build into the mother board. Your processor will also have a lot to do with the performance , just like your graphics card. If you can, build a desktop from scratch. Diablo will not have steep requirements... none of the diablos have.
building from scratch will save you mucho money.
check out, www.compusa.com for their bare bone kits..
hope this helped, PM me if you have any more questions.

"Still, this is not to say that a skilled necromancer could not call forth a cadre of skeletal warriors to do his bidding anywhere he chooses. He merely requires less effort to construct a skeleton army in a graveyard than in the middle of a forest."
Should not rule out a necromancer yet, but the witch doctor could be in its place as a class that raises minions. Diablo is still under development and has much more capacity to hold many more classes in the future. i think blizzard is taking the right steps, and the expansion which should be due out in another 5 billion years will yield more classes or they will patch another class or two in. Its going to be an exciting series of events in the future. Keep researching.
As for the art side of it, i too would like a darker diablo 3, but we have only been exposed to so little so far so I'm sure we will not disappointed. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"

diablo and diablo 2 were very dark... and serious. can tell that World of warcraft has influenced their characters.
i will search high and low for the windforce hydra bow.
