Yea, I think a class made just to annoy people would be essential in Diablo 3.
ya it could be an unlockable char. like you get to max lvl lets say 100 and you beat all the acts in the game. and then you will get a new char that just does messed up things. like turn into a chicken and peck your enemies to death.
oh thats another thing that should be in diablo 3, unlockable character.
It could be done. Blizzard managed to put new classes on WoW and the people with the expansion and without the expansion were able to play on the same server. That in mind I don't think they did that with Diablo II but I don't recall much prior to expansion. Either way if they can have a new race and play with the old races in WoW they could finaggle it to where an unlocked character was playable online in multiplayer

I dont agree with the mounts, because it is basicly copying WoW, mounts should only be set for a specific character like teleport was a source of travel for the sorce in D2
WE do not need any new way to travel. It keeps the adventure of the game going. People who say maphack is a helpful hack is wrong. Maphack takes all the adventure out of the game. So does rushing.

and somewhat on game length as that tends to determine what level you max out at. if you count all 3 difficulties LOD is fairly long, so you max out at around 100. WOW seems shorter so you max out at a lower level, but that could also be due to how big the gaps are bewteen levels. In same games you level quite fast (smaller gaps) others slower (bigger gaps).
one game would be say 500 1000 2000 5000 while another might be 500 2000 6000. Based on those numbers a character in the first game has gone up 4 levels while the character in the other game has yet to reach his 3rd level up.

People will finish in a day. Rmember when ladder reset? There were level 99's in days.
Thats why the make the game long diablo2 is to damn short. If they make like 200 acts with 13000 quests I highly doubt they will finish it in a day. I would like a diablo that long.:Dp.s you call those ppl who get to lvl 99 in a day NERDS!

I Like that idea. And I think for diablo to compete with other MMO's of the day its going to have to be that long to satifsfy gamers. And they can always keep adding story, items, quests, patches, acts with new expansions or patches. like they always do...
They could learn something from Baldur's Gate II. you cant finish that game in a day, even if you leave out virtually all 300 of the side quests. Not even if you played it non stop for 24 hours straight, wizzing in a bottle, shitting in a bag, and smacking your little brother to go get nachos, err... and to get rid of the bottles and bags.
Some story related/story progression quests force you to take side quests, and some of them can be very, very long.
Try as I might, I can't finish that game in under 5 days. I think my record is 7 or 8. And that was when I was on holiday and didn't have a job or nagging parents, just me and my computer.
Also due to it's nature, you cannot get rushed in that game. You can't have some lvl 39 guy (max level is 40, unless a mod is installed), jump on and hook you up with a few waypoints and kill all the tough "end of act" bosses for you, you pretty much have to grind your way through the entire game. And no it's not just because there are no Waypoints to use, although that is a part of it. It's all based on the story related quests, and what the make you do while on said quests. they are generally a little more expansive than "go here kill that, right next quest".
But I will admit overall the Diablo series is a very good series, it does what it set out to do. though the "Hostiling" thing could do with some adjusting. Man is it annoying having some jackass jump in your game hostile you then kill you before you get a chance to get to town or quit out of the game, either due to lag or you not paying attention.
"agree to Hostile" thats really all that game needed. There is "agree to party, so the mechanics/technology or whatever is there. If I don't want to fight then it's simple I don't agree to them hostiling me. BAM pker problem solved, well fot the most part. someone will undoubtably find a way to hack the game and by pass this feature.
or alternatively both them and you must be in town to hostile.

this is what they should do then. instead of having an option to do some quests that you have to do in order to beat the act. they should have like 5/6 quests you have to beat in order to go to the next act.
and another thing. maybe instead of when you lvl up. you get 5 stat points and 1 skill point. you could just have 5 stat points and no skill points. but to lvl up your skills. you have to use them a certian amount of time. and when you use a skill like 100 times then it lvls up. sorta like experience for your skills rather than experience for killing.

And Waypoints.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
