Im having trouble with Act 1 past SK... Are my stats hindering me? Or do I need to try another build? Where were you guys when you made it into act 2 stats wise?
*edit* This is with magic weapon active, and Im using a venom hydra/disintegrate build.
Just beat Skeleton King last night and I can say for a fact my stats are much worse than yours in every regard except HP.
Dmg ~17500 w/ magic weapon/force weapon
Resists around 130
I find things challenging but not overbearing, but only after i switched out of using disintegrate altogether and went for an arcane orb kiting build. I simply do not have the defense/resist to be able to use disintegrate without putting myself in unnecessary danger.
Currently running:
Shock Pulse: Orb
Arcane Orb: Tap the Source
Diamond Armor: Crystal Shell
Magic Weapon: Force Weapon
Energy Armor: Force Armor
Hydra: Venom Hydra
Think i nabbed it off a youtube somewhere but its going fairly well at the moment. Still unsure as to whether I like Venom or Arcane Hydra better.
Passive: Glass Cannon, Astral Presence, Galv Ward. Not sure how much further in A1 you are than me but try a more mobile build you might like it.
1489intelligence and 21K dps WITH force weapon ? It probably means you have a really really shitty weapon :/
Well 21K dps for A1 isn't bad though your problems may come from "getting used to it". Also you may try Teleport+Illusionist as a defensive, its pretty good. You have enough life and res if you go with force armor.
lol my act 1 inferno stats were 13kdps, 24k life but I did have good resists/damage reduction, somewhere near 65% with prismatic armor. BUT still cleared it, just got no hope with act 2 so trying to farm act 1. keep getting crap even with neph val buff. Butcher drops shit even with buff count of 5.
I had thought about deleting the sig spell, but coming from electrocute/ disintegrate build it felt weird not having a "piercing" spell in order to soften things up at the back. Not quite sure whether galv ward really warrants the passive, but I always feel it delivers for some small healing between fights and heals me just enough during long kiting sessions in boss fights. I will definitely work around with a non sig spell build when I can, thanks for the advice!
You can also use only a sig spell like SP - Piercing orb. Works very well imo, not the greatest single target but does massive damage when kiting because it's a piercing attack.

I just cleared act 2 inferno with ~29k hp, ~25k dps (buffed with force weapon), ~700+ resist all (buffed with prismatic armor, which I use over force armor. Maybe 525ish without), and ~6k armor. I use 1h + shield.
34K Health 32K damage 300ish All resists
Act 3 Siege 5 stack siegebreaker runs ftw!
50K unbuffed damage - amazing.. Id love to see your stats (screen shot) and your weapon - not cause I dont believe but because I'd like to know what it takes to get it up that high. (Mass APS?) Speaking of which - APS doesn't work with Hydra or Blizzard does it? I sure can't tell a difference. For instance, if I'm using Chain Lighting and get a Frenzied shrine, I can tell an instant difference in kill speed - Frenzied with Blizzard - Hydra? Can't tell a difference.
Your +Res All must be non-existent. I have 650 on nearly all my resists while still doing 25k damage on my WD (with a very bad singleH weapon). I thinking finding items that have the most important states would do you wonders:
MY general Rule is this:
+All Resist
+Vitality
+Intelligence
+Armor/ Resistances
Plus you need a better weapon if that is with magic weapon. I don't know my stats off the top of my head but I have around 25k damage, 40k life, 650 res all, and 1100 mana.. not sure my intelligence. My crit damage is 160% with a high chance apparently.. Anyway
